Moisturizers -Olay - Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30 - Sensitive Skin
rated 5 of 5
AmCam28 6/15/2013 10:35:00 PM

I normally used Olay Complete Sensitive SPF 15, but it's a little too heavy for my oily skin in the summer and it only has SPF 15. After years of trying to find a good, reliable SPF 30 moisturizer for summer weather, I finally tried this. I love it. Most importantly, it doesn't break me out my oiler-than-usual, acne-prone, sensitive skin- hallelujah. Pros: SPF 30, moisturizes enough, blends into my Indian skin easily (no white cast), doesn't break me out, inexpensive, easy to find, travel-friendly packaging Cons: none

BB Cream -Clinique - Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30
rated 5 of 5
AmCam28 4/3/2013 10:22:00 PM

I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. Clinique's Superbalanced foundation is my everyday foundation, but it doesn't last all day and needs several touch ups. I wanted something I could easily wear on days that I don't get home for 10 hours. I ordered medium deep, which matches my skin well. In cooler weather, I need a thin layer of moisturizer under this. In the summer, I can skip the additional moisturizer. I apply this with my fingers and blend. I dust powder over top and it lasts all day with blotting once. Pros: oil-free, color matches, SPF 30, light coverage that looks natural, lasts 8+ hrs. (with blotting), looks good in photos, not cakey, doesn't break out my skin Cons: does feel tacky at first, does need powder to cut down the shine on my oily skin **Edit: I love this for the summer! I wash my face, apply this, add powder, and finish with a little blush. Very easy to wear.

Liquid -Clinique - Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup
rated 4 of 5
AmCam28 3/22/2013 10:51:00 PM

I bought this for my wedding last year & use this as my summer foundation. I use Clinique's Superbalanced the rest of the year. I have extremely finicky skin, so I gravitate towards Clinique's non-allergenic, fragrance-free, oil-free products. I have tan skin, so color matching is always tricky, but #20 Golden Neutral blends in undetectably during the summer. Golden Neutral is a little dark/orange for my untanned skin. Pros: oil-free, non-comedogenic, fragrance free, holds up pretty well in warm weather, no spf- so it looks good in photos Cons: will transfer onto clothes, does need touch ups

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Medium/Deep
rated 2 of 5
AmCam28 3/17/2013 1:34:00 PM

This was a total impulse buy. I usually use Clinique Superbalanced, but wanted something that could be applied in a hurry. I haven't ever used any other BB creams, but I would compare this with a tinted moisturizer. I cleanse my face, apply moisturizer, apply this lightly with my fingers, then set with a powder. Pros: SPF 15, color matched by tan skin, lightweight, lasts most of the day once set, doesn't break me out Cons: I'm not a fan of the scent, but it's tolerable Edit: Broke me out in ways that I haven't had in years.

Moisturizers -Olay - Complete All Day Moisturizer with sunscreen Sensitive Skin SPF15 (classic gentle formula)
rated 5 of 5
AmCam28 2/2/2013 12:28:00 AM

I'm on my third bottle of the classic version. This is my favorite spring/fall/winter moisturizer. I have oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin that is under control due to Rx retinoid. This and Clinique's DDMG are the only moisturizers that I've liked enough to repurchase multiple times. Pros: oil-free, fragrance-free, SPF 15, doesn't break me out, doesn't make me more oily, actually moisturizes my skin- even in the winter, layers well under makeup, travel-friendly packaging Cons: none

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Treatment Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
AmCam28 1/1/2013 10:09:00 PM

I received this as a gift & I agree with other posters' criticisms. I have thick, straight, fine, oily hair that is below my shoulder blades. I hoped I'd have a positive experience, but no such luck. I used this with the corresponding shampoo and they left my hair slightly dry and tangly. It feels like either, maybe both, of the shampoo or conditioner didn't completely rinse and it made my hair take forever to dry. I'm happily returning to my Dove shampoo & conditioner.

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - the Detangler
rated 2 of 5
AmCam28 12/1/2012 1:44:00 PM

I used this with the Awapuhi Shampoo and this didn't moisturize my hair well at all. It's thin, so I feel like I need to use a lot of product to make my fine, long hair not tangle. The combination of the two leaves my hair oily at the roots, tangled, and slightly dry at the ends. It might fair better with a more moisturizing shampoo, but I've used better and less expensive conditioners.

Used this at a hotel and really liked it, so I bought a bottle It is slightly drying, so I have to use it with a good conditioner. I didn't like it with the corresponding Detangler conditioner, which didn't condition enough. I love the smell and lather, but I won't be repurchasing.

Lips -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Balm
rated 4 of 5
AmCam28 9/7/2012 11:28:00 PM

I own a Revlon Lip Butter, Fresh Sugar Rose, Clinique's Buttershine, and this. I like moisturizing lip colors a lot. This isn't as pigmented as Revlon, not as melty as Fresh and more moisturizing than Clinique. I was surprising that the Heavenly Berry is the exact same smell and color as one of the discontinued HIP jelly balms. I'm okay with this being a very similar formula in stick form, as it's very wearable.

Cleansers -Cerave - Foaming Facial Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
AmCam28 9/1/2012 1:17:00 PM

I'm on my second bottle and find it's as good as my other two favorite cleansers, Philosophy Purity and Olay Foaming Face Wash- Sensitive. Purity is wonderful for makeup removal but is expensive. Olay is affordable, but doesn't remove makeup as well. Both of these cleansers can sometimes dry out my oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Cerave's Foaming Facial Cleanser seems to fill all my skin's needs. It removes light makeup (concealer, blush, powder) easily and doesn't dry my skin out if I double wash for heavier makeup. This cleanser works well with my Clarisonic. Pros: generous amount, affordable, easily available, doesn't dry out skin or make it more oily, doesn't break skin out, doesn't make skin feel more sensitive, fragrance-free Cons: So far, I see none. Edit: After using two bottles, I started breaking out consistently on my forehead. I switched back to Olay and my skin was clear within a couple days. I loved using this, but will finish my bottle by using this as a brush cleaner.

Sunscreen -Aveeno - Natural Protection Mineral Block Lotion SPF 30
rated 3 of 5
AmCam28 7/23/2012 12:58:00 AM

I use Rx treatments, so SPF 30 is a must. I'd been using Neutrogena's Clear Face SPF 30, but it would sometimes sting upon application, especially if I'd been in the sun or over exfoliated. This seemed like a gentler choice, so I've been using this every day for the past three weeks. I use Clinique's DDMG before and it seems to help this absorb better and not leave as obvious of a white cast. Because I'm afraid of having a white cast, I'm probably not applying as much as I should. Pros: SPF 30, doesn't sting or irritate skin, doesn't breakout my acne prone skin, dries matte, absorbs quickly Cons: Leaves a white cast on my dark skin, but I haven't found a physical sunblock that doesn't.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer Kit (Reformulated & New packaging 2011)
rated 5 of 5
AmCam28 7/23/2012 12:10:00 AM

Although it's expensive, I love this set. The concealer matches my skin, doesn't look obvious and lasts most of the day. I like applying with my finger, it seems to blend into my skin easier. It does crease a little, but a gentle pat with my finger corrects it. I always set with the powder and it looks like I'm well-rested. I love that you get both concealer and powder in a slim case. I can use the powder anywhere my face needs a little brightening. Pros: great color match, covers well, doesn't irritate eyes, doesn't dry eye area, very travel-friendly Cons: expensive

Conditioner -Bliss Labs - Lemon and Sage Conditioning Rinse
rated 2 of 5
AmCam28 7/22/2012 10:52:00 PM

I had this from a W Hotel stay and decided to take it with me on a week long trip. This made my very-easy-to-manage, straight hair feel tangled, greasy, and heavy. I used it for half the week before realizing it wasn't the awful heat making my hair feel gross, it was this conditioner and its partner shampoo. I threw them away and used the Bath and Body Works set provided by the hotel, my hair instantly improved.
