Ahh, my HG powder! Oh Dream Matte, we've had so many great memories together, haven't we? I'm very pale and don't have any scars or spots (i was blessed with good skin) except for the occasional pimple or red patch. I have been on the search for a good powder to set my foundation eith ever since i realized my foundation NEVER (and i mean never) stayed on my face., Maybelline Dream Matte Powder is the one for me. I love it so much. Not only does it set my foundation and concealer perfectly, it also doesn't give me the flaky, orange look. It gives me a healthy, baby's bum soft look and feel. It has amazing staying power and last forever. And i mean forever. Only one swipe of this on my MAC 134 powder blush, and i'm good to go. I have been using this product for 1 and a half years now and i have gone through maybe 3 of these. I would reccomend this to everyone who's having problems with foundation staying on their face throughout the day.
I've never actually bought the full size of this product because i am a huge BeneFit kit junkie and a sample size of high beam always comes in one of the kits. It's really small, but i have a few so they last me a long time. So High Beam for me is a natural, glowly look in a small container (is that what you would call it?). I have really fair skin and and just a stroke of this o my cheekbones, one on my nose and one on my chin gives me a healthy glow. I don't feel the need to wear lots of shiny things on my face like glittery eyeshadow, blush or lipgloss because this gives me all the shine i need. It also stays on me very long and it gives me that glow for the rest of the day. I feel like you get your money's worth with this product. I will be purchasing a full size very soon.
I've heard great reviews on this particular mascara more than other Covergirl mascara's. So when i was in my local drugstore i picked this one and the 24 Hour one in the black packaging. The other Covergirl Lash Blast mascara (black one) was ok, but it was so hard to take off that it just wasn't worth the pain of scrubbing my eyes. This one however, i had better expectations. I was suprised when i was very dissapointed in this mascara. It went on fine, made my lashes look great. Very long and thick. Just how i like it. So after i put it on, i put on the rest of my makeup and left home. I was out for maybe 4-5 hours but when i came back home and looked in the mirror, i was horrified. I had black residue under my eyes and it had flaked all over my eye area. Panda eyes had returned! I quickly wiped it all off and woved to never use it again. Sorry Covergirl, mascara is not your strong side.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara

I heard fantastic reviews about this one for so long and after i saw it in the airport in switzerland, i knew i just had to try it. Being it is a YSL mascara, i had very big expectations for this one. The first time i tried it, i instatnly hated it. It was a clumpy mess and sumdged all over my eyelsahes and under my brows. I had to wipe all of it off and just stop using it. I felt cheated and dissapointed because well, it was so raved about and so very expensive. After a while, i decided to give it another shot. This time i decided to wipe the brush and pump it a few times to get all the excess mascara off it to decrease clumping. I applied it in slow, swift motions, careful to not smudge it all up. And it worked! My eyelashes were thick, black and lengthened up to my brows! I was so excited it finally worked. PACKAGING- this mascara comes in the same packaging as the volume faux cils one but this one has the word shocking written on the side of it. The brush is good, i'm not the biggest fan of this kind of brush though. It was kind of soft and mushy and didn't distrubute the mascara in the best way, FORMULA- It is not dry, for me it felt really wet but ki d of creamy at the same time. You need to be very careful while applying this as it can smudge because of the texture. STAYING POWER- for me, this is more of a nighttime mascara so i wear it on special occasions. It stays all night and doesn't flake. It comes off very easily with my clinique make up remover. PRICE- It was quite expensive since it is a Yves Saint Lauren mascara. But i really do agree that you get what you are paying for. Overall, it is a good special occasion mascara. If you are looking for a quick, swipe on, on the go mascara though, this might not be for you.
I actually never thought i would like this product, let alone use it but when i saw an ad for this in a magazine, it looked like a cool thing to try. I didn't have many cream eye shadows, i wasn't used to them. But this actually blew me away. I use it for a base or just on its own. PACKAGING- not the best packaging. the packaging is very small so its hard to get it on your fingertips. and it isn't very sanitary either. PIGMENTATION- is amazing! a little dab on both fingers go a long way for a beach, sun-kissed glow. it is very build able and because of its "tattoo" texture, its easy to spread. TEXTURE- because of its "tattoo" texture, it dries really fast and becomes hard and dry but in the jar, its very creamy. STAYING POWER- It stays on all day and all night for me, it dries fast and doesn't budge and that is a good thing for me since my eyeshadows never stay on without a primer. PRICE- It was fairly cheap at my local drugstore. I don't remember the exact price though. Overall, this a very good pigmented and cheap cream eye shadow for everyday use but could be builded up to become a night time eye shadow.
I really like this lipstick, maybe because this was my first MAC lipstick ever. I bought it without swatching it because i was just looking for a sheer, pink lipstick that is easy for on the go. This wasn't what i was looking for but i still liked it. Except for the fact that it has some shimmer in it that makes it looks TOO frosty on my lips. If it wasn't for the frostiness, it would get 5 lippies from me.
