Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Concealer Brush
rated 4 of 5

Strangely enough, this brush is great, just not necessarily for concealers lol. I'd still rather use my finger for concealers and found myself doing that shortly after trying to blend the concealer into my skin. The brush can be effective with a concealer if you work at it, however i find that the brush is very versatile and can easily be used for other makeup application. If anything, i'd say i'd definitely purchase this brush to have it there for other makeup application. It's a handy tool.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Total Face Brush

Nice looking brush and it feels fine. It's not the softest, but good for the price. The downside is that it does shed, which can be a pain. All in all, it's a decent brush that gets the job done. However, don't expect a high quality structure since bristles do come loose. For $1 though, it isn't bad at all.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
rated 5 of 5

You cannot go wrong with this primer. For the price, you will get more than you expected. It goes on practically sheer, and doesn't feel heavy. You don't have to put on much of it either. A little dab goes a long way. I have oily skin, so i was dubious as to whether this would make my liner and shadow last, but it most definitely did. It keeps the eyelid dry beneath your makeup. No creases or smudging was evident with my makeup after more than four hours of wearing it. For the price, it's practically a steal and works wonderfully. Even if it doesn't work out for you for some reason, you won't feel too bad because it is only $1. Highly recommend it.

Concealers -E.L.F. - Tone Correcting Concealer
rated 1 of 5

Bought this product on a whim. This one is best classified as one of those products where you get what you pay for. I bought it in Spice, and while the sweet orange smell is pleasant, and the color is perfect for me (a much better tone than the previous concealer i was using) it simply does not cover all that well. My Revlon foundation covers better than it. It goes on a bit too sheer for my liking and i had to dab on a good 4-5 coats to get a semi-decent effect. In short, this one needs to be passed. It's not one of E.L.F's better products. When it comes to concealers, you're better off coughing up your dollars to get a proper, good quality concealer.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara
rated 5 of 5
AnaPana 12/11/2011 9:07:00 AM

This clear mascara was the BEST cheap product i have bought this year! The lash gloss goes on nice and clear and maintains that wonderful, separated, wet look for as long as you need it to. It is now my go-to for whenever i have to go out but don't feel like putting on much makeup, so it's ideal for a natural look. Sometimes i just wear it with a little black liner, lip gloss, and loose powder and i'm good to go. And if i feel like being precise, i'll take my E.L.F lash comb and brush it through after applying for extra separation. The brow gloss works well too, i just don't use it as often, but it really holds those stray hairs that tend to fall out of place, without residue. I don't have to use an eyebrow pencil much anymore either, which is a great thing. Overall, this product is definitely one where you get bang for your buck. The packaging is simple and pretty, and the product works just as good. Removal is also a piece of cake, just wash off with some soap and water. Without a doubt, it's one of the best products in the E.L.F line.

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen
rated 4 of 5

Bought this pen in black last week on a $4.99 sale and i can honestly say i wasn't as disappointed as some others. I've read and watched reviews with some people complaining about it running or its sheerness but i was able to achieve the look i wanted with mine after a few uses so perhaps i had a "good one". For me, after using it two times, i noticed that the coIor ran deeper and wasn't as watery like the first time i tested it on my hand, however, to be on the safe side, I would advise that for anyone looking for an extremely deep black pigmentation that's perfect for nighttime outings and such, should probably pass on this one. Instead, i would say that it's perfect for an everyday or soft/neutral daytime look, which is perfect for me because i find black liquid liners a bit too much for daytime wear. I've also put it on over my eyeshadows with no problems whatsoever, and as a precaution, i just take a small piece of tissue or toilet paper and gently wipe away the excess shimmer left on the felt tip. This will most likely be replacing the pencil liners i used to use during the day, which i've always had smudging problems with. The only real issue i have with this product sometimes is when i apply it along the waterline (as i tend to tear up easily) and the color will just bleed right into my eye if i do while i try to apply it, so i have to be extra careful there. Storing it properly is also KEY. It has to be stored on it's side horizontally in order to get good color application every time you use it and closing the cap completely is VERY important or else it'll cause the felt tip to dry up. I've found twice that i hadn't completely closed the cap properly (luckily not too long after having done it) as the cap has to be pushed on a little harder because of the tight fit needed in order to protect the tip from drying. So don't absently close it, make sure you see it shut properly. In conclusion, i'd say that it's a decent liner once you learn how to use it, perfect for an everyday look, and a good tool to use to warm up to the liquid liners, but i would advise to wait for it to go on sale before purchasing it so you don't feel duped if you feel it doesn't work out for you in the end.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
AnaPana 7/4/2011 12:25:00 AM

Bought this product in Blue the other day on a whim since i wanted to try out new bright looks for the summer and i can say that i was not disappointed! This was the first non-black eyeliner i ever bought and i am satisfied that this first experience was a good one. The blue is so bright and pretty with lovely pigments that reflect light nicely. The liner went on smoothly and even after a tiny bit got into my eye accidentally, it did not irritate it. Overall, i love this liner, it was cheap, about $2 and some change and gave me the look i wanted. I'll definitely be buying this again.

Lotions/ Creams -Parfums de Coeur - Body Fantasies Fragrance Shimmer Lotion
rated 5 of 5
AnaPana 7/3/2011 5:08:00 AM

I got this product as a gift years ago, however at the time i wasn't heavily into makeup or experimenting with looks. This year though, now that the summer has rolled around, i dug my practically unused bottle up from storage and have started using it again and it is fantastic. I have it in White Musk and i absolutely love the subtle golden glow it gives on your skin. It is great for that summer glowing look and i use it mostly on my face, neck, and shoulders using a light hand. The lotion itself is a golden color, so it's not just white lotion with glitter chunks everywhere. It is EXTREMELY finely blended and the pigments reflect beautifully under the lights. It's a shame the product is discontinued, but if you can somehow get your hands on a bottle somewhere, do snatch it up!
