Liquid -Clinique - Stay True [DISCONTINUED]
Andriya 12/7/2005 7:28:00 AM
I went to the SA and asked for a good coverage oil free foundation with a good colour match for my skin. She showed me every single foundation they had (Lancaster, Clinique, Shiseido, Sisley, Clarins, etc) and we both agreed that the best colour match was no 27 Stay Nude in Clinique's Stay True. She gave me a generous sample and I am test driving it today. I put it on this morning at 7AM and it's now nearly 2PM and the colour has not changed at all - it is a really good colour match for my skin and does not look orangey at all! I have this problem with orange looking foundations. I am currently on Roaccutane and have a lot of redness and dryness and this does not accentuate my dry patches at all. It looks very natural and provides very good coverage. It is not maximum coverage but it is buildable and does not look cakey or fake. Tonight I will try it out using La Prairie's Cellular Treatment Rose Illusion Line Filler as a base to even out my skin tone and make my scars less visible - I only use the LP on days when I need my skin to look good cause it is so expensive! So far I am loving the Stay True - gives my skin a nice dewy finish! (I applied it using my fingers and by patting it into my skin - tonight I will use a foundation brush) UPDATE: I've used this with LP's Rose Illusion Line Filler and they work great together. This foundation really does NOT accentuate any dry patches. It has excellent staying power but it is not difficult to remove at the end of the day! And the coverage and finish is great! Finally, my HG!!!

Primer/ Corrector -La Prairie - Rose Illusion - Line Filler/Primer
Andriya 12/3/2005 11:13:00 AM
I must say this is lovely. I am not saying that it completely 'removes' my acne scars but it really does even out my complexion nicely and make scars less visible (obviously it does not make them disappear)!! The wonderful thing is that it is oil free and I have used it twice and it hasn't broken me out (yet). You need a very small amount of product and a little goes a long way so even though it is expensive it should last. It feels lovely to apply to the skin and makes foundation application much easier - the foundation just glides on! A 0.9ml sample lasted for 3 applications (and I was pretty generous) so that would mean that the 30ml full size jar would last 100 applications in mathematical terms. But I think it would last longer (I hope so anyways). I will definitely be purchasing the full size now! I love it! I don't think I can afford to use it everyday however, but will definitely use it when I go out or when I need to look good!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
Andriya 11/27/2005 6:49:00 AM
I have this foundation in Buff. It's provides medium-full coverage and is pretty waterproof. I can't say that I don't like it but it's smell is so overpowering - it smells of paint so I don't see how I can look at this foundation as being good for your skin. My skin looks a little masky. I'm into full coverage foundations but there are better looking ones than this.

Eye Shadow -Guerlain - Touche de Rose 260 quad
Andriya 11/26/2005 9:07:00 AM
I totally love this eyeshaow quad. I have fair skin and blue/green eyes and they complement my skin wonderfully. I use it everday for daytime (don't use a lot of the dark colours) and also use it to go out at nightime where i add on a little darker shades. Amazing. I love the shimmery effect of the lightest pale pink shade to highlight the area just under my eyebrows and the glittery feel of the darkest colour (purple) for the corners in the evening! The makeup artist used these on me for my sister's wedding in May and I have been using them daily ever since! The photos turned out amazing too!

Eyeliner -Shiseido - The Makeup Liquid Eyeliner
Andriya 11/26/2005 9:03:00 AM
I am refering to the pen liquid eyeliner that you can get refills for. I use this in black and have been using it for 2 years now and totally love it. I use it daily and I think I've only needed to buy the refill twice. It makes it so easy to apply eyeliner on the eyelid - I like a thin line but you can have it as thick as you like. I always had cotton buds waiting when I apply eyeliner but with the Shiseido one I always get it right the first time! Definitely has HG power!!P.S. I am a contact lens wearer.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:58:00 AM
I've used this eyeliner for my undereyes for years now and it's the best one I've ever used. It's so convenient because you don't have to sharpen it and it's texture is really nice and easy to apply. Black is the only colour I've ever used. I have tried a similar one by La Roche Posay but it doesn't compare. Definitely HG status!

Eyeliner -Lancome - Le Crayon Kohl
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:54:00 AM
I have the Crayon Kohl in Turquoise (waterproof version). This is a nice creamy eyeliner that is really water proof and doesn't budge. I use it under my eyes (I wear contact lenses and don't find that this irritates in any way). It's a lovely colour and a good product to try out!

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:49:00 AM
I love this mascara. Love the YSL packaging - it is sooo chic! I had used this previosuly when my sister left hers running around and loved it. Then I went out and purchased it in black. It is the most amazing mascara if you like to have eyelashes that leave a statement. It lengthens, thickens and makes your eyelashes bold. I totally love it. The intensity you want is totally buildable so you just have to layer on til you get the desired effect. I have been using the same mascara daily for around 2 months and it hasn't dried out yet. I find that the false eyelash effect becomes more intense after a few weeks - I think that this is because the formula starts to dry out a little...maybe!

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios XL SPF 60 Fluide Extreme
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:40:00 AM
My dermatologist prescribed this to me. It is an oil free and very light and fluidy total block sun block. I use it over my moisturiser and under my make up. It is very light and does not make your skin greasy. It lasts a long time too considering I use it daily. I think one bottle lasted me the whole summer. I live on an island where it gets really hot in summer and I use it on my face when I go to the beach and my face doesn't burn or tan so it shows that it really is totaly block!

Liquid -Sisley - Oil Free Fluid Foundation
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:31:00 AM
I used two bottles of this foundation in 02 Soft Beige. The colour match was perfect for my fair skin with slightly yellow undertones. It is so fluidy and glides easily onto the skin. I used to apply it with my fingers. The biggest drawback is the price. It is a lovely foundation that leaves a dewy finish but it is great because it is oil-free and non-comedogenic. My main problem was that it does not provide full coverage. I would say the coverage is medium. Some people find it sheer but if you apply it with your fingertip and concentrate on areas that need more coverage by patting gently you can get more coverage out of it. I used this everyday and didn't cause any breakouts and does not accentuate dry patches so much. It also controls oil well. It is designed for combination skin. I might buy it again in the future when my skin condition improves (i have a lot of red marks at the moment). Great foundation however! Want to try Chantecaille's Future skin but can't find samples :(

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:25:00 AM
I have acne prone skin and I am currently taking Roaccutane so my skin is dry and red. However, I have to use oil free foundations. I was really looking forward to trying Teint Idole Ultra - I have never used the regular teint idole or any other lancome foundations. I find that the pump is good to use and I apply it using the Estee Lauder foundation brush. My main problem with this foundation is that it does not give full coverage to people with acne. I find it more of a medium coverage. This is the main reason why I did not give this product a 5 rating. When it comes to hold, it does live up to its claim to last - I wear it every day and it has never slipped off or faded. I apply it over my moisturiser and allow it to sink into my skin for a few minutes (as it says on the box - leave a few minutes to ensure the makeup does not transfer) and then i apply powder. Sometimes i don't apply powder and it still holds for a lot of hours! I don't find it transfers onto my clothes. I wear this foundation in 02 - Lys Rose. I think it might be better for me when my skin improves a little and I don't need so much coverage. Also, this foundation does not accentuate my dry patches very much as do other foundations. I am going to try YSL Teint Mat Purete as I managed to obtain a sample and am really interested in Chantecaille's Future Skin but can't manage to get my hands on it!

Treatments -Schwarzkopf - Bonacure-Enzyme extract treatment
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:16:00 AM
I use the enzyme extract treatment paired with the collagen therapy and it is the best thing I could have done for my very dry ends. I am on Roaccutane and one of the side effects was to make my very oily hair really dry. So this is a lifesaver for me. It totally revives me hair and makes it so strong and healthy. Please note that this is NOT intended to make your hair feel soft and moisturised. In fact on their website it says: "Please note: BC Collagen Therapy is not designed to soften the hair, but to toughen and strengthen over-soft, chemically damaged hair" I first wash my hair with BC True Blond Shampoo. After applying the duo treatment I always follow with BC's totaly repair treatment to soften my hair and moisturise! I've recommended this treatment to my friends as it is so amazing!

Treatments -Schwarzkopf - Bonacure Total Repair Treatment
Andriya 11/26/2005 8:11:00 AM
Wow i love this. I love Schwarzkopf products and they are reasonably priced where i live. I use this along with Total Blonde shampoo and a duo protein treatment (enzyme extract treatment and collagen therapy). First i use the shampoo, then i use the duo and then i follow with this smoothing total repair treatment that makes my hair so amazingly soft - normally my hair gets so tangled. This whole combination leaves my hair perfectly poker straight when my hairdresser blowdries it for me! It is great to use for very stressed, damaged and bleached hair that is in need of revival! Try to avoid putting this on your roots though!!
