Powder -Stila - Illuminating Powder Foundation

I love this product,it took very little work and gave good results:) Took it for a holiday tour and even though I'm a dreadful traveller and look like zombie since I can never sleep in new places, this really saved me. Every morning, all I had to do was apply a layer with the sponge and my skin looked fresh, natural and glowy. The tour guide (bless her very kind but probably lying soul) thought I did skincare ads, hahahaha (now thats a big joke!) The sad part is, I couldn't find my great skin-combo of Stila compact foundation and L'Oreal gel blush and don't know if it was left behind in the hotel or stolen. Grr....my cute compact was brand new as well!

Blush -L'Oreal - Translucide Gel Blush [DISCONTINUED]

I went to HongKong during winter and wore this...to my delight, everyone on the tour thought my rosy flushed cheeks were natural and that I was some native of a cold country...I had to assure them that I normally baked in 28C sunny Malaysia:) The downside was, it was so wondrous that it got stolen , and now I cannot buy a replacement..(wail)

Moisturizers -Ella Bache - Hydra' Booster
rated 4 of 5

This is one of the products I liked from Ella Bache. Supposedly for "re-plumping"- I wouldn't say it made my skin all juicy and er.."plump". But I really liked the wonderful light gel like texture and the sky blue colour. It smelt watery and clean- rather Aqua de Gio- ish! And the texture reminded me of Biotherm's gel moisturiser for normal skin (sorry can't remember what its called at this very moment but I did like it too)..very comfortable on hot sticky days. No breakouts and did enough to hydrate my dry skin. Yes, would recommend.

Moisturizers -Caudalie - vinosource anti-wrinkle nourishing cream for dry skin

Oh my! How much do I love this product..let me count the ways!!...billions of kisses go to it- let me tell ya:)

Its smells absolutely scrummy, clean yet lux and slightly grapey. The texture is light and sinks into the skin leaving a velvety soft texture. My skin is sensitive and dry yet I do get some acne around my nose. Some creams break me out or are just not emollient enough but this is a sure-fire *kiss kiss kiss* moisturiser that guarantees picture perfect skin the next day and the next.

This is the latest love of my boring life. Highly super recommended!!

Lotions/ Creams -Victoria's Secret - Breathless Body Lotion
rated 1 of 5
Angeline 1/13/2007 11:54:00 AM

Boo hoo..I've read the glowing reviews for Breathless but never got the chance to purchase the actual fragrance so unfortunately I cannot add my own happy comments to the long list.

HOWEVER, I did get the lotion and it was horrendous on my skin. eyuks. Sadly, I didn't get the powdery note most mentioned. I did get a whole lorry load of soap. It smells just like Malaysia's best selling liquid detergent, "Dynamo"!

Very unpleasant on me, I let myself suffer with the lotion on my arms for 3 whole hours hoping and hoping that it would dry down to a soft florally powdery fresh clean scent. (Well, I suppose I smelt super duper clean..like a whole truckful of clean) Just couldn't stand it any more after that and took a good bath as it was really putting me off my food.

Treatments (Eye) -Bobbi Brown - Hydrating Eye Cream
rated 4 of 5
Angeline 1/13/2007 10:18:00 AM

This eye cream is a winner in my book though I'm not too crazy about the pot. my sister stuck her finger into my cream when we went on NY's holiday and I ended up with an infection ...now I dunno if it was the resort, or my mascara or her finger... (however I still wish it came in a tube for better hygiene)

when I was still religiously using it (I'm now using something else that comes in a tube), I liked it enough to reccomend it to my sister who is a big eyecream junkie. It doesn't sting, does not have a disturbing fragrance, applies easily and was emolient enough for my dry under eyes. It really helps concealer glide on and isn't too light like some eyecreams which are like water.

Treatments (Eye) -Perricone - Alpha Lipoc Acid Eye Area Therapy with NTP Complex
rated 1 of 5

Ow, ow, ow...stung my eyes and normally I don't have problems with eye creams stinging so I was doubtful that this was causing me so much pain. But after trying (crying) through a few days of tears, have decided- nope, not for me.

I liked this well enough. It has a citrusy scent and the texture is rather light and absorbs easily. Not sure if I would not repurchase (maybe in a pinch)but but for this price I really cannot complain!

Shampoo -Phyto - PHYTOLACTUM Gentle Shampoo with Almond Milk extract
rated 5 of 5
Angeline 11/20/2006 7:18:00 PM

This product is for frequent use- hair which tends to be dry. MY choice is the small 50ml aluminium tube so is brilliant to take on trips. When I first read that it was enriched with almond milk extract- I was like, "holy moly" cos I cannot stand the scent of almond tea (which I think is a mixture of ground almonds and milk- not a good cook so don't kill me if I'm wrong). Its popularly drunk here and to me- reaks of cockroaches. In the tube- yes, it does smell of almonds BUT to my delight once its been massaged and washed off the hair- the fragrance is absolutely GLORIOUS. Imagine soft scented clouds of milky warm vanilla-ish scent wafting from my hair. I want to eat tufts of it! Yes, will definitely keep buying which is often since it keeps getting used up by everyone else in my house.

Treatments -Phyto - Huile De Ales
rated 1 of 5
Angeline 11/20/2006 7:03:00 PM

Loved the concept although its extra work breaking the vials and pouring into the little spray bottle (which I like), but its interesting,no? And I LOVE PHYTO! However, this didn't work for me. Bah. My fine, long hair needs a lot of conditioning before it looks presentable and I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately after using this treatment, my hair stuck together in lacklustre bunches and was impossible to comb.End Result? No revitalizing, conditioning and restoration of shine....next....

Moisturizers -Vichy - Thermal S1 Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
Angeline 11/20/2006 6:55:00 PM

I use this at night and noticed the rather strong powdery/soapy scent. It doesn't bother me and I've learnt to like it. Luckily too- cos it lingers for many hours. No complaints about this product- my dry skin gets sufficiently moisturised . No dry spots or break outs.May possibly repurchase.

Moisturizers -DHC - DHC Moisturizer
rated 3 of 5
Angeline 11/20/2006 6:48:00 PM

You need to shake it up prior to use or you'll just get the water bit minus the oil- thus no hydration. Its so light that it may as well be toner -didn't moisturise my dry skin enough.Since I already can't be bothered with toner..I don't have time for the application with cotton balls then only topping up with moisturiser- this product didn't really win me over.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cranberry eye shadow
rated 4 of 5
Angeline 11/8/2006 6:39:00 AM

I bought this eons ago and only kept it because I was obsessed with cranberry anything (which I'm not anymore).Never got around to using it because I used only very safe colours and mostly mattes.Nowadays I only use shimmery e/s and love only the MAC frosts. So everything I'd have chucked out, I like now. What a complete change! The texture of Cranberry is soft and smooth- fab.Its not scary shimmery/glittery which is a good thing cos the colour is rather daunting.

Last night I wanted something to match a pink/red tube dress and was really pleased with the smoky eye I accidentally created with Satin Taupe on the lids and Cranberry in the centre smoothed out and lined with navy Chanel liquid liner. My tiny Asian eyes looked large and rather inviting if I may say so myself (blush..blink)..was very pleased! The look lasted 7 hours and was still fresh when i got home. Not too sure if I'd hit a home run with another mix of colours & Cranberry but will keep trying and update.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Satin Taupe
rated 5 of 5
Angeline 11/8/2006 6:12:00 AM

Absolutely lovely! I always thought I was a warm but my coloring seems to be changing as I become older and saggier.urgh.Nowadays I'm using cooler colors as my complexion seems to perk up somewhat when I reach for silver, pinks and purples so taupe is just right. The texture is soft and evens out sooo easily. I couldn't use Stila's Barefoot Contessa cos it looked muddy on me but Satin Taupe is beautiful. I love love love this. Looks good as a crease or lid colour on my small Asian eyes.
