Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes

Best Mascara EVER!!! I love a mascara that you can put on with no primer, no curling, no nothing and you get a beautiful, full, open-eyes look with a decent amount of volume. It doesn't clump, dries quickly, and I have no trouble with flaking. When you DO use a primer and curler...WOW amazing. Certainly gives DiorShow a run for it's money and is cheaper. I have too many mascaras to count but I have found my HG here.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

I bought this the other day. I'm always on the lookout for great mascara. On it's own, it did nothing except clump. Even with a curler and minimal lash primer I was still disappointed. I've worked at two department store counters and have been doing makeovers for years, so i'm not inexperienced with mascara application. You slowly build up in your coats, and experiment with and without "helpers". I much prefer the Tarte, Lights Camera Lashes.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

Love at first swipe. I don't generally like mascaras when they are new as they tend to clump. I agree with a couple other reviewers about the fat tube. Feels awkward. If you can get past that and fat "brush" (a little harder to get small lashes) it is really a good mascara. I used without any other makeup, primer or curling and was very pleased. It wasn't too 'wet" and didn't clump. Opened my eyes up nicely. Later when I used with a primer and curler I was even more impressed. I pushed it to see what would happen. Took several coats before it started to get clumpy but the effect was still really great. Long, and thick and fringe-y. Will repurchase.

Foundations -Maybelline - New Instant Age Rewind
rated 5 of 5

I wasn't sure about this but I tried it anyway. I picked this up in Neutralizer as my circles can look a little too blue-y. It took several turns to get the product to the sponge the first time. I have to say I love the sponge as you can put it right where you want it. A few swipes back and forth (if you don't put too much product on the sponge) and tap it in gently with ring finger. My skin is in the light range so the color worked well for me. Under eye looked smooth and lighter. Make sure you let your undereye cream sink in so skin isn't dry. I will repurchase

Fragrances -Chanel - No 5 Eau Premiere

yes....$125 is steep but you get 5 ounces...having said that. I am a chanel junkie and have always loved number 5..especially the parfum but i've found its just not wearable for everyday for me. When this came out I was very excited. It is truly the scent of number 5 but softer, younger and more wearable for everyday. The harshness of the aldahydes isn't there and it makes a huge difference. I've found that when I layer it with chanel 5 body lotion or body cream...it's a wonderful soft scent that lasts all day and don't smell "old lady". I've gotten tons of compliments on this and will continue to purchase as long as its around. Thank you Chanel!

Powder -Lancome - Ageless Minerale Skin-Transforming Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 21
rated 5 of 5

Oh my god...I love it. I'm a makeup junkie and have boxes and bags of makeup all over my house. I've tried bare minerals and different types before but all of them settle, look cakey or too dry. I tried this yesterday at the counter and fell in love. I bought the set that comes with two foundations, setting powder and brush. I recieved comments like your skin looks soft...fresh...like a porcelin doll. Hours later..i could tell the minerals had melted into my skin a bit like the lady said it would..but it was still not cakey, streaky, flakey, or settled into fine lines. It's not flat and give a soft luminous look..mostly the setting powder..but doesn't appear overly shiny at all. I absolutely love it. OH and it coveres the red spots that I've developed over the last couple of months..i was amazed how clean my face looked. Run don't walk..and try this one!!

Fragrances -Calvin Klein - IN2U

Generally not a fan of CK scents. I'm more of a Chanel and Armani girl and maybe Donna Karan. My staples are Allure, Coco and Cashmere Mist. I smelled this in a magazine and went down to the Macy's counter to check it out. I work at another store in the mall so I ran down on a break and hit a couple of other stores on my way back to work. Within 5 minutes, I had 3 people comment on how good I smelled and they asked what it was. I've never had a response like this to a scent ever. I did the same for the next couple of days and on the 4th day, actually purchased it. My husband said he likes it better than anything else I own. I couldn't believe it. BTW...I'm going on 35 and I don't think it smells to "girly". Not fond of the bottle but will repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Pink fluo lip shine
rated 5 of 5
Angela4508 4/21/2007 12:33:00 PM

The color scared me at first, until I put it on. I'm a PPP with brown hair and blue eyes. I like it alone, over pencil and over lipsticks. My fave right now is over the Rouge Allure in Silhouette. Gives sort of a pink/cherry pop to the creamy color. I've had my girfriends of varying skin tones try this gloss and it is beautiful. Tends to take a little different hue on everybody. Should really try it out.

Treatments (Eye) -Estee Lauder - Idealist Refinishing Eye Serum
rated 5 of 5
Angela4508 7/22/2005 7:11:00 PM

Welcome Idealist Eye Serum!!! I'm not much of an eye cream person but I love this stuff. It's light drys in seconds and you can use it all over your eye. What's the difference from this and other eye creams? This is a killer eye shadow base! Try it at home. On the back of your hand take Idealist eye and rub it in on a section of your hand. Take ANY eyeshadow rub it on the non treated part and then on the Idealist. Right in front of your eyes, your shadow becomes more vibrant and you don't have to use as much. I was rubbing and rubbing my eyeshadow on the untreated side where on the Idealist side, it took 2 swipes. Here's the trick on your eyes. Don't put concealer or foundation on your eyelids. If you do, dab Idealist over it. Today I put foundation everywhere, except my eyelids. Dabbed on the Idealist Eye Serum, let it dry and went to work. 9 count em, 9 hours later...my eye shadow is still on, still true to it's color and is not creasing. Idealist also over time brightens the eye area and smooths out the undereye skin. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 5 of 5
Angela4508 7/22/2005 7:06:00 PM

I have been searching for a makeup that can stand up to my oily skin and humidity. I sweat very easily, humidity or not, and this stuff stays put. For some people a light moisturizer or something like idealist would be wonderful underneath. You have to put this on in sections and blend well. You can use fingers, sponge or a foundation brush. Blend well, let sit for a minute or two before you put on anything else including powder. It has to "bond" with your skin. I truly feel if you feel like this is a mask, you aren't putting it on correctly. I personally take a powder brush and sweep it over my double matte pressed powder and I am flawless. This stuff covers everything. Even undereye circles. I got a sample in Fresco, perfect color match, and wore it one day to work where I worked up a decent sweat. A couple of hours later I blotted, swept on some powder, lipstick and I was good to go for a few more hours. I was very pleased. My only complaint? I wish it would be in a pump. A little hard to get out sometimes.

Lipstick -Clinique - Moisture Sheer Lipstick - Honey Red
rated 4 of 5
Angela4508 8/1/2004 6:42:00 PM

I like this color. I'm not big on reds because I think they are too harsh for me. I'm a PPP with brown hair and blue eyes. This color is sheer and it's a perfect shade of red. Almost hard to describe. Not too light, not too dark, not too bright, not too orangy or bluey like some reds can be.

I love this. It is hard to find sometimes. I'm a PPP with brown hair and blue eyes. Don't let the color in the tube fool you. It goes on much more sheer and lighter. I've given this to many friends of differen skin colors to try and it looks great on all of them. A definite staple .
