Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One
ArtisticEyes 12/25/2012 7:07:00 PM
I do find this to be decent. It makes my lashes look better for a day to day basis, but no drama, really. Since it is part of the Volum' Express line, I was expecting... Well, some volume! It does great for lengthening, and it is really dark, but I want volume, and I can't get it with this, no matter what I try. I have used Great Lash, and liked it more.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Brush Collection - Eyes Starter Set
ArtisticEyes 12/25/2012 7:03:00 PM
I am loving these brushes! I was given these on the account that my one brush that I had been using for a little more than 4 years was shedding, and glue was all over the remaining bristles. Deluxe Crease; This fits perfectly into my crease area, perfect for definition. Base Brush; Very fluffy, and lets the shadow cover well. Good for blending, as well! Accent Brush; I use this to highlight the inner corners ("HALAHT THA INNA CORNAS" - Miles Jai), and it works great. I will occasionally use this to apply shadow to the outer v as well. Pixel-Point liner; I like this for my thicker looks. Maybe I just can't seem to master it, but it does not help for the thin line that I usually use daily. However, it could be lack of experience. Still very nice, holds shape enough to give a steady line. Brow Brush; Now, I haven't used this, since my brows don't require much maintenence. I worry about the thickness, it seems a bit large for brows...

Concealers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Liquid Concealer
ArtisticEyes 12/15/2012 9:43:00 PM
I do, in fact, like this concealer. Now, I use this to cover the under-eye area, as it lightens and covers the puffiness. I have this in the color 'Light'. It is very liquidy, but I find that it aids in blending as long as you're doing it correctly. Too much put on at once will be a hot sticky mess (trust me). Start with a thin layer, and build if you really need to. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired, to be honest. I love the doe-foot applicator, but when I put the wand back in, it seeps over the edges, making for a mess. Which I would be fine with, but sometimes I forget to wipe it off, and my makeup bag is covered in concealer. With a good setting powder, this wil.l last me all day. Hooray!!

Cleansers -Noxzema - Original Skin Cream
ArtisticEyes 12/10/2012 10:21:00 PM
This was one of my first cleansers at age 13! And I still love the Noxzema brand. It clears my pores, which means they have room to shrink and look human size. This particular version gets gunky and messy, which set off some OCD issues. Nevertheless, my skin fell into a deep love with the stuff, and when I stopped using it for three years, my skin went to hell. Starting up again in hopes of being able to fall back into love.

Cleansers -Noxzema - Clean Blemish Control Foaming Wash
ArtisticEyes 12/10/2012 10:08:00 PM
FYI; This review is for Clean Moisture Deep Cleansing Cream... It could not be found on the list!! I love Noxzema. It doesn't give my sking the tingling sensation that it says it should, but it still works wonders on my oil slick of a face. This product in particular comes in a blue bottle with a pump, much cleaner than my first Noxzema product, the orginal which comes in the adorable blue tub. And since this is in a pumpable form, the consistency is different. Which does not bother me, I find it better to work with. This can be rinsed off easily, no washcloths needed for me to feel like I've gotten every bit of it off. My face feels fresh and soft after using this, and I just can't get enough of it! It doesn't cause bad reactions with my Alezex cream, unlike many other cleansers I've used. Definitely a keeper. (Not to mention a little goes a long way!)

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Moisture
ArtisticEyes 11/3/2012 6:47:00 PM
I really love this lip balm! The moisture is perfect for my dry lips from the cold. It feels soft on the lips, not waxy. There are complaints of an odd taste, it is there. But it keeps me from licking my lips and cancelling it out, so it's great for me.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Eye Trio in Chocolate Mousse
ArtisticEyes 10/6/2012 7:38:00 PM
I like these shadows for everyday use. The pigmentation isn't the strongest, but I find it good for a teen, or maybe a quick photoshoot. The crease color is beautiful in contrast with the base, it reminds me of a chocolate dessert (making Chocolate Mousse a good name for it!) It's overall a lovely trio.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush - Mellow Wine 833D
ArtisticEyes 10/6/2012 7:29:00 PM
I L.O.V.E. this blush!! I had purchased it at first to use as a stage makeup blush, because in the pan it just looks so bright and pigmented. I had no idea I would end up using it as an everyday blush! My skin is almost paper white, so I used this in hurry to make myself look more alive, and boy it did. The trick for everyday (with pale skin) is to be very careful, and start out with barely any of this on your brush. Then build it up. It's beautiful, and very natural. Will definitely repurchase. This did break on me though, which was very upsetting. Good thing the price is awesome!

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
ArtisticEyes 10/6/2012 7:23:00 PM
So far, in my years of foundation use, this is an absolutely lovely foundation! As a rather oily skinned individual, I found this to be (at this point) my H.G. foundation. The matte finish is better than I expected, and blending is a no-brainer. As for transferring, I haven't experienced it... I love how this feels. And opening a new package is always exciting! I'm on my third, and have been using this product for a few years... It lasts a while if you use it right. Don't scoop it up and slather it on, you get good coverage with a few thin layers using your fingers or a damp sponge. The redness of my acne prone skin is completely covered. The staying power is a little short, but a little powder helps.

Primer/ Corrector -New York Color - Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer
ArtisticEyes 10/6/2012 7:13:00 PM
I have only recently purchased this, but as of right now, I find it to be a pretty good product. It's the first primer I have used, so I'm not biased. I do like the texture, it's goes on the skin smoothly and doesn't dry too quickly. Yes, there is quite a bit of shimmer, but not any worse than some foundations I've used in the past. (Let's not discuss the Almay Pure Blends for that reason...) Overall, this primer does it's job. There probably are better ones out there, even in drugstores, but for the price, it is a good quality.
