Concealers -Almay - Bright Eyes Eye Base + Concealer

I can't believe this concealer... It's more pigmented than any of the super expensive under-eye concealers I've tried. It really covers! I work shifts and literally have purple under my eyes. My only gripe is the packaging... it's hard to control how much product you're getting out, BUT it works so well I'm not even going to take off a star for packaging.
I was nervous to spend $100.00 on a steam straightener because of memories of the old Conair that I had back in High School (more than 10 years ago). Also, I've been a Flat Iron snob (spending waaaay too much money on Chi's, etc trying to find one that will work). Traditional irons- ceramic, tourmaline, ionic, whatever- leave my hair feeling like straw and it still gets poufy. I tried the steam straightener and it works great! I use it on the highest setting and it makes my hair soft and pin straight after just one pass. I took off one star because the steam runs out pretty quick and you can't add more while it's hot... BUT even though I have long, thick hair- I've been able to get it all straight before the steam runs out (but I'm always cutting it close). **EDIT** I'm reviewing the new Conair Infinity Steam Straightener (It's red)... not the old school white one!
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Color Boosting Sunblock SPF 30 with Helioplex

I thought this was going to be my HG product... It has everything: UVA/UVB, Helioplex, Oil Free, and Self Tanner. However, the self tanner does nothing. I bought the one for medium skin tones and after two weeks, no color change! The only positive I can say is that the product never broke my face out, even though it felt greasy.
I only gave four lippies because of the price. However, I LOVE Mystic Tan. I was determined to stop laying in tanning beds, but got frustrated with trying to maintain self tanner at home. Mystic tan is quick and easy, so it's worth some money. I get great results without any streaks. The trick is to make sure you towel off correctly. The "tanner" smell is there, but not overwhelming. I kept making my friend smell my arm to see if I stunk, but she said she couldn't smell anything.

Looks wonderful, makes my lashes long and thick. I only gave it three lippies b/c it flakes and smudges after a couple of hours. It'd be useful if you needed to get pictures made or were just going to dinner.
Self Tanners -Bath and Body Works - 24-7 Radiant Moisture Gradual Tanning Body Lotion

I have to agree with the majority of the reviews. I have this in Romance and it smells amazing. It never turns into the DHC smell, but I also have yet to notice any color change (I've been using steadily for 9 days). I have naturally olive skin, but it can still look pale in the winter. The scent is wonderful, but the product is too expensive and provides too little of a tan to repurchase.
Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts Hair Color

I've got naturally dark brown, almost black hair. I've been highlighting for years and my hair always turns orange and brassy. I read that ash colors cancel brown, so I bought this haircolor in "Clove" (Medium Ash Brown). The red has been neutralized, BUT my hair is almost black! I don't know if it has anything to do with the tons of coloring my hair has experienced, but I'll definately purchase the light brown next time! Other than the color being way darker than the box showed, my hair does not appear to be damaged at all. IF this ever lightens up, I'll repurchase in a light brown, maybe even a dark blonde!
I love love love this stuff. The spf 10 is perfect for my dark skin (I know, I know, I should be using a 15). The aerosol spray works wonderful! I read the other posting regarding a "film" that develops on skin. The hairs on my arms glistened with the product and my skin felt dry and refreshed. This may be a matter of preference, but anyone with oily skin can tell you that it's not fun turning into an oil slick after applying sunscreen. I liked the immedidate dry, clean feeling it gave my skin. This stuff did not break me out, smelled great, and I even sprayed it on my face! The can lasted me a whole week at the beach, but I was just using from the waist up. I used a moisturizing spf 4 on my legs. I've bought two more bottles.
Treatments -Clairol - Natural Instincts Shine Happy clear shine treatment

This did nothing. My hair is kind of soft, but it's just from the deep conditioner. My hair is not shiny at all. Waste of 7 bucks.
I was so happy when Jergens came out with Glow for face! I have acne-prone skin, but never have problems with anything oil-free or non-comogenic... EXCEPT THIS!!! I got bumps on my face and neck where I'd applied the product. I can't blaim them on anything else b/c the natural glow was all I used. I'm either allergic (I don't have sensitive skin, though) or the "oil-free, non-comogenic" is a lie!!

I expected great things out of this product. I can live with the awkward packaging, but not with the poor results. My hair seems to be drier than when I started using this! The Neutrogena product in similar packaging (I forget what it's called) works MUCH better!
I have dark brown hair with beige highlights so I bought the darker blonde shade. I've used it 3 times now and my hair feels like straw!!! I've noticed a slight brightening of my highlights, but it's not worth the yucky texture of my hair. Absolutely NO increase in shine, if anything it's done the opposite. Bad product. I've just ordered some shine happy off Clairol's website. Hopefully, it will do better!
Self Tanners -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Sun for Face
AnchorsAway 2/16/2006 9:56:00 PM
This is product is great! I just close my eyes and spray all over my face and neck. It dries super fast, smells like pineapples, and has never stained anything. After 2 or 3 uses I have a noticeable, but natural tan on my olive skin. The smell turns into the classic self-tanner smell (smells like corn chips to me), but I don't think there's a self-tanning product that doesn't. I've never rubbed it in, and never had a streak or a splotch. The best part is this is the first self tanner that does NOT break me out!!!
This stuff flaked like crazy! A co-worker actually had to tell me I had "stuff" all over my cheeks. I like the fat brush, but it's not worth the poor quality of the mascara. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Waste of money.
Conditioner -Pantene - Pantene Restoratives Anti-Breakage Conditioner
AnchorsAway 2/16/2006 9:42:00 PM
This is just so-so for me. At first, I liked the soft feeling of my hair while I was rinsing it in the shower. However, after it dried it felt weighed-down. I have oily roots and frizzy ends. This may benefit someone with dry hair all over. Also, after using I had a signifigant amount of (highligted) pieces of hair fall out. I don't know if it was the conditioner and/or the fact that I had recently had my hair re-highlited (Dark brown to blonde) and it may have been damaged. The smell is better that other Pantene products (Bring back the original scent!!!) but still a tad nauseating. I will not repurchase.
