Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Avocado Oil

Like many others, I too have been buying the most expensive facial anti aging products (we're talking over $100 an ounce) and nothing has worked like Avocado Oil. I have been TAKING Avocado Oil in capsules for many months now and last night I looked at those huge horse pills (great big softgels) and thought "why don't I cut one open and try it on my face?" My face has never felt or looked better. My skin is baby soft and glows. This moisturizes better than anything else I've ever tried. I purchased some more of the softgels from Swanson Health Products and ended up getting a 'buy one, get one free' deal. A bottle of 60 softgels costs $6.99 and I got TWO for that price. What a savings over the $100+ stuff I've been using. Their Avocado Oil pills are Certified Organic Virgin Avocado Oil softgels. The green oil stuff. I decided to continue to use this on my face daily. I used it last night, this morning, and again tonight and my skin has never felt or looked better. I recently began using Retin A on my face and had some patchy flaky skin under my mouth. That is completely resolved now. Overnight, because of the Avocado Oil. I had been using a primer under my makeup after applying my Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF-30 (I use the sunscreen because I am using Retin A) but this morning I didn't even need the primer at all! I put the Aveeno sunscreen on and my skin felt smooth and non greasy and I didn't need the primer. (I detest and do not use any foundations.) Avocado Oil is the way to go.

I love this stuff! I use it on my hands after washing. I make sure I wash and then use this stuff each night right before bed and my hands (which sometimes crack due to cold or over washing) are as soft as a baby's skin.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Super Stay 14 Hr

I have this in "Timeless Crimson" but I don't use it for lipstick. I use it for blush. It's an absolutely PERFECT color and looks 100% natural. After applying, I dust a bit of Sally Hansen - Skin Equalizing Powder Makeup on top of it and it looks like a "natural glow" that stays all day. I absolutely LOVE this for blush. For lipstick no it doesn't have the staying power it claims to have. I use Maybelline's Superstay for lipstick.

Fragrances -Marilyn Miglin - Pheromone

I didn't know if I would like this, as I normally prefer very "clean" or single-flower scents. I don't like Opium-type spicy perfumes. However, when I got this earlier today, I did NOT sniff it straight from the bottle. After reading dozens and dozens of reviews on it, I knew that it had to "warm up" to my body chemistry before I would know what it really did for me. I lifted my hair and sprayed a little on the back of my neck. A few hours later, I can tell you that I absolutely LOVE this! It smells great and has a bit of a "clean" tone to it. I intend to stick with this one. :-)

Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz

I first heard about this in my Women's World magazine when they recommended using it to "fill in" wrinkles. It does NOT work for that for me. What it does work for is to cover up the red square spots I get (for two weeks or more) after using the Palo Via laser. Does a pretty bang-up job as a concealer. Never used it as an eyeliner and it doesn't "fill in" wrinkles.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Space Cowboy (Stardust)
rated 5 of 5

I suspect the people who don't like this product haven't heard of this method of use. What I do is apply my medium brown eyeshadow in my eye crease and then place the Space Cowboy stardust ON TOP of it and then swipe it one time with my finger. This makes all the sparkle come out in full force and subdues the "eyeshadow" look. It also tones down the eyeshadow in the crease. Been doing this for more than a year and I LOVE it.

Fragrances -CB I Hate Perfume - At the Beach 1966
rated 5 of 5

I was born in 1966. I absolutely LOVE the scent of today's Coppertone. This perfume does not smell like that, HOWEVER, every time I smell it, it immediately transports me back to a lovely summer day when I was a young child in the early 1970s and I was learning macrame at the school with a bunch of other people. (Someone must have been wearing the "older" Coppertone that day.) That particular era of my life was one of the happiest I can remember and this scent brings back those happy feelings. I'll never tire of this scent.

Powder -Sally Hansen - Skin Equalizing Powder Makeup

I LOVE this powder. I have tried foundation, BB Creme, colored moisturizer, and mineral makeup and I just can't stand any of it. It all looks too "makeupy". When I moisturize and then put on my blush followed by a light dusting of this powder my skin looks PERFECT. Perfectly colored (I use the "no color" powder), dewy (don't we ALL want a dewy complexion?) and not "powderey". I love this stuff.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Superstay lipcolor
rated 5 of 5
AngelaE8654 3/3/2011 1:19:00 PM

I have to have long lasting lip color because there's just something about my lips; lipsticks just DON'T stay. At all. I have tried many other long lasting lip colors and the best one I had found up to now is CG Outlast but I hate the way it goes on. If I don't get it perfect in the first 5 seconds, forget it. I tried Superstay 24 hour lipcolor today in the "Berry Persistent and this was the BEST I've ever tried for ease of applying. Kind of like a gloss wand. The color is absolutely perfect; I had been using the Brazen Raisin in the CG and this is more of a bold color but it's not too pink, which is perfect for me. I don't know how long this will last so I'll have to come back later and update but so far, I love this stuff.
