Powders -Johnson & Johnson - bedtime powder
rated 4 of 5
Aniger86 4/24/2012 1:30:00 AM

Got this powder when the average unperfurmed powder was not available at the pharmacy. I am glad I got it, its a nice lightly perfurmed powder, and I use it all the time. To blot stickyness not only from my face & neck but also on the body as well. In fact, I liked it so much I got another one in the end so I can leave one in the office and one bottle at home. I buy it in the miniture 100g bottle so I can carry it around for touch ups as well. Love it and would definately re-purchase.

Makeup Brushes -The Body Shop - Face/ Body Brush
rated 2 of 5

I have had this bursh for a long time, it probably just slipped my mind to review it. I have to say this brush has the softest bristles I have ever felt on a brush. I used to love it and used it frequently. However, when I went back to it recently, I thought the bristles were too soft to hold and apply powder properly on my face anymore. Also the glue has seperated so the handle of the brush dropped off for some time now(I do not soak my brushes in water, I only wash and air dry them). For now the brush is getting two lippies.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #129 Powder/Blush Brush
rated 5 of 5

I think this is one of the first few brushes I owned, but its been so long I can't remember now. In anycase, I have recently rediscovered it and love it. I use to dust talc lightly on my face after I apply my makeup to blot off any stickyness and keep skin matt. The size of the bristles is just great for the entire face. For blush, I use a smaller brush. The bristles are not too soft so its too hard to pick up powder at the same time they are not too hard so the application is no good. In fact, I love this so much I carry it around with me for touch ups. Purchased at USD46 if I did not remember wrongly.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Renewal Lash Serum
rated 4 of 5
Aniger86 3/22/2012 2:10:00 AM

I have used multiple brands of eyelash serum and would say this is not bad comparing it amongest others. It does make lashes stronger and longer, however, you do have to apply quite a heavy coat of it to see effect. Normally I apply it after I remove my eye makeup at night, leave it on for a while (from 10 mins to a few hours depending) before washing it off in the shower. Not applying it overnight does not diminish the results I get from it. But then again I am a regular user of eyelash growth serums so perhaps new users might want to leave it on overnight for better effect. The only real complain I have about the product is the price. It is not expensive per sae at USD23 but I know of better brands I can get at half the price so it is unlikely I would re-purchase unless there is a sale on the item.

Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Crystal Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 3/22/2012 1:54:00 AM

Received this in sample size from a friend. I think she did not like it because she felt it was too sticky. Having used it, I would say she is right so I would not recommand this to people who hate sticky glosses. I for one though actually do like sticky gloss as I feel they hold on the lips better and stay on longer. So I would say this gloss isn't too bad. You can apply sparingly but it still gives good shine and stays on for a good few hours. What I dislike is it comes in a squeeze tube and I generally prefer glosses with an applicator. I probably won't buy it in full size (there are better clear glosses out there at better prices) but should I get it again as a gift, I would use, not toss it.

Lip Gloss -Essence - Stay With Me
rated 5 of 5
Aniger86 3/22/2012 1:40:00 AM

It is a nice gloss, can be applied thinly for a sheer veil of colour, or layered for stronger effect without feeling or looking heavy on the lips. However, it is not glossy. It provides good colour but not gloss. For that glossy look you need to layer with clear gloss. I got this in 'candy bar', & 'berry me!', and really really liked the former and have repurchased. The packaging is sleek and funky as well, which was what attracted it to me in the first place. Overall, a great gloss for the price of USD3. Somehow though, I can't quite but feel there isn't much product in the tube as it finishes quite quickly. I apply twice or thrice a day, lasts about a month. Other that that, I have no complains. Would re-re repuchase. Recommanded.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Gabrini color shine lip gloss
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 3/22/2012 1:27:00 AM

Got this in shade 3, an almost neon pink glitter in the tube but applies sheerer on the lips. It is a lightweight gloss so if you are looking for more shine a clear top coat would be needed. Overall, its not a bad gloss for USD7. I would re-purchase, probably in a different shade. They have more opaque and rich colours in the same range as well.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Lakira Cristal Light up Gross
rated 4 of 5
Aniger86 3/22/2012 1:16:00 AM

I love the stupula applicator of the gloss. Basically the selling point of this gloss is when you screw open the tube it is suppose to light up (yes there's an actual fluorescent light emitting) so you can apply your gloss even in dark places (maybe a nightclub). There is also a mirror attached to the tube so you can use that whist application. I have it in sparkling rose & clear. The shades offered are clear gloss with a hint of pink/ red etc. so this is not exactly a full on coloured gloss. Just something sheer for your lips. One complain though. This is one of those gloss tubes which actually ooz product out after you close it. Initially I was wondering what was making my makeup case sticky, and it was after some time that I realised it was this gloss! A real turn off because the tube it came in was pretty too. Product made in Japan.

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - Shills Electric Eyes Concealer
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 10/30/2011 1:36:00 AM

Its a pink base undereye concealer that comes only in 1 shade. In adverts, it is claimed they can conceal any skin perfections, with before and after pictures. However, I highly doubt this concealer can be used to cover red inflamed acne and the likes considering its so pink. It would make skin appear even more blotchy. It works average for undereye circles, I would say they need to expand their shades instead of a one size fits all, as I find the shade a little too dark for me. Also, I find when setting this concealer, you require to use more powder than normal, if not it shifts and cause your mascara to transfer to your lower lids, which I can safely say has never happened before to me. I prefer the Bobbi Brown corrector and would not repurchase. Like the cute retro pakaging though, in fact, the pakaging was what first attracted me to the product.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 4 of 5
Aniger86 10/30/2011 1:15:00 AM

This is my first eyeshadow primer, and I'm loving it. It really makes shadow stays without bulging on the lids. If I don't use this product, I can see my eye shadow creasing badly and eye lids looking oily. However, it does not intesify colours on my eyes as so many have reviewed. Alas, I am still happy with the product. In fact, I use it daily now replacing my concealer on my upper lids even when I am not using my shadow ( I use shadow only once a week or every few weeks) to keep them oil free so I don't have to blot my upper lids as well throughout the day. I wish it worked on my lower lids too so it can help my concealer stay put, but I find it doesn't apply as well. In anycase, I am glad enough it works on the upper eye lid and will definately repurchase. Update- So I have a whole entire tube left when the plastic bottle cracked. I don't recall heavy impact with anything. In anycase, I tried fixing it back, and putting it in an airtight transparent bag but the product in it seems to have dried up anyway so I can't use it anymore. Looking for a replacement that actually doesn't dry up so quickly! Even before the bottle cracked, I noticed the liquid inside the bottle was drying up and it was getting harder and harder to get it out of the bottle.

Mascara -Za - Mascara Base
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 10/25/2011 5:48:00 AM

This mascara base is simply called Za mascara base, no fancy names here. Its texture looks similar to Shiseido nourishing base which I am a huge fan of so I decided to try this out. I think it doesn't hold a curl as well as Sheseido's, but once the curl is set by the base, your lashes feel really stiff, there is some strong stuff they are putting in it. Another thing to note is while it does a reasonable enough job of holding a curl (not as good as Shiseido but better than Kate by Kanebo) and lengthening, it is virtually impossible to build volume on your lashes. I tried various vloumizing mascara after applying the base, and the lashes just wouldn't thicken. Not likely to re-purchase but would nevetheless recommand for ladies on a budget that is looking for a decent curl and legthening base. This beats Lancome booster cils hands down, and a couple other bases I can't quite recall now.

Pressed Powders -Za - Groovy smoovy
rated 4 of 5
Aniger86 9/27/2011 2:27:00 AM

I use this oil blotting powder as foundation when I first got it. Of late though, I have been using it as what it is and say I'm liking it. After lunch, I normally touch up by blotting my face with a tissue to absorb oil, and use this when I am going out in the evenings after work. I blot my face with a tissue as per the instructions, and then apply the powder on. It looks pretty nice actually, no caking at all, absorbs oil and makeup looks refreshed, even suited for undereye area without highlighting any fine lines. I have re-purchased recently.

BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Shills - Natural Science SPF30 BB Cream
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 9/27/2011 1:47:00 AM

This is a korean brand I believe, and my first BB cream. I apply it as if it were a foundation, on top of my sunblock, and set lightly with powder. I find it doesn't apply well with sunblock, and is best used on bare skin. Coverage- Provides heavier coverage than tinted moisturizer, acts more like a liquid foundation, without the heaviness of it. How it holds up- My nose was shiny after awhile, doesn't have much holding power for people with oily skin, more suited for persons with dry skins who are after a dewy effect. Packaging- The squeeze tube it comes in resemblems a toothpaste tube so you can imagine how difficult it is to get the right amount of product out. Colour selection- Unfortunately, this comes only in one colour- neutral beige, but it is also the reason why I got this product as most bb creams I have looked at are either too yellow or dark for me, while this neutral beige fits me. Overall, I don't think I would re-purchase. In anycase, I barely use it so I imagine its going to last me a long time to come.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Silky Girl Juicy Fruity Brush-on Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 9/26/2011 5:11:00 AM

I have this in a fuschia pink colour, its not a bad gloss, pretty pigmented with no shimmer. Its just a pity it suffers from poor pacakging. It comes with one of those squeeze tube with the brush at the end so its hard to control how much you are sqeezing out. Mostly, you are over squeezing so you have excess product wasted. That aside, I did like the gloss and was looking to re-purcahse not only in the same colour but in the clear shade as well but believe they have been discontinued as I have not seen them around for some while now.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Silky Girl Moisture Gloss
rated 3 of 5
Aniger86 9/26/2011 5:02:00 AM

I got this in shade 11, strawberry ice. Its a fuschia coloured gloss with shimmer in it. The texture of the gloss is pretty light but pigmented so I need apply only a thin layer. After which I apply over it clear gloss for higher shine. It is a nice gloss for its price, and doesn't dry out the lips, or disappear/ fade after awhile like some glosses do. I am glad I got it and would definately re-prchase. I was actually going to get it in another color but missed the boat on the promotion that was going on. Update- I am going to take 2 lippies off to make it 3. The gloss does fade afterall after awhile, and while I have had the gloss for less than a week, the plastic wrapping enclosing the tube displaying product name is already coming off!
