OMG this is the makeup organizing system of my dreams! A large one fits a bunch of large and small pans. As soon as I saw how well the first one worked, I immediately ordered three more! Who doesn't want a well organized makeup drawer?
Treatments -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - TCA Peel
AllWhoWander 5/14/2012 10:07:00 AM
This will be a review on the 12.5% TCA peel sold by MUAC. I will have to add more as I go through the procedure but wanted it to be a step-by-step description for those thinking about doing this. The price is very affordable, especially when you consider how much it would cost to get this done at the doctor's office. I washed and then prepped some areas (forehead, above upper lip, mid-cheek area where I had some brown mottling from sun damage) with acetone. I used a q-tip to apply. My cheeks frosted slightly after a few minutes and some tiny areas of my forehead, and I got more frosting when I did a light second layer on my forehead. But not a whole lot of frosting. But then, the good news was, it really wasn't very uncomfortable at all. I thought it would really hurt but it wasn't hardly noticeable at all, at least to me. I neutralized with the baking soda/water mixture, and it didn't burn or anything, then splashed all over with lukewarm water a whole bunch of times to make sure it was all off. I had some areas that got a little red and ever-so-slightly puffy (above my upper lip) but nothing that makeup couldn't cover. Two days later, I have some of that "sunburned" look I expected. No peeling yet, and the areas that frosted seem to have a slightly thicker "dried out skin" cover. I will update as I peel.
Best pencil eyeliner I have ever tried! I have this in black and it really does glide right on. Doesn't seem to smudge during the day either that I have noticed, and you can draw quite a thin line with it. It's a bit soft so it can break easily if you don't keep the product "short." I absolutely will buy this again, and intend to buy it in other colors too besides just black. The black, though, is the blackest black I've ever seen in an eyeliner and I am very pleased with it.
Well, I'm not overly impressed with this. I feel like I get a better result with just a regular stick concealer of any type. It's creamy, so I guess it has some moisturizing properties which is good, but I think it's pretty near useless to be honest. It doesn't work very well as a primer, doesn't work very well as a concealer to conceal redness, doesn't especially help to make my eyeshadow pop. Not a total waste of money exactly but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, either.
Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Deluxe Eyelash Curler - metal
AllWhoWander 3/31/2012 9:06:00 AM
This is the best eyelash curler I have ever purchased. Before this, I only bought the usual cheap ones at the drugstore, the ones that were a few dollars. The tweezerman is something like 3 times the price of those cheap ones but it's a million times better at curling my lashes. It was so much better that I was really actually astonished by the difference the first time I used it! I will never buy anything but tweezerman from now on. Although, it came with several refills of the rubber portion so I would imagine it will be a long time before I need to repurchase at all. Ladies, do your lashes a favor and get this eyelash curler!
Awesome bronzer/blusher combo! It's really huge, great colors, and looks very natural on. Seems to be good for contouring as well as blusher/bronzer, at least on me. I think this will take me 20 years to use all the way up, LOL!
This review is for the camouflage concealer palette from Coastal Scents. This is much better than I would have thought for the price, and there is a pretty good range of concealer colors from the lightest ivory to mid-brown. The container itself is kind of cheap looking and there is no mirror, but this is a good set to buy if you are looking for a good deal or for teenagers, etc. The product inside is actually pretty good although like many creamy products needs to be set with translucent powder to work best.
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Mini Italian Badger Brush Set
AllWhoWander 3/21/2012 5:02:00 PM
My review is for the 22 piece brush set offered by Coastal Scents in a case. This brush set rocks! It's a mixture of synthetic brushes, and natural hair brushes. The quality is equal to higher-priced brushes I already own, and I highly recommend this set to anyone. The one drawback is that the case it is in STINKS. Smells like cheap plastic or some other awful thing. But I don't care, I can just stick the brushes in my cup that holds brushes and throw out the case. Really you could easily pay five times as much (or more) for brushes of this quality. Coastal Scents has really impressed me!
Amazingly great company! I could not believe how strong and long-lasting these scents are. This company makes all other perfume oils seem like garbage! AND she ships extras as a surprise! AND she is super-nice! I mean, what more could anyone ask? Give Earthen Treasures a try, you will be happy you did! I wish I could give this ten stars instead of five, LOL, it's that good!
Wow, I can't say enough good things about this company! Fast shipping, extras included in the shipment, and the product itself is amazingly good, really so much stronger and longer lasting than any perfume oils you find elsewhere! Earthen Treasures is right! This business is a real treasure for anyone who loves scent but doesn't want to spend a fortune!
Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation
AllWhoWander 12/4/2011 8:43:00 PM
GREAT mineral foundation, best I have ever tried. Covers my horrid rosacea and marks and undereye circles with ease. Looks a bit mask-like the first few minutes on (maybe I applied too much) but then melts into the face and looks just incredible. Like my own skin only way better. Fast shipping, and a bonus of a free pigment sample too! Really you ladies MUST try at least a few samples of this mineral foundation.
