Lip Gloss -MAC - Pinkarat
Angie7 1/27/2009 1:01:00 AM
Overall, great lip gloss. It is very sheer, so I think for alot of people they will put a lipstick on underneath this. If your lips are not completely one smooth color then I would not recommend this gloss to be worn alone unless you are going for a very natural look. Either way it is pretty for my use. I am not too picky about smoothing out the color of the lips and often will just thrown on a lip balm and focus alot of my attention on eye makeup and blush, so for me it is perfect.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Viva Glam V Lipglass
Angie7 1/27/2009 12:55:00 AM
The lip gloss goes on smooth and is not sticky. Though it comes with a doe foot applicator, I prefer the brush much more. That is the only drawback. The color is gorgeous, very natural looking. Not sheer but it seems to unify the natural color of your own lips so it looks smooth and perfect. Lasts a few hours, will definately come off if you eat and requires reapplication. Does not dry lips at all. Overall, happy with this purchase.

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Natural Reflection Finishing Powder
Angie7 1/13/2009 12:45:00 AM
The packaging is horrendous on this product and it is a hassle to get some of the product onto the lid so I can dip my brush in it. Saying that, the product itself is excellent, it provides an all day lasting effect on my skin. I feel that my skin has a dewy glowing look to it and apparently this powder does provide some sort of SPF, though I also use an SPF cream anyway. Overall, extremely happy with this product, and it will help me to avoid all the chemicals in my Clinique powder that I used to wear :) By the way, please be careful not to breathe in the product if it happens to swirl everywhere on your face. Just hold your breath for those few seconds, I can't imagine it can be good for us to breathe this stuff in.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Long handled Kabuki
Angie7 1/13/2009 12:35:00 AM
At the risk of disagreeing with all the rave reviews on this product, I must say that I do not like this brush very much. It is shedding quite a bit, though I just have used it a few times so it might just be "settling" in. It is soft, but in this sticky synthetic sort of way. I can not really describe. It does not pick up alot of pigment, and if you are using it on your face for powders, it will take forever to do your makeup because the brush diameter is TINY. I personally thought that $10 was too much for this brush, if you are buying it in the kit then it is a decent price for the quality. Saying that, the bamboo handle is very cute and the look of the brush is very cute. I think I will use this for traveling and leave my MAC 182 and 183 at home so I don't damage them. Even as a mineral makeup starter brush, I am sure that you can find a larger brush that will make up application easier for a reasonable price.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 182 Buffer Brush
Angie7 1/13/2009 12:26:00 AM
Extremely soft, easy to work with, and gives an excellent finish. Took off one lippie because the brush is still shedding slightly. It has been a week since I purchased it and it is dropping about one or two hairs a day now. When I first washed it about 20 hairs came out!!! So hopefully the shedding will stop soon. The brush feels ultra luxurious against my skin when I use it. It is a pleasure to use, literally. I now prefer it over the MAC 183 because I enjoy using it so much, even though the MAC 183 actually performs better and gives a better finish in a shorter time. Anyway, both these kabukis take 2-3 days to dry completely in the winter. By the way, some people have been comparing this brush to the Everyday minerals kabuki brushes, though I must say the EDM kabukis are definately not in the same league..... I don't think they are even worth the $10 at all.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
Angie7 1/13/2009 12:20:00 AM
The brush is handmade and I believe white goat's hair. It picks up alot of product if need be with minimal fallout. This brush is great for blending. I have tried other brushes without the same results. Definately a must have for eyeshadow brushes and my favorite along side the mini-shader brush by MAC.

Polishes -OPI - Yoga-Ta Get This Blue!
Angie7 1/12/2009 11:50:00 PM
Very nice product, the blue is extremely vibrant for a vamp look that is slightly different from the dark reds. Recieved many compliments from women. Not a sexy color, as most men do not appreciate the blue on finger nails, if that is what one is looking for. Polish was perfect in it's application, not streaky at all. You could get away with one coat though two is better. Polish lasted about six days with a top coat with no chipping and only slight fading at the very tips of nails. Great brush, not the prowide. I would not wear this polish regularly, but for something fun every now and then it is good. I think for teenage girls, they can wear it more regularly and have fun with it.

Polishes -OPI - You Don't Know Jacques!
Angie7 1/12/2009 11:34:00 PM
The color is great for fall and winter and can be worn around the office. I didn't realize it was so high fashion until reading all the posts from other reviewers. I chose this to wear to work and it is perfect for that. Normally, I wear alot of vamp colors during the winter, so I wanted something toned down without having to go for the traditional nude or french manicure. Definately is serving it's purpose, but at the same time it is slightly boring, which is I suppose what I wanted it to be. But definately a pretty dark taupe or brown grey. The finish is starting to lose it's shininess after 2 days, but I didn't finish with a top coat. And the application goes on streaky so needs at least 2 coats of color. The prowide brush is a bit too wide for my petite nails, though if you are good at applying nail polish, then the application goes on quicker. Saying that, for most people it will be too wide and the polish will go on sloppily.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Flannel PJ's
Angie7 1/12/2009 1:03:00 PM
Nice shade for the fall/winter. Especially with dark nails and muted earth colors for clothes. Very dark blush, use sparingly, I have medium fair skin and barely touch my cheeks and they end up blushed.... Has a little bit of sheen, mauve with hints of purple.... But very interesting.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Apple
Angie7 1/12/2009 12:59:00 PM
Everyone is raving about Apple blush though I actually liked the shimmery Theme Park blush better. Apple is easy to apply, the color is cute, and it is a basic blush matte color. It lasted for a full nine hours at work without sliding off or needing reapplication, Did not turn orange or have any other types of problems. Overall, a good blush. I will not rave about it because I definately did not fall in love with it, though it does do the job and is minus all those additional chemicals. My skin tone is medium fair and the color was nice on me.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Theme Park
Angie7 1/12/2009 12:54:00 PM
Out of all the blushes I ordered, this one turned out the best. Normally, I stay away from shimmer blush, but this has my exact color when I exercise and the shimmer is not obvious in a tacky sort of way. More of a dewy finish. Also, can be used as a highlighter. I am medium fair skin tone if that helps. Word of caution, from my impression and from what other people are writing, it seems EDM blushes are not always the same color consistency, but will have to live with all the faults.... I just don't want a whole bunch of chemicals on my face. Otherwise, it is Trucco all the way, and when I am going out on the town it is still Trucco I reach for:)

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Daydream
Angie7 1/12/2009 12:47:00 PM
My skin tone is medium fair. I am not impressed with this blush at all. It is more in the brown family then pink/mauve and seems more like a bronzer than anything else on my skin tone. It is perfect for those "no makeup" days, though since my skin has improved alot lately, for no makeup days it is really easier to wear no makeup. Overall, not impressed and not the best bronzer either. So if you are medium fair maybe try something else.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Bouquet
Angie7 1/12/2009 12:32:00 PM
This blush barely shows up on my skin tone and it looks muddy instead of pink on me. It seems like the very fair people have reviewed it well, but even for fair medium like myself I think it may be too light and ashy looking. Also, are the EDM blushes consistent in their color? Some people with darker skin have reviewed it quite well and then others are claiming it is ashy. Not sure....

Polishes -OPI - Black Cherry Chutney
Angie7 1/8/2009 10:01:00 AM
The color is very nice, I have already been complimented on the polish. It is a deep red black though there are many comparable colors. The problem was the polish was a little sticky, streaked for the first coat, and pulled. Also, I thought it was dry but still did not do much with my hands for a few hours. But I went to sleep and I woke up I found the polish had imprinted with lines/smudged. Tried another coat, same thing. Also, not very shiny. I would not buy again.

Palettes -Coastal Scents - 88 eyeshadow palette
Angie7 1/8/2009 8:28:00 AM
The 88 Coastal Scents Palette (matte) is well worth the money. I was definately impressed with the quality. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, a little goes a long way, and they last for the entire night (8-10 hours no smudging, flaking, or fading) and still look great when I am wiping everything off. I am extremely pleased. The blendability is not as good as MAC so it takes more time to apply the eyeshadow. Also, these eyeshadows require a primer ( I use MAC prep and prime) or the colors do not look as vibrant. The fall out is minimal, which is VERY important to me. There is a great selection of colors which is excellent as a staple to use just in case you want to do a look you normally do not wear. Also, it is perfect for experimentation or as a "starter" kit. Once you know what colors you really enjoy then you can purchase similar ones from MAC, which is what I do :) It saves having to spend copious amounts of money on colors you are not even sure you like. Packaging is OK, I like the mirror and the standard black is clean and professional looking.
