This perfume has definitely been reformulated, it's so toned down from what I remember as a kid. My mother had the original and I recollect Arpege had more of a bite in the opening notes than it does now, sort of like Chantilly perfume. Lanvin Arpege and My Sin were one of the first high end brand perfumes I experienced as a kid, my mom had these little bottles around and I would play with them all the time and wear Arpege to bed! lol ... That's how I recognize the change in it, the new one is similar but a lot softer and much more wearable as another reviewer had mentioned. Brings back memories :))
This is a wild fragrance and I love it... mysterious and luscious ...power scent...I love it!
Got the roller ball of this frag. At first it doesn't smell like much until a few minutes later then it gets fresh with a musky undertone.. I love it, but unfortunately it doesn't last long on. I'll have to upgrade to the spray and see how that turns out..to be continued...
Got the roller ball...I'm not too crazy about the initial tuberose bite in the beginning of Fracas, but I love it hours later when it becomes subtle and musky with hint of flowers...love it! Fracas is not old lady, it's sexy lady!! Edit:: Actually, I love this from beginning to end.
Chantilly Lace had a perty face....I recently bought a small vintage perfume on ebay made by Houbigant not Dana. This scent reminds me of my childhood and is actually the first perfume that I ever experienced before I became a Collecter. I remember wearing it all the time. The Perfume is very subtle powdery sweet and perfect for anywhere anytime.
Fragrances -Revlon - Jean Nate After Bath Splash original scent

My lippie rating is for the original Jean Nate scent, does anyone know where I can find a bottle?? from yrs ago unopened with the original scent of the 70's..;)) I tried the one in walgreens and it's not the same scent. I compared it with my bottle I bought like ten yrs ago, still marvelous btw. The new one smells like cheap citrus lemon stale...blehh! Very disappointed.
Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - angel liqueur de parfum

This version has more of a honey dry down and is softer than the original Angel that has more patchouli. These two parfums make me wish it was winter all the time. All in all, I love both.
.....I love this!!
Fidji smells reminiscent of L'air du temps edp. Yes it does!, it's the green notes in Fidji that make it a little different from Ldt but they both smell very similar to my nose. I'm using the roll on perfume oil of Fedji, It's pretty and I'm sure it will travel well, but I love my L'air du temps much more as far as white florals are concerned.
Innocent starts out beautifully on me then unfortunately, I recognize the scent of "Aqua Net" hair spray!! ehh...so sad I know. After the hair spray notes pass, I can barely smell anything. So yes, I guess Innocent is a good name for this one, Lively and unpredictable at first then fizzes out leaving no impression. I much prefer the spice and entice of it's not so innocent sister fragrance that can only be, Angel.
Spray and walk through, this is an Elixir ladies!! I like this very much in minute amounts. Again, one spray and walk through on a winter day is perfect if you like woody goodness in a fragrance this is it. However, I would not buy this again as my bottle will last a life time because so little is needed to get the full effect. If this gives you a headache, and it will, you are spraying too much.
I was on vacation with a girl that wore this and all I can say is this stuff reeks!! It's harsh, either she wore too much or its just very strong or both. It smelled the same on as it did out of the bottle. The same harsh top note and no depth, not appealing imo.
I have some samples of QFR and I think its a very lovely perfume in minute amounts. What I don't like about is that it has a slight hair spray scent(aqua net) in the top notes, but it fades quickly. The dry down is where the beauty unfolds, smells great lingering all afternoon, sweet, floral, musky and woody. Very similar to Champs Elysess imo. The top notes are: Blackcurrant Sicilian bergemot Grapefruit middles notes: Egyptian Jasmin Moroccan rose Indian tuberose White acacia honey Base notes: Amber Indian Sandalwood Orris from Florence white musk
when I first tested this I was disappointed. It smelled very musty and heavy. I usually give the classic fragrances a chance so I bought a small bottle. Well, I guess the tester bottle was old because after trying some at home I really like Rive Gauche, Its classy, clean and subtle with great lasting power. I have never smelled the original but I do remember smelling this fragrance on many a classy older women through out my life, so it must be very close to the original, I just never knew what it was. It was Rive Gauche
This is a strange perfume. It's never the same when I wear it, yet it's somewhat understated, elegant and long lasting. Very nice,
