Eye Shadow -MAC - Brule
Audeamus 9/15/2010 8:07:00 PM
Poor pigmentation, great for blending. I'm not really sure why this is such a favorite (...) It is a great color for my browbone or to blend edges away and such, but you just have to apply so much that it's kind of a waste of money, since I own a (cheaper) eyeshadow of the same color with better color payoff. I don't think I will repurchase this again, unless I find a way to make real great use of this. If only the pigmentation was better, I think this would be a great eyeshadow to own, but as it is, it is not worth all the thumbs up in my opinion.

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
Audeamus 9/15/2010 10:03:00 AM
When I went to MAC, determined to get the Select Cover-up concealer, the MUA instantly informed me about the Pro Longwear concealer, and how it's her favorite one by far. A little hesitant - because I never heard of it before - I agreed to try it on. O my god, this is the best concealer EVER! It's not as visible as any other concealer I've ever tried. It just looks like you have nothing on! It blends like a treat, and it stays on like you would not believe - even without setting it with a powder! Not sticky, not cakey. Amazing. I am thrilled about it having a pump, too. I agree that you can get more product than you need to, but that's only when you are too harsh on the pump. I think the only 'bad' side is that it's a glass bottle, so I'm very, very carful to not drop my precious concealer. But if you're not as clumsy as me, there's really nothing bad to be said about this product. I love it, and I will never be without it!

Styling Products -Redken - Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion
Audeamus 9/3/2010 12:45:00 PM
I have loved this product for about a year now, and this is my HG styling product. This remarkable lotion makes my hair soft as a baby's butt. Also, and this is something that is a real bonus to me, it makes my hair dry a lot quicker without being frizzy whilst drying. I will never stop using this. It has made a real difference; I haven't been to a hairdresser in nearly half a year, just because my ends aren't as damaged as they were when I didn't use this fabulous heat protectant. It may be a little more pricey than the average drugstore products, but for the amount and, most importantly, for the result it gives you, it really is well worth it. Shame the new packaging is now silver, and not red anymore. I liked the red one. It gave it some schwung. Ah well, as long as they don't change the product itself!

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
Audeamus 8/25/2010 9:21:00 AM
This is my first NARS purchase ever, and I am freaking in love with this colour and its formula! Definitely not the least bit disappointed. I'm still not sure why some people say this blush is more a peach than a pink, because, um... It looks pretty pink to me, you guys. Okay granted, it's obvious that it's a peach-pink, but I have blushes that are more peach than pink, yo. Anyway, it goes on a bit differently on every skintone, so I might be a little biased by having a fair skin, and therefore a pretty blank canvas. But back to the product now. It has the prettiest golden flex to it, but not at all the more chunky glitter that Orgasm has. Deep Throat leaves a nice gleam, a natural looking glow. It looks the most beautiful flushed pink on me. I can't stop looking at this product. It's soooooo pretty. Even my parents, who know nothing of cosmetics and have no interest in my purchases whatsoever, loved this blush immediately. Even my brother, I mean... Wow. That pretty much proves the awesomeness of this product. It's kinda pricey, but it's worth every single penny. I would never want to be without this product ever again.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen- Modesty
Audeamus 8/25/2010 9:11:00 AM
I love love love this lipstick! I'm a sucker for MAC's Cremesheen formula, and I'm a sucker for neutral or muted pinks, so how could I not love it? It's a bit 'darker' than my natural lipcolour, which makes this so unbelievably wearable and versatile, but still glamourous, you know? It's not too pink, but it's not reddish or brownish either. It's seriously the perfect pink. It stays on pretty long, doesn't dry my lips and o my god, it smells like cookies! I can't stop smelling it. This lipstick is never leaving my collection. Ever.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Jest Eyeshadow
Audeamus 8/22/2010 2:35:00 PM
My first MAC eyeshadow ever and I still use it every single day. Prettiest frosted peachy-pink. It's great as a highlight(er), to use all over your lid, to brighten up your smokey eye, ... I reach for it every day. And if you just feel like wearing eyeliner, it compliments it too. Gives you just that little more. Paired with Satin Taupe in the crease, or just with All That Glitters if you feel like only Jest on the lid isn't enough. I seriously use it with pretty much every eye combo I do - it's just so versatile and pretty, especially with me being fair and a blonde. I will never ban this one out of my collection.

Blush -MAC - Gleeful
Audeamus 8/22/2010 8:38:00 AM
This blush is so underrated. It was the first MAC blush I purchased, and has been one of my favorites so far. It's quite scary-looking, especially for pale-skines like me, but it appealed to me at once. I wasn't quite sure when the MUA showed it to me - I mean, it's a deep wine-red with golden flex, for crying out loud -, and I was afraid that I would look too red on me. But let me tell you, this blush is Christmas to me. With just a slight tab with my brush, it gives me the most natural flush. And if I dab twice, I have the perfect nighttime flush. It leaves a hint of shimmer - not the chunky kind, but the highlighting kind. Perfect for wintertime, but I have no problem using it in the summertime, too. I love this blush, and I'm determined to go get me another Mineralized blush. I would repurchase this again, but I can hardly imagine me ever running out of this blush.

Blush -MAC - Dame
Audeamus 8/22/2010 8:25:00 AM
First off, this is the first MAC blush that has left me disappointed. It looks heavenly in the pan, and it looked soooo damn pretty on me in the MAC store, but it just doesn't have as much pigment as my other ones. I seriously have to swirl or dab about five times to pick up the amount of colour I would have gotten with any other blush. It also kinda looks a bit red on me, and not the pretty doll pink I expect. It just looks prettier in the pan than on my face, period. Maybe in wintertime... But I won't repurchase this item again. I'm actually thinking of swapping this one for another pink blush.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Peaches
Audeamus 8/22/2010 8:19:00 AM
As many products turn out to look quite orange on my fair skin, I was a little cautious when a MAC Make up artist recommended it to me. It looked so... orange. But man o man, when she dabbed that stuff on my cheek I was absolutely flabbergasted. It made me look so awake and cheerie! It makes you look flushes, but in a good way. A fresh flush would be a good description. I bought it, still feeling a bit of doubt towards the color, but that feeling immediately evaporated when I put it on myself the next day. I don't know how it'll look in wintertime, but it's definitely one of my favorite summer blushes. I don't think I'll repurchase it again, just because I don't think I will run out of this in the next five years or maybe even more. I love this, but I would give other 'peaches' a try. Certainly got rid of me shying away from orangey-looking blushes!
