Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Soft Ochre

This paint pot is my first one and overall, it's a good product. I find it very useful in the morning, when you're in a rush and want to achieve a nice look in a few minutes. I just put a layer of Soft Ocre and a bit of Expresso e/s in the outer corner -or as a liner- and I'm good to go. As it's a neutral & matte colour, I can put a lot of different e/s on top of it, plus they adhere much better to the lid. But the texture is a bit hard to work so you have to be very quickly when applying it! The pot itself isn't really convenient though: it's a bit heavy and not really hygienic, but I use it only for myself so it doesn't relly matter here lol! I don't think I will repurchase this stuff again, it is not really a must -have and there is so much product in the pot that it'll last me longer.

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Secret Camouflage

Apart from the sobriety of the packaging, I see no good reasons to buy this concealer at all!! The texture is just awfully dry and so hard to apply, it looks even cakey after a while. It's too expensive as well for a product that is meant to have "the greatest covering effect"...obviously, the only power it has is to take your money and put it in a trash!! How I regret this purchase :(

Moisturizers -Avene - Clean-Ac

This cream has just saved my skin. I've been on a dermatological treatment 5 or 6 years ago and my skin felt sooo itchy everyday because of that. This AVENE cream was recommended to me by a really good chemist and I could never thank her enough for that! It nourrishes and soothes the skin really deeply, makes my skin so comfortable right after the application and the smell was like HEAVEN!! It contains pure thermal water and I must say that I'm a huge fan of this brand. Just good stuff! I always have a tube in case of emergency: I apply it after sunny days or on wintry conditions, it really helps restore the moisturizing level of my skin. HG material here!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Light

This gel cream moisturizes perfectly my sensitive combination skin without being shiny at all. The application is really nice and easy and the product is easily absorbed by the skin so I can do my makeup immediately. The texture is lovely ans so refreshing! I tested it just after a sleepless nigh in a smoky atmosphere, it really helped my skin to recover and it was like I had a real night of sleep. Magic! I took some lippies off because of the pot -I'm definitely against that kind of package, even if it's nice to see it on a vanity table- and the price, as for all Clinique products.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Seaweed Shine Control Moisturizer SPF 15

This moisturizer was quite efficient on my combination skin a few years ago, I must say that I liked the SPF 15 and the nice fresh smell it has. Now it comes in a pot (at the beginning it was in a tube - much more hygienic!) and I didn't manage to finish the last one I bought: my skin has become really sensitive and it wasn't protective any more. I've found better moisturizers since then.

Brows -MAC - Eyebrows Crayon in Spiked

This pencil is GREAT! The shade "Spiked"matches perfectly my brows and I use it practically every morning (I like them well-groomed). I always had issues with my eyebrows and since I have this pencil, it's heaven :) Love it and definitely will repurchase it again and again!!

Concealers -MAC - Select Cover-Up in NW15

I don't have much undereyes circles but I have some old acne scars and sometimes spots and this concealer does its job very well. I mix it with MAC Select Cover-Up NW25 to have the perfect match and it stays all day long. But it dries sooo fast! You have to work really fast when applying it unless you'll have nice marks left! I like the little tube, I find it much more hygienic than sticks! I have mine since a year now (yes there's a lot of product!) and it hasn't changed. It's a good product overall so I think I'd buy it again. But I'd like to try other concealers as well, I like to change :)

Blush -Shu Uemura - Glow On P Wine 29

Shu Uemura has a very good reputation. Just try their products and you'll understand why! This P Wine 29 is my first blush from the brand and I must say that the first time I used it, I wasn't sure I liked it that much... you need to have a VERY LIGHT HAND when using that blush because this is some really highly pigmented stuff! Once you get used to it, you'll see how beautiful it is. It's a deep pink-berry shade that gives me the nice healthy flush I need on daytime and with several layers, a more sophisticated makeup for the night. The P Wine 29 is also great for contouring. There are some very fine shimmers in it, practically undetactables but they do work to give this overall beautiful glow. The only negative point is their packaging: the lid is very fragile and not resistant at all (I've already damaged the blush with my fingernails while trying to open it). But overall this is a must have for me. I'll definitely repurchase it!!

Scrubs -The Body Shop - Mango Body Scrub

I really liked the Mango smell of this product, this was the reason I bought this scrub. About the effects well... it's an ok scrub but I think it suits dry skins better than other type of skins. As I have a normal skin, I'm not really happy with it as it leaves an oily film after using it. I'm not very found of the greasy result so I think I won't buy another one.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Vinyl Lip in Cosmic

If you want a good sheer brown gloss that doesn't make a hole in your wallet, then go for it! This Cosmic shade is a really nice beigy-brown with a light pearly effect, I like to use this with MAC cremestick liner in Raw Refined: it makes a beautiful nude yet elegant lip makeup. I just wish it would last longer but hey, it's only a gloss... a great product overall.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Beige Shimmer Brick Shimmerbrick

Love, love this!! I bought the BB Beige Shimmer Brick Compact 3 years ago and it was my first highlighter. It gives such a nice glow to the skin and it's also beautiful used as e/s. I'm an NC15 - NC20 and the Beige shade is perfect for my skintone. I agree with what Queenofdisaster wrote about the MAC MSF, they contain a lot more heavier shimmers than the Shimmer Bricks: that's why I prefer BB products for daytime and use my Msf with a very light hand for the night. Would I buy this product again? You bet!!

Last Christmas, one of my friend had Insolence as a gift and told me she has finally found a perfume that doesn't give her headaches. The scent was really nice on her, not too strong, but just enough to tell she was wearing a perfume. So I went to my local Sephora, sprayed on a little and asked for a sample. The minute I tried it, I fell in love with it! So I bought the 50ml bottle weeks later and I don't regret my purchase. I love the mix of Violet, raspberry, Iris and orange blossom, it's a very sensual and sexy scent and I get lots of compliments everytime I wear it. And the bottle is very original, made of 3 little transparent spheres imbricated.Just beautiful. Will rebuy it again for sure!

Toners -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Face Mist

I really like the Face Mist, it's a very versatile product: I use it as a toner at night after washing my face, it gives the exact amount of moisture to my combination skin. I also use it to fix my makeup and to refresh my face when it's hot. It contains vitamin E (which is a powerful antioxydant), which is great to protect the skin against the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke; the Glycerin and lecithin help restore moisture balance without greasing the skin, so it is suitable for all skin types. And finally, the Face Mist has a very nice rosewater scent so it's a real pleasure to use. One lippie's missing because it's a bit expensive for what it is. But I'm very happy with this product and will probably buy it again, if my bottle empties one day!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)

This is a fabulous blush brush from MAC. The hairs are really soft (made of goat and synthetic fibres) and provide a super light application of the product. I use this to apply my blushcremes and it's perfect to have a transparent effect, the quality of the hairs make the blending so much easier! Sometimes I use it to put powder blushes on, when the product is highly pigmented: this way, I can build layers of colours without overdoing the makeup and control the intensity of the blush. Definitely a must-have in everyone's kit!
