Lotions/ Creams -Trader Joe's - Coconut Body Butter
Asianbarbiee91 4/18/2013 4:18:00 PM
What's not to love? It smells delicious, has hints of vanilla and coconut. It has a thick, luxurious texture that moisturizes quite well given that the price is under $5. I also like that you can flip open the lip instead of having to unscrew it every time like.
Lips -Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics - Lip Tar - Nylon
Asianbarbiee91 11/1/2012 2:45:00 PM
It's extremely bright and neon, yet it is wearable IMO. I love this more than my Candy Yum Yum lipstick. Nylon lasts much longer, and has less drying/feathering effects on my lips. You need to use a lip brush to get this product on precisely. I simply use the mini lip brush that came with the tar @ Sephora. A teeny tiny bit goes a long way. A true neon pink!
Treatments -L'Oreal - Everpure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque
Asianbarbiee91 6/2/2012 9:17:00 PM
This is my new HG hair masque. For years, I've invested so much money into hair treatments in hopes of reviving my dry, damaged, color/perm-treated hair... Kerastase was the only one out of the dozens I've tried that seemed to moisturize well enough. But I go through it so quickly and it's more than $50 a small tub! Well I'm so glad I came across Everpure masque in Bed Bath & Beyond for only $6. It's totally comparable to Kerastase.. hydrates my dry/damaged hair very well and makes it shiny. Definitely worth trying ladies & gents!
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie
Asianbarbiee91 6/2/2012 8:14:00 PM
Lip butters are hit & miss on me, depending on the shades/amount of glitter/etc. However, Berry Smoothie is my favorite..hands down! It brightens up my face, gives my lips an ample/juicy look without the nasty tingling effect from "lip plumpers", and is definitely cost efficient. The glitter in it is much more subtle than the ones in the "Peach Parfait" shade (not a fan of that one) and I can wear this to work (professional setting) without looking silly. I highly recommend this to those who are looking into trying lip butters. ! I just wish it lasted longer
So, this product burns the crap out of my eyes... even when I've tried applying it as far away from my eyes as possible. No other mask has ever given me this negative effect. Besides that, I find this mask a hassle to use and do not reach for it as often as I'd like. I try to use a mask on my face at least once a week but this requires much more time than other masks I've tried previously. It takes forever to dry, and it hurts a lot once the peeling takes place. In addition to that, my sink becomes a mess with all the little pieces from the dry mask that spreads everywhere. Once water touches the product, it becomes even harder to remove from the sink. I do see a nice effect once I successfully get the mask off my face. It makes my skin glow, makes it feel smooth, and I believe the treatments I use afterwards sink in even better. However, this is definitely not a convenient mask. I prefer ones that I can simply just wash off without dealing with such a mess.
Highlighters -MAC - Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish
Asianbarbiee91 5/12/2012 7:08:00 PM
MAC Superb is one of the most desired products from the recently released Extra Dimension line. It has a reputation for being extremely similar to Laura Mercier's Rose Rendezvous Highlighter. However I do not own RR and cannot compare. Superb is one of the best skinfinishes from MAC I've ever tried. Unlike the original mineralize skin finishes, it does not accentuate lines or pores. The formula is much silkier and without the grittiness that most MSFS have due to the excessive glitter. Superb is a bronzey creamy light pink tone that I think is universally suiting. I use it on the apples on my cheeks and it really makes my cheekbones stand out. This would look amazing for a "no-makeup" look too. Sometimes I wear just this, a MLBB lipstick shade, and a thin layer of black eyeliner. If you're looking for a clean, polished, yet SUPERB look, I say get your hands on this.
I can't believe there's 0 reviews on this product! The first time I saw this nail polish was at my local nail salon when I went in for a Pedicure. I found this bottle on the shelf and the color/glitter totally blew my mind. It's so underrated because I've never even heard of this specific color. It's a gorgeous, light silvery blue with tons of sparkle/glitter. Think of Cinderella glass slippers. My nails tend to be dry/brittle & peel so I always opt for full/opaque color coverage. This does just that! It hides all my imperfection while looking so very fab. If you don't like glitter, I wouldn't recommend this! I love glitter, however I'm picky! I don't like dull, cheap glitter that I find in so many other nail lacquers. This color has better quality glitter that doesn't make my fingers look like a 10 year olds. I ordered 2 off of Ebay for about $6 each! Another great thing to note is that the polish dries fairly quick!
Love this classy royal blue color! I will upload a picture (mine is with one nail on each hand being silver/glittery). My boyfriend bought me this today and I fell in love immediately. The pigmentation is great! Such a deep, opaque, rich royal blue that would look great for this upcoming summer season. I would highly recommend grabbing it.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Head Kandy Hair Extensions
Asianbarbiee91 4/27/2012 1:36:00 PM
HeadKandy hair extensions are pretty good quality, the clips stay put and do not tug on the scalp & the hair is nice and silky. However their customer service & return/exchange policy SUCKS. Shipping to the US used to be free but now they charge a hefty amount and plus they will do anything to prevent you from doing a return. Even when the hair is unworn, pH tested (on their behalf), and proven to be in new condition, they will only do an exchange.. yet they're prohibited from shipping aerosols overseas. I won't be returning because of the hassle they're giving me.. There are great companies out there that would better help you choose the right extensions (in terms of color, length), etc without giving you a hard time
Love this hot pink fuchsia lipstick! It's very wearable unlike many of the other fuchsias I've encountered (girl about town, lickable, etc). Fuchsias tend to clash with my fair nc25 skin because of the strong blue undertones. I don't know what it is about Show Orchid, but it's really gorgeous and pictures online really can't justify how amazing it looks in person. All I need to do is find a nice lipliner to wear it with (I've heard that a bright red lipliner goes good with fuchsia lipsticks). It's a nice color I think everyone should own. Bright, vibrant, doesn't make me look older... (a lot of bold lipsticks make me look older than my age).
Just like another reviewer suggested, I blanked out my lips before applying this lipstick. I finished my tube of MAC Myth lipstick so I used NARS honey stick concealer to make my lips more matte/nude. I didn't layer a lot of it, but instead just dabbed it. Then I applied NARS Viva Las Vegas over it. It looks so much better than wearing it alone. Wearing it alone is nice but too sheer for my liking and doesn't tend to last long. But when I apply it over the concealer, it's quite opaque/nice. :)
This foundation was too matte for my liking. It dries to a powdery finish and can cake up on me very easily. For reference, I'm NC25 with normal skin, rarely any skin problems/break outs. Even when I used very little of this, I found it gave me a "mask-like" appearance every time. I tried to make it look a little more natural/dewy with some water or even moisturizer but it wasn't helpful. If you're looking for a thick coverage matte foundation, this may be the right one for you.
I love this lipstick so much, it's a great neon pink coral... hard to describe in words without sounding off. Unlike most other pinks that are blue based, this one is yellow based pink which gives it a coral touch. Looks really bright/vibrant on my NC 25 skin tone and I am waiting for several more in mail. I love the fact that 100% of this goes to charity. My only gripe is this tends to dry out my lips. Make sure to exfoliate and slap some balm on underneath. Truly a winner IMHO
AHH I LOVE this!! I saw a cute sa at Victoria's Secrt wearing this and just had to ask her what it was. It's a really wearable coral that's lovely for the new-coming spring season. Totally brightens up the face. The formula is nice, moisturizing, and very comfortable on the lips. Yay! VS seems to be stepping up their game.
I'm speaking on behalf of my mother & her twin sister. They're turning 46 in just a few days but they still look like they're in their 30s. They exercise frequently and watch what they eat.. so they look pretty darn good. This lipstick is their favorite. It is far from plain but it is also from being garish. This lipstick looks great on them! It is a very sophisticated shade that's far from being a boring pink. They compliment on the formula as it moisturizes their lips and wears on for at least 4 hours. They're an nc25 complexion with some yellow undertones with dark brown hair.
