Lipstick -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection in Fervor
AlexisAdella 3/12/2012 3:35:00 PM
I love this color. I got this free as a BzzAgent and I also recieved Hot which is a bit bright for my taste...however THIS one is right up my alley. (Like the pun, there?) It's a gorgeous red-brown-plum. It dries to a nice matte finish and slightly stains my lips, which I love. It wears just right as well. I love that these don't make my lips peel. I can't speak for the smoothing claim because I'm too much of a lip product junkie to wear anything for longer than 2 days in a row, but this gets a 5 out of 5 for me.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Light Beam After Dark Lipgloss
AlexisAdella 4/4/2011 4:02:00 PM
I have this in "100 In the Mix" which is a pretty much clear gloss that looks coral-pink in the tube, no glitter. The plastic piece seperating the cap and tube (looks like metal, but not) is cracked and gloss leaks everywhere. I can't imagine why that happened, as I'm not rough with my cosmetics and don't just throw them in my purse. I now have to leave this on top of my dresser upright to prevent spillage, which means the fact that it has a built in light is totally useless to me. I feel like the gloss is uber cheap similar to what you'd get in one of those dollar store roll ons and though it smells like gummi-fruit candy makes the pretty packaging a waste as well. I liuke my lipgloss to have some tack and lasting power. Too bad because I love the light and the mirror. If the packaging were better and product inside superior this could be something I could just throw in my pocket and go.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Twist and Shine Sheers Lip Polish in Joy
AlexisAdella 4/4/2011 3:57:00 PM
I'm sure this is long DCnd but I'm *just* about to finish up my gloss in (I believe) the color Joy. It's a nudey-mauve color with no shimmer. I like the applicator but click-pen type glosses never last that long once I get to really using them, and tbh that bugs me. :o) I don't smell a scent, and I don't find it overly sticky, however it does make my lips peel a little upon the wear off. I stated I would not purchase this again, because I find though it is pretty, it's very close to my natural lip color and I don't believe there is very much product in the tube as I've been wearing it on and off for about 3 weeks and it's just about gone already. :o(

Gels/Soaps -Suave - Seasonals Body Wash
AlexisAdella 4/3/2011 2:01:00 AM
I have this in Jasmine Dreams. It's gotta be over 5 years old...I know it was a LE Spring release. I truly do not understand why this wasn't perm. It smells soooo good. Like Jasmine perfume. If this is ever re-released you *must* get ahold of it. I wish I could have picked up the lotion (if there was one). The bottle doesn't throw the same scent as when you actually lather with it. It's incredible. Truly. I wish I could be more descriptive. Suave bring this scent back!

Moisturizers -Chanel - Hydramax + Active Moisture Gel Cream [DISCONTINUED]
AlexisAdella 3/31/2011 5:15:00 PM
This moisturizer sinks in incredibly fast (I have oily skin, so that's a must for me.) doesn't leave a heavy/sticky or dry/tight feeling and smells like floral perfume. All win wins for me. I wish I had a larger size, but my little sample is out... I would def. purchase this FS if I didn't have moisturizer to use and could afford the price tag, but for the purpose of this review, I "will" buy again. Great stuff.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Galaxy Glam Cocoa Comet
AlexisAdella 3/25/2011 4:35:00 PM
So sad these were DCnd. This particular one reminds me of MAC Club, or UD Lounge but more subtle. I love that you can pick up more than one color should you get one with a good amount of veining. The blue/peach swirls brighten the brown and makes for a great soft smoky eye. I have all of these I believe and Cocoa Comet, and Amber Asteroid are my favorites. Along with Mocha Meteor (which isn't very unique, but pretty) these would be my most used of the 8 released colors. I'm partial to browns. :o) In the event I'd want a black smoky eye, tho, I'd go with Shooting Star.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shine Sensational in Tempting Toffee (#55)
AlexisAdella 3/3/2011 5:34:00 PM
I love squeeze tube glosses and even better when they smell like food. I have 4 of these glosses and this is the most pigmented (I believe in the whole line actually) and it's the perfect rose-brown color for my fair skin. It's not sticky at all, more like a gel. :o) I wouldn't repurchase the other colors I have, but this one I definitely would. I hope they never DC it (though everything has a beginning and an end ::sigh::). Try this gloss. Amazing. :o) These remind me of the Bath and Body Works Liplicious but without the major sticky feel.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Brown
AlexisAdella 1/29/2011 2:14:00 PM
This is my all time favorite brown eyeliner. :o) I love that it gives a dark line without being too harsh and it's not at all shimmery. It's perfect for my go to look (the brown smoky eye). :o) Give this a try if you come across it. It's currently 75% off at CVS (the only color of the bunch) I hope they aren't DCing it!

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Royal Delicious Gloss in Cookie
AlexisAdella 1/20/2011 5:25:00 PM
I love this lipgloss! More for the smell than anything else, I admit. It is definitely NOT a sticky gloss (I actually prefer the tackier ones, as I feel they last longer.) but is very smooth. This color is a sheer golden tan shimmer, which on my pigmented lips is basically clear shimmer. I don't mind reapplying this pasrticular gloss because of the taste. It reminds me of a chocolate fudge brownie sundae, or a just baked double chocolate cookie. Amazing. The other colors in this line are very sweet and artificial smelling in comparison to this one, so due to the sheerness and lack of tack (Hey, I rhyme!) I would pass on those. If you're a fan of lip products that smell like baked goods, then this may be the gloss for you. Otherwise I'd say stay away as the lasting power and opacity is lacking. I myself, would purchase this again, but purely for the smell/taste.

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Line Single in Pebble
AlexisAdella 1/6/2011 9:01:00 PM
This is a great medium brown that is pretty pigmented. It is definitely in my opinion not comparable to a Urban Decay or Too Faced shadow, but with my elf Studio Crease Brush, I can get quite a bit of color, and deposit it nicely into the crease of my lid. Looked super pretty lightly dusted over liner on my lower lashline as well. I would def. repurchase tho I doubt I'd ever need to. The amount of brown eyeshadow in my stash is overwhelming, and to be honest I pretty much grab this when it's on top of my drawer of "browns," not because I prefer it to another eyeshadow. Unless that eyeshadow is one of the older formulations from CoverGirl or Maybelline. Those were chalk-city.

Moisturizers -Cosmedicine - Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion
AlexisAdella 12/5/2010 4:28:00 PM
I received this as a sample from Sephora in lil .16 oz tube. They seem to be phasing out the line so I couldn't tell you what the regular price of this was... As a mattifier I'd say this works pretty well. I feel like it's kind of thick when on my face and worry about my pores being clogged when I put on my foundation. Also when I *do* put on foundation it dries it out (whcih is to be expected of course) and makes it very hard to evenly spread my liquid/cream foundation/concealer over my face... If I was one who didn't wear foundation on the daily this would be a great go to product as it seems to control oil through *most* of the day, but being as I need foundation to be "even," I would not purchase. I'm not one to very option even use primer, so this extra step really isn't nec. for me. I would just as soon blot or use a face powder for touchups or to control shine.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Stipple
AlexisAdella 11/16/2010 7:18:00 PM
I said I would buy this product again, and I would being it's so cheap and does an okay job at applying blush. Although the bristles on this brush are 2 different colors, like the other Skunk brushes I've seen/tried, the density of them doesn't change much where they turn white (if that makes sense). It's a pretty fluffy brush and isn't stiffer up top (towards the handle) like the SK Skunk brush, so it doesn't give the best "minimal blush" application I find I get with my SK brush. I feel like it would be a lil difficult to stipple on foundation with this brush as it is much less dense than the SK and if I pushed down on the face with it, it would def. apply too much product. After thumbing through the bristles for a lil bit, I did notice a slight shedding, but c'mon, I'm not going to sweat it. Overall for three bucks, this was a winner. Esp. if you don't have any other stippling/skunk brush. Definitely a great starter. You may still want to invest in the SK, ST, or MAC skunk brush.

Polishes -L'Oreal - Delicate Dusk
AlexisAdella 11/4/2010 7:51:00 PM
Oh L'Oreal, why must you make your nice colors LE? Soon after this color was introduced Sally Hansen made a LE Xtreme Wear in Concrete that is extremely close. So close that I'm wearing one color on each hand and no one has noticed. I'd forget which was which if I didn't make a note. Greys are totally in this year and the purple hue to it makes it so much nicer. If you love this color, contact L'Oreal and ask them to make it part of their permanent line - I did. Maybe with enough of us, they'd consider?

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Holiday 2010 LE Night Elf eyeshadow palette
AlexisAdella 11/3/2010 4:09:00 AM
I admit I ran out to get this palette because of the MAC Club dupe (also a TF Label Whore, UD Lounge, PF Down to Earth, and a single in the Revlon LE Summer Suedes quad) but all the colors are truly beautiful. The red I fear is a bit unwearable for me, but could make a nice blush if I took the time to sheer it out. The light golden taupe, to me looks like a light antique gold on, and the black is a sure dupe for Black Tied. This one might even be worth backing up if you find you use Club, or other like colors quite frequently. :o)

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Smackers Snap-Gloss
AlexisAdella 9/11/2010 3:44:00 AM
These were a steal for me at some point. The glosses are cute and small and though great for travel, are kinda meh. One is a shimmer and one is a glitter. The shimmery one feels gritty and the glittery one seems to wear off uber quick. On the other hand the smells "Strawberry Cream" and "Vanilla Whip" is right on and mouth watering. And truth be tolod it is fun to layer them together, they do look pretty though they are a thinner, tad runnier gloss obviously geared to children. I had way too many good glosses to buy this in retrospect. :o( So I wouldn't buy again.
