Love the color range. Their glitter selection, hexes and glitter mixes, is the best I've seen of any brand. The downside is the smell - it's definitely strong. Thanks Ladies for the tip on using them for the konad stamper.

A beautiful color to wear in summertime, but it also reminds me of a Christmas green. I think you can apply one coat, two will give you perfect color. Midway through my manicure I applied a sheer glitter on top and the color still looked awesome. The staying power of this inexpensive polish was very good, however I have strong nails.
1) My Nails: My nails are strong and I bought this treatment because I wanted to duplicate the look of gel nails. 2) Ingredients: This treatment has formaldehyde in it which is why I down graded it to four stars. 3) How I Use It: I have only used this product about two times, however I've applied one layer as a top coat two days after using Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat. I also applied it on the edges of my nail and the back side. 4) The Results: This gel took my manicure to new levels as this is the tenth day of wear and only one nail has a chip. 5) My Opinion: I would recommend this product because it gave my manicure lasting power. Normally I would have changed my polish by now, but I had a super busy two weeks and I never like to go without polish so this product was a life saver. However, I'm going to watch my nails like a hawk because some Ladies said their nails turned brittle or started peeling when they started using this treatment. I'll update in a few months.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Mega Shine Top Coat
Annie225 9/14/2011 9:02:00 PM
1) My Nails: I have strong nails and I get 3-4 days out of a manicure before it chips, and I only use inexpensive polishes (dollar store finds). 2) Packaging: I'm on my first bottle of top coat and I'm not crazy about the bottle design. The bottle being flat on one side and the silver-like coating that they've applied are not practical. 3) The Consistency: Not thin and not thick. 4) The Application on Dry Polish: One coat was easy to apply and it dries within a minute or so. No shrinking of polish was noticed. 5) Lasting Power: Minor chipping has occurred on some nails on the sixth day. Given this is the sixth day of wear, I'm ready to change my color, but I'm curious to see how much longer I can wear this manicure before it looks shameful. 6) Shine: There might be a little bit of hype here, as I didn't need to wear sunglasses while admiring my nails. ;) 7) Given my first manicure with Mega Shine I would recommend this top coat for it's lasting power. Shine ability is comparable to other top coats, in my opinion. 8) 8th Day Update: Two of my left hand nails have definite chips in the polish. My right hand nails are still looking very good even with the slightest of chips at the tips - nothing to be embarrassed about. 9) Eight days of wear is pretty good, and if they claim you can get ten out it, it may be possible if you apply a second coat a few days into the manicure. Anyway, the box says, "reapply as necessary", so I'll give this method a try next time.
I purchased the Sheer Shimmer set, and I have never seen such a streaky base nail color. I tried to even out the color by applying a second coat and it came out opaque and not sheer....The polish seemed thick out of the bottle and I found it difficult to apply to my nails...The only good thing about this set, if you can get it to work, is the per cost for each bottle and the strips works out to be a bargain. It really deserves 2 1/2 points and I will not buy again.

As previously said, this polish needs just one coat, two if you are looking for beyond perfection. I like black polish but won't wear it that often since it's a nightmare to remove - good thing only one coat is needed for this brand. The brush has much to be desired as it has the look of a worn out frayed toothbrush. I will buy again.
I use the Sundown brand (1000 mcg) which I started more than a year ago. I bought it for my hair, of which I haven't noticed a difference, but it made my nails go from brittle to strong at the end of two months - I believe it thickened up my nail. In the past, my nails would never grow past the tip, and as short as they were, polish used to chip within a day. Now a manicure lasts 3/4 days with an inexpensive polish like Wet 'n Wild. I know this brand works for my body chemistry because I switched to another brand, thinking they were all the same, and within months my nails were back to their typical brittle self. I have never had an acne problem using this brand or the other one - I guess different people react to things differently. Before you write biotin off, if you have experienced problems with it, I would suggest switching to another brand first.

Gorgeous color and I'm of a dark completion in the medium range. Two coats and it's perfect, however you nails will be stained upon removal. Next time I wear it I'll put it on top of another lighter color to prevent staining. I would consider buying this color again.
This stuff is amazing! As mentioned before it's the color and consistency of skim milk and 16 oz can be purchased at Sally's for $5.99. I placed some in an old cleaned out nail polish bottle and applied it around my cuticles. Within a minute I started to push back the cuticle. I've left it on my cuticles for a couple of minutes and it does not appear to cause any damage or pain. So, it's a keeper and since you don't need a lot the bottle will last an extremely long time.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Wraps - Acrylic Gel
Annie225 6/8/2011 9:43:00 AM
I purchased the blue bottle in August of last year and it worked fine for a while - my manicures lasted for about 3/4 days. As time goes by the polish gets thicker making it harder to apply to nails because it becomes gloppy and stringy. This causes a slow drying time and the tendency to develop bubbles. I don't recommend this product unless you go through a bottle of base coat in a couple of months or don't mind throwing out a bottle that is 3/4 full.
I picked this color up at the dollar store and it's beautiful! I have the feeling this color is discontinued. When applying I only need one coat and it dries quickly. A topcoat adds a nice shine. Because of the glitter it's a little hard to remove so you'll have to use 100% acetone.
Top/Base Coats -Sinful - Sinful Colors Professional Basecoat
Annie225 3/6/2011 10:47:00 AM
I've tried some of the Sinful polishes and decided to try their base coat. Anyway, it goes on with a slight pink color and dries quickly. The base coat is good for about three days and then, without fail, my nail polish chips on the fourth day. It shatters! Despite this I would buy the product again and feel that its good for Ladies who change their polish frequently during the week. 8/29/11 Update: My nails are much stronger compared to when I wrote the review and that's due to taking biotin. I find that my manicure does not chip/shatter until the 5th day. Maybe it's the base coat, maybe it isn't. I would consider repurchasing, but what I don't like about the product is that it doesn't prevent yellow nails. When this bottle is empty I will try another brand to see if there is a difference in staying power and prevention of yellow nails.
