wanted to love this, cleanses v well and love the way it feels as a precleanse but it broke me out in cystic acne after about a week, very bad like i haven't had for years, so I've passed it to sis for her to try.

I have the very bubblegum pink one of these and it really does last all day. It's a great colour with lots of payoff, looks exactly the same on lips as in the tube. I'm only taking 1 lippie off because it looks and feels dry rather than mat if you dont use the gloss, and the gloss doesn't last a long time. But I have repurchased, wear almost daily and I love it. :)

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula

I usually wear BE and tried the sample from EDM, I do like the fact that you can get free samples ($5 for P&P). It has good coverage with my BE flawless brush but felt a bit heavy on my skin, I could feel it more than BE, and after half an hour of sitting in front of PC when i checked I looked like my face was an oil slick. Dissapointing as I expected this to bemore mat than BE. I won't be buying the full size product.

Eyes -Bare Escentuals - Weather Everything Liner Sealer

Made my eyes run - and where they ran so did the eyeliner so I ended up with a smear at the outer corners which then washed away so i looked like I had 'half a line' drawn on! Sad as I wanted to like this, but I took it back.

I'm just getting in to wearing lipstick with COLOUR rather than gloss and got this on reccommendation from this board, and I'm really pleased. I'm pale with a bit of red on my cheeks when not fake tanned (BE fairly light) - I'm not tanned at the moment. At first this seemed to be a bit too red but then, about 10 mins after application it had faded to a lovely deep pink stain. I really love it, and like that all the money goes to such a good cause! Can't wait to try it when i'm fake tanned too - will edit as I wear more....

This actually made me vomit! No joke! I got a few samples from Les Scenteurs in the post and tried this first -a tiny dab on wrist...I took a sniff and vomited!!! I couldn't wait to wash it off but it wouldn't come off!!! I scrubbed and scrubbed and after an hour or so I got a waft again and gagged! Itsmells like a dead corpse from a very dirty harbor with some week old 'secretions' on it. The smell of metal also put my teeth on edge YUCK!!!! Bizarrely the staying power was immense - I cant say that for Putain des Palais alas :(

I didnt really like this when I first smelled it, but a few hours later when I came to smell it, it was quite powdery and musky and really lovely. So I bought the small bottle and wore work it to work for a couple of weeks, got my collegues to smell my wrists a couple of times after a few hours (this is how I test perfumes, we're a close office!) and they could smell ether nothing or perhaps a tiny bit of fragrance, so, alas it's not for me, I like stronger more lasting scents.

I love this it probably is my HG scent, or at least my go-to scent. I got this for Christmas when I was 19, when it first came out in the UK and loved it immediately. It is one of the only perfumes I wear that always gets comments (good ones!). I stray from it every so often, but always come back to it and I love discovering it all over again. I love smelling my hair that has 'wafted' over my neck when i wear it, and it gets better with the drydown. I just love it. It does smell different on different people, when my BF wears it it's v different so you just have to try it and see - she's much better in Angel or Coco. I don't see it as an 'old lady' scent, but I'm 35 so maybe it is older than the sweeter celeb generics that my students favor - which smell lovely on them, but I don't want to smell like a teen (or Brittany Spears!!). I'm aslo loving Kiehls Musk mixed with vanilla oils at the mo - getting lovely comments from this too.

Love love love this, the smell is great, keeps my body smooth and moisturised, and it lasts forever! This is my HG showergel - if you can have one of those. I used 3 or 4 pumps on a shower puff daily and it lasts well over 4 months! For £5 that's not bad! Love it, can't reccommend enough. I always stock up on it when Boots have 3 for 2s and have repurchased many times.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes

I really like this mascarra, it makes my lashes full and long, and doesn't run AT ALL - and i have very watery eyes- usually I look like a panda before 10am so staying power is most important to me! I've repurchased this again and again.

Cleansers -MD Forte - Facial Cleanser III

I've been using this for about a month every ther day as a mask, I leave it on clean skin for about 20 minutes and have had no irritation. So far I've had little purging and my skin has started to look clearer and brighter - even my mum noticed! I'm really pleased so far and am about to add retinA to my routine. I'll edit in several moths to see if m skin continues to improve. Although the packaging is not 'pretty' I would rather have good quality in the package than spend money o fancy packaging. Being in the UK I had to order it for the USA - in total it cost about $55/£30(ish) incl. p&P so I don't need it to be any more expensive!
