Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Dry Skin Therapy Intensive Repair Foot Creme
Ancora 4/2/2013 1:49:00 PM
Yes, it works as stated. It does make the feet softer and prettier, though you'll still have to file them, if you're anything like me. However, it really is rather expensive, and the tube is kind of small. Not sure whether I'll repurchase.
Mascara -Lancome - Courbe Virtuose Mascara (Divine Lasting Curves)
Ancora 4/2/2013 1:47:00 PM
This is my HG everyday mascara. It curves my lashes, coating them enough to add length and volume, but never clumping. The result is not dramatic, but very becoming on me.
I bought this in sample sachets on eBay, and that made this mask dirt cheap. I've just put in a repeat order, since I was very pleased with its effect. I have very sensitive skin, which reacts by stinging and breaking out when the product is too harsh. This mask caused no such reaction, and when I washed it off (taking care not to massage the grains into the skin), I was left with super soft skin, which looked clean and healthy. This will be my go-to mask when I feel the need to cleanse my skin extra thoroughly, and the sachets are very practical, as well as cheap.
That's it! I've found my HG blush. Nothing else looks quite as prettily and naturally flushed, and the staying power is impressive. The colour is just right for my pale, warm skin, and there is a bit of shimmer that looks so very natural on me. It isn't cheap- but how often do you repurchase blush?
I really like this mascara. Sure, it doesn't have the best staying power ever, but for this price, I think that the soft, no-clump lashes I get are very nice indeed. Will probably re-purchase!
Eyeliner -Maybelline - khol express in brown Gleam

I was looking for a soft eyeliner that glides on with no tugging. This is not it.
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
Ancora 2/3/2013 8:05:00 PM
This must be the most emollient lipstick I've ever owned. My lips are in terrible shape during the winter, and this is as moisturising as a lip balm. It adds a pretty sheen to the lips, and adds some depth to my natural lip colour, but that is all.
Top/Base Coats -Nailtek - Foundation II - Ridge-filling
Ancora 1/23/2012 6:37:00 PM
After doing a bit of research online for a new basecoat for my soft nails, this is what I ended up with. My nails were in terrible shape, for some reason, never getting a chance to grow long before cracking and splintering. I didn't, and still don't, have a problem with ridged nails, but that doesn't matter; I will never, ever want another base polish because of what this product has done for my nails! HG status for sure. I now have no problems whatsoever growing them as long as I want them, and despite being a lot harder than before, they don't seem brittle at all. This is exactly what I wanted, and exactly what I got. It won't work for everyone, but if you are experiencing the same problems I had, do give it a try. I get mine from eBay cheaply. As a basecoat, it performs well, in my opinion. I use Sèche Vite on top of the lacquer, and the end result doesn't chip or release from the nail, which I previously had a problem with. It also dries really fast. The only problem is that you will want to use some thinner for the last 20-25% in the bottle to improve the consistency.
I bought this product after seeing the raves here on MUA, and I must join the chorus. This lotion is simply lovely, leaving the hands very soft with only the tiniest droplet of lotion; this bottle will last me forever! However, people sensitive to scents will want to be wary; this is a very strongly scented product. EDIT: Removing a lippie since the lotion doesn't absorb easily enough for my taste. EDIT II: The lotion seems to dry my hands out in the long run. Not repurchasing.
Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Active Matt moisturizer
Ancora 5/27/2011 7:47:00 AM
I have sensitive, dry skin prone to breakouts, and this moisturizer does the job as a daycream. It leaves my skin matte, but noticeably moisturized, and it is very gentle. Best of all; the pump bottle dispenses the exact amount required for the entire face. Great!
This is now a product I will repurchase as soon as I run out. I am one of those people who are hopelessly clumsy at applying liquid eyeliner. Forget about those that come with a thin, flexible brush; I will get large clumps of colour everywhere, including in my eyes. I started using the Shiseido eyeliner with the tapered brush, and absolutely loved it; it was suddenly very easy to draw any kind of line from super thick to super thin. Well, this eyeliner isn't quite as good as the Shiseido one. The tip isn't quite as nice to work with, and it is a bit stingy on the colour, which means less inky effect and a bit more work if you want a really strong look. BUT: One of these babies cost a TENTH of the price of a REFILL of the Shiseido pens! I'm not unwilling to splurge on makeup, but really, these pens are ridiculously cheap, and wonderful for everyday use. Unlike the Shiseido pen, they won't dry out before the pen is used up, and they do last a very long time. They also give you a very long-lasting makeup, once again, unlike the Shiseido pen. If you want a liquid eyeliner that's easy to apply, dirt cheap, and gives a very durable, thin line, then this is absolutely the one to choose. EDIT: Adding an extra lippie, 'cause really, they're worth it.
I would consider this the most beautiful red polish I've ever seen. It's got a lustre that reminds me of enamel jewellery. The quality of this polish is excellent, but I would repurchase even if it wasn't, because of its beauty.
Oh, the guilty pleasures of GA makeup... Despite the horrifying price, I keep returning to the lip waxes, always keeping a #4 and a #6 with me. The #4 is a lovely, cool raspberry shade, and the #6 a rich wine colour. What I love about them is their versatility. When dabbed on sparingly with your fingertip, you achieve a "my-lips-but-better", subtle and flattering effect. When applied with a brush along with lipliner, they make very sophisticated (but not overly dramatic) made-up looking lips. Also, like the GA lipsticks, the comfort and durability is second to none. They keep your lips conditioned and soft- AND they look gorgeous. How can I not repurchase??
Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Black Out Mascara
Ancora 1/7/2011 8:50:00 PM
This is THE go-to mascara for drama-queen lashes. It instantly turns them blacker than black, long and thick without clumping- or, at least it does for me, you know how personal mascara experiences are! I don't get spiderlegs from this mascara, though I can imagine that some do. However you apply it, though, it will never come off as a natural look. This is for those glamour occasions, if, like me, you're not deft with false lashes.
This is a classic for a reason. Dry, frizzy ends are softened and strengthened. Without it, I must wait for my hair to dry before putting it up, or it will look horrible when I let it back down; with it, it looks shiny and healthy. It also seems to protect the hair from heat damage. Love it, will always repurchase when I run out.
