I love this scent. I have the concreta solid form and love the earthy, almost 'mannish' smell of it. The stone container is a very solid, heavy piece and looks great - a real keeper, even though I'm not sure what to use it for when the scent is gone. I initially sprayed it on in a spa, and left. I came back the next day to purchase "Ore" in the concreta form. This is probably not a scent for everyone, but I enjoy the earthy, almost mysterious aura of this scent.

Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Rocket Blow Dryer
rated 5 of 5

This blow dryer is amazing! I must admit, I used a Conair blowdryer that I had left from high school for ages, because I mostly let my very curly hair dry naturally. However, I recently got my hair cut short and started to blow my hair out straight a few days a week. My stylist recommended CHI, and I got this one for Christmas. My roots practically lay down flat the minute the air stream hits them! I use to have a lot of trouble really drying my hair straight - I would often have waves in the back - no more! I can't say that I've saved time, I still have to dry small section by section with a lot of tension. However, I have saved time in flat ironing afterwards because the CHI does such a great job - I just pass the iron through and I'm all set. I've never had a dryer this expensive (Amazon, $120) but I am very happy with it and would make this investment again.

Conditioner -Bumble & Bumble - Super Rich Conditioner

I was excited to use this Bumble and Bumble product, the reviews were great. I picked up a 2oz sample for $7. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. I didn't like the smell, and it only did a fair job on my dry, curly hair. My hair was a little more frizzy than usual, but it is soft. Overall, most common brands I've picked up at Target for dry hair do about the same job. 2 lippies for an average product with a boutique price tag. I also got a sample of the "Deep" conditioner. I hope for better results with that!

Treatments (Eye) -Dr. Hauschka - Daily Revitalizing Eye Cream
rated 3 of 5

This little .38oz bottle did last a very long time. That said, for $50, I'd like a little more performance. Yes, it moisturized, but not sure that it firmed my eye area very much. This is excellent for contact lens wearers - I've accidentally gotten a bit of product in my eye with no reaction whatsoever! A good eye cream, and if you are really in to natural products this may work for you. Kudos to Dr. Hauschka for putting this product in a tube (recyclable at that) instead of a little pot! Although I indicated I would buy this product again, when I ran out this time I tried a few samples and ended up with a L'Occitane product. The cost just put me off. But I may be back....

Gels/Soaps -Sephora - Vanilla Cupcake Bath & Shower Bubbles
rated 2 of 5

Like most, this was a free birthday gift from Sephora. Fun scent, decent lather, cute bottle. It's a drag that the scent doesn't really last, the lather ends up being a bit drying (not as bad as other Sephora washes I've used though) and the bottle is ridiculously difficult to open in the shower. I'm constantly looking for another bottle to help pop open the lid. I'm happy that Sephora remembered my birthday, but I won't purchase this product on my own!

Styling Products -Aveda - Pure-Fume Brilliant Emolliant Finishing Gloss
rated 5 of 5
AlmostWicked 12/29/2008 12:29:00 AM

This is one of the few products I have used and been loyal to for years. The smell is what drew me in, the product performance keeps me coming back. The smell is a wonderful, unique Aveda scent. The gloss works if I am wearing my hair blown out - reducing 'puffy' hair and smoothing flyaways. If I'm going curly, it helps keep the curl defined. In both cases, it helps with resisting humidity and the shine is incredible! Too much can make straight hair appear greasy, but for my corkscrew curls, it's tough to use too much. Two pumps is generally what I work with. $24.50 for 2.5 oz and it lasts a long time.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - RX for brown skin Absolute Radiance Intensive Exfoliating Serum
rated 5 of 5
AlmostWicked 12/28/2008 9:57:00 PM

This product is a glycolic acid serum that helps exfoliate and brighten your skin. After one use I noticed a difference - my skin had a natural glow and looked smoother. I can toss the heavy exfoliating products, this is all I need. When I wash my face, I can feel how much smoother my skin is. I don't use more than twice per week. At first, I was worried that this product had something in it that would actually lighten your skin tone, but after looking through the ingredients and using for a month, I think through the exfoliation your skin just naturally brightens. $38 for 1.7oz, this will last for a while!
