I love Alima Pure. This is hands down the best foundation I have ever used. I have tried so many products looking for a shade that matched and stayed that way. A lot of times, if I would find something that matched, an hour later, I would look in the mirror and the color went horribly wrong. I have not found this to be the case with almost 2 years of using Alima Pure. If you ever have a problem, their support line is quick to fix it. And it's an American company, with American workers and is 100% cruelty-free. I highly recommend all of their products.
I LOVE this fragrance! It reminds me of fresh fruit and clean linen. Excellent for warm weather. I don't like the bottle artwork, personally, but the fragrance makes up for it. I've worn it for two spring/summers and have no plans on stopping. It's my signature scent. I think the twin fragrance is Hippie Chic by True Religion. They smell almost identical to me.
Concealers -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer

I have always used solid concealers and never liked anything creamy or liquidy because I didn't think they covered. This may very well be the case with everything except Double Wear. I received an extremely generous sample (it's lasted almost a year). I didn't have high hopes but since it was free I gave it a shot and WOW! It's amazing. I'm pale and light medium is a good match. It covers perfectly. I don't use the wand applicator. I put it on my finger and pat it in and it doesn't leave that thick spot mark that every other concealer has (maybe I have bad technique?). Anyway, I love this concealer and will never try another! It covers blemishes, dark circles, you name it and it hasn't ever caused me to break out. Good stuff. I will have no problem spending 20 bucks on it.

LOVE this stuff! Smells so juicy and fruity. Can't get enough of it. Get lots of compliments on it as well.
Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base

Yuck. This stuff was greasy and made my skin feel gross. Not a good primer at all. Didn't do anything it claims.
Cleansers -Clinique - Redness Solutions Soothing Cleanser
Ava_B 8/30/2009 5:03:00 PM
This stuff does not foam or lather, so I ended up using a lot of it trying to get 'clean'. I never felt like it did anything positive for my skin. It didn't break me out or make anything worse, it just didn't do anything. I wouldn't recommend this stuff for people who like foam/lathering cleansers. It just feels like you are washing your face with eyemakeup remover. Yuck.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Redness Solutions Daily Relief Moisture Cream

This stuff smells horrible. I can hardly get past the scent. I dread using it because I feel like my face smells like Elmer's Glue. I'm not impressed with it. I used it for the two weeks along with the cleanser and wouldn't buy it again. Now I am stuck with a stinky jar o' goo.
Skincare - Body -Victoria's Secret - Whispering Mist body lotion

I miss this stuff and wish they'd bring it back or I could find something like it. It was so nice and pretty smelling and light. It reminded me of fresh air and flowers.

I agree that it is a comforting scent, Very clean and fresh and can be worn year round.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Wild Honeysuckle Body Spray
Ava_B 5/2/2009 8:16:00 PM
I like it, but I don't think it smells like Honeysuckle. It doesn't compare to the old Honeysuckle Mist that Victoria's Secret used to make. THat stuff was great!

It's a nice scent. It's light and clean, but it KILLS my lungs and burns my nose. It gets in my lungs and makes me cough every time. Glad I'm not the only one. I wonder what it is that causes it to make some people cough and sneeze? I have not had this problem with other scents.
Pressed Powders -Estee Lauder - AeroMatte Ultralucent Pressed Powder
Ava_B 10/11/2008 7:43:00 PM
Once you get the right color, it's a great powder. I normally use loose powder, but decided to pick this up and I'm really glad that I did. I had to take it back because the SA gave me 2W Light (I wear 1C1 foundations) and I traded it for a 1C Light and it was terrific! I put it on outside in broad daylight (some of the most unforgiving light) for the first time and it melted into my skin. I couldn't even see it, but my skin looked clean and matte. From the looks of it, it should last me a long time so 26 bucks really wasn't a bad deal. The packaging is very nice. I'm not super crazy about the puff so I may use the EL powder brush and see how that works out.
This is the best Estee Lauder liquid foundation that I have used. Actually, it's the best I've ever used period. I love this stuff and it has some SPF, although not much, It goes on nice and looks clean. I was instantly impressed with it. The color was great too. I am a 1C1 in Estee Lauder so I use Ivory and it is a perfect match. I like the way it improves the tone and texture of my skin. It's like my skin but better and the coverage is somewhat buildable. I haven't noticed any issues with staying power. I was surprised to read that some people have problems with it. I use AeroMatte to set it. I don't know if that makes a difference.. The only thing I would like to see is it come in a pump like some of the other products. I think I finally found my HG!
Wow! This is a really great creme foundation. I am so impressed with it and considering the 6.99 price tag, it makes it even better! I would pay over 20 bucks for the stuff, I liked it so much. It has a great texture, it matched my skin perfectly and it covers really well. Just make sure your skin is hydrated because it does have a powdery feel to it. It's doesn't have the gunky creme feel, it really glides on light and powdery. I was really surprised. It does have a pretty strong odor. It's not bad and you don't notice it after a few minutes but it does smell of perfume. The packaging is nice but my lid doesn't close all that well, it kinda flaps open, but it might have just been the one I got, It's also cruelty-free. I only buy makeup that is and it's nice to find something that good, that cheap AND that humane. Great product!
Liquid -Estee Lauder - Resilience Lift Extreme - Ultra Firming Makeup SPF 15
Ava_B 9/28/2008 10:02:00 AM
I'm on the fence with this makeup. Somedays I like it, some days I don't. I think it depends on the condition of my skin that day. It's pretty good for dry skin. It covers pretty well (good on pores) and you can build the coverage which is nice. The pump bottle is nice and the color was a perfect match (Nude). I guess the only downside is that I don't notice any "firming" results and it can go a little shiny after a while even on dry skin. I like it better than Lucidity.
