Eye Shadow -TheBalm - Nude 'tude
Aishteru85 5/18/2013 9:07:00 AM
I would not describe each color in details, as i'm sure there are other reviewers that have done so lengthily. But I would like to state how I love the pigmentation, the texture and the blendabiility. Each are supremely pigmented, and feels like butter. I do have not experienced fall out with these at all, even when i dont tap off the excess on my brush. And, the blendability? I dare say its better than Urban Decay Eyeshadows, I much prefer TheBalm's eyshadow's blendability over UD as it takes such little effort to get it to blend. I feel that this palette would suit those who wear, lid, crease and highlight color combo as oppose to those who wear the lid, crease combination. Although the mid tone color in this palette is decent, it is not as much as say UD N1 and N2, so if you wear mostly lid/crease combo-specifically mid-tone colors more, you will find this disappointing, but if you wear the lid/crease/highlight combo and smoky eyes, you will find that you can create day and night neutral looks with this, and even truly sultry smoky eyes. The packaging is flimsy , for a mid range palette, i would expect it to be better packaged as one drop can break em all. All in all, these are great shadows. They're awesome..

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
Aishteru85 5/4/2013 10:58:00 AM
I don't understand what's all the hype about... This is mediocre at best. Sure it is perhaps less powdery compared to other powders, provides extremely sheer coverage, using this as a setting powder still did not keep me mattified the whole day... I was perhaps matte for 3 hours tops and I started to get oily. Did not control my oilies... Do bear in mind I have oily skin and I live close to the equator line...so this may perhaps help those with little oil issues, have dry or normal skin to begin with...anyone with oily skin should skip this.... I am nc35, and I have this in warm golden? Still a tad lighter for me... But since its so sheer it's hardly noticeable...

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
Aishteru85 4/2/2013 4:31:00 AM
This is the easiest eye look ever! I swipe this on my lids in the morning, put on liner and mascara and my eye m/u is done! Stays on my very very oily lid without primer until the end of the day when i take it off, approximately 12-14 hours wear, slight creasing at the 11th or 12th hour. Creamy texture, applies evenly no patchiness..but can get a tad frosty if applied too much though..Doesnt budge once it sets. A lazy girl's bff.My m/u staple on lazy days....

Sunscreen -Biore - UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen
Aishteru85 3/9/2013 6:35:00 AM
As I'm getting older, i realize that wearing products that suppress my natural oil makes my skin produces more oil than normal and leaves it dehydrated which in turn makes me break out even more than usual. Its weird that you can be very oily and yet have dehydrated skin as well. Anyhow, I used to use the Biore UV perfect face milk, i still use that on days i know that i absolutely need to mantain a great flawless face you know during special occasions as it extends my m/u wear time tremendously. But on a daily basis, i have switched to this since it is hydrating, and lightweight.I still have very oily face and yes this doesnt control my oil which isnt the intended purpose anyway. This doesnt have weird smell, feels like nothing, blends in seamlessly without leaving any whitish cast. Has a mousse like texture and i can even skip moisturizer by just using this. Works nicely as a make up base as well. I love this and will continue buying this forever...

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
Aishteru85 2/10/2013 10:53:00 AM
This is a mediocre eye primer, at least for me. It has slightly thinner consistency compared to UDPP, the cream comes in a tube and is skin-colored cream that blends into transparent nothingness on my lids. I have extremely oily lids and this doesnt do much for me. This does enhance the color of the eyeshadows applied on top, but creases after 4-5 hours doesnt stop my lids from oiling up unlike UDPP. My eyeshadows have disintegrated after the 4th hour even when wearing this. Expensive and doesnt work at least on me.... This may work for someone who has non-oily lids. If like me you have crazy oily lids check out UDPP, my HG eye primer.

Mascara -Maybelline - one by one, waterproof
Aishteru85 2/10/2013 12:13:00 AM
I was sucked into the hype and the pretty coral packaging....this is a mediocre mascara, for my sparse thin medium length asian lashes. Comes with rubber bristles that are fat in the middle and thin on both ends.It separates well initially, the first 3 swipes but gets clumpy afterwards. It provides more length rather than volume on me...Left my lashes feeling slightly brittle and crunchy...The good points are that it doesnt flake and smudge and is pretty easy to remove at the end of the day. Goes on quite dark black and you only need like 2 coats to darken the lashes...Mediocre at best for me...

Blush -MAC - Gleeful
Aishteru85 2/9/2013 11:59:00 PM
This is a VERY VERY Pigmented Blush. A very very light tap is all you need. I am an NC35,one tap can leave me looking like a clown, so i need to tap off the excess multiple times before I can apply it without it looking clownish...The color is a rosey-reddish-winey color. Has very minimal sheen to it, when applied, it is almost matte with very very slight sheen. Highlighters are needed if you want glowy cheeks. Stays on at least 6 hours. The texture is smooth and slightly powdery. Blends easily enough. This will definitely work for deeper skinned ladies. Color can be pretty intense and intimidating if not applied with the correct brush. I use brush that arent too dense to minimize the product pick up. All in all a decent color. Looks decent enough on my skin tone, but nothing super outstanding.....Would not buy again...

Eyeliner -Eyeko - Skinny Liquid Eyeliner - Black
Aishteru85 1/27/2013 6:18:00 AM
I have hooded lids, so my requirement for a good eye liner, that it has to dry fast, must be smudgeproof and budge proof so as to withstand the friction involved in hooded eyes and, it has to be jet black and doesnt disintegrate on my oily lids. For the most part, this ticked off most of the criterion above...its jet black, easy to apply, the tip is not too stiff nor too flimsy, just enough pliability..fast drying, and smudgeproof for at least 5 hours wear. This however disintegrates after 5 hours due to my oily lids. Overall a pretty decent liner, i have yet to find a liner that would not disintegrate on my lids..., but too expensive to buy again when most drugstore liners do just a similar job...repurchase? Nope

Concealers -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer
Aishteru85 1/20/2013 9:13:00 PM
I was recommended this by RachhLoves on YT, she raves on and on about it, so i picked it up considering its like 6 bucks, nothing much to lose. Unfortunately in my country, this has two shades, I picked up the No.2 which was a tad lighter than my skintone, I'm NC35 btw. But once I blended in, it blends in pretty nicely on my skin, and the fact that it is a tad lighter is undetectable once blended in. Has a good yellow undertone. The coverage is medium and buildable to full coverage, has quite thin consistency which i like. Doesnt get cakey..Doesnt oxidize..Doesnt break me out.Stays on my very oily skin all day without budging or separating from my bb cream/foundation. I use this mainly on post acne scars and dark spots, have not tried it under the eyes so i cant comment on the usage for that purpose...I'm glad i picked it up. I much prefer this to my MAC PLW, as this is lighter/thinner in consistency and yet provides the same amount of coverage. Highly Recommended!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
Aishteru85 1/18/2013 2:40:00 AM
Hmmm, I have sparse thin asian lashes that are neither too short nor lusciously long. And without Mascara they are non-existent. With that being said, I look for a mascara that gives me great volume, clump free and separates well with some slight lengthening. This is a great non-clumping mascara, but I really need to layer a couple of coats like 3-4 to get my lashes to stand out. If I just use one coat, they only VERY SLIGHTLY define my lashes, doesnt seem to be super lengthening either. With 3-4 coats, my lashes look okay nothing too vavavoomish. The wand is easy to use, although its quite chunky. Stays all day and holds my curl decently enough. All in all, this is a mediocre mascara for me, not bad but certainly nothing to rave about, I find the CG Volume in Orange tube works better at volumising. Bottomline, this gives okay definition and slight lengthening without clumping, and stays all day without smudging.... if you are looking for a mascara that gives that natural look, this is it but if you're looking for vavavoom lashes, look elsewhere.

Blush -Physicians Formula - pH matchmaker
Aishteru85 1/5/2013 1:35:00 PM
I'm an NC35 and with just one swipe I looked pretty clownesque-extremely pigmented. I prefer blushes that have medium pigmentation so that I can build it nicely, this is just too pigmented for my liking. I have these both in Natural and Rose. Both look exactly the same on my cheeks. Pink. Although Natural looks like a slight peachy pink leaning slightly more pink on the pan, and the Rose one is more of a true pink. Now I dont know whether the PH thing really works, whether it really adjusts to the way I naturally flush. But both of the blushes look the same on my cheeks, so does the Happy Booster Blush-all look the same, just pink. This has slight sheen to it, applies very streakily and takes some effort to blend it in. Not really impressed. But the good thing is, it does last at least 8 hours on me without any fading. No touch up needed. The color is also pretty basic and nothing unique...Will not buy it again. A note, this might work for very deep skin tone as on me, a gentle tap on the blush already makes me clownish-looking and I am an NC35...

Mascara -TheBalm - Cheater
Aishteru85 1/5/2013 1:24:00 PM
This is a mediocre mascara for me, gave my Asian-thin sparse medium length lashes a good definition. It separates my lashes well but gets clumpy after two coats. The formula isnt too wet nor too dry. Gives a slightly added volume for a natural look. Smudges badly on my oily lids after 5 hours. I prefer mascara that gives me vavavoom lashes, this isnt it. Finishing the tube and will not be buying again. I prefer my Rimmel Volume Effect Mascara much much much better and that one is dirt cheap...Will I recommend? Unless you have non-oily lids and are looking for natural lash-effect, look elsewhere..

Powder -Skinfood - peach Sake Silky Finish Powder
Aishteru85 1/1/2013 10:34:00 PM
This is a great finishing loose powder. The Powder is translucent/white and is extremely finely milled. Reminds me a lot of Elf HD Powder. It really does control my oilies very very well. I get oily only after 6 Hours after wearing this, which is rare because I have extremely oily skin. This is slightly fragranced and smells like a sweet peach scent which I actually enjoy. Upon application, it makes my skin oh-so-soft to the touch and I couldnt believe how much I wanted to run my fingers on the sides of my cheeks, my skin felt baby-soft! It comes in a cute paperbox-type container. I find that this is hard to apply cuz you have to tilt the powder on the kabuki brush as tilting the powder in the cap, is impossible as the cap came with a small hole. When you do that you need to tap a lot of the excess off, as if, you apply straight on your face, you will be left with patches of white powder on your face as the particles of the powder are not distributed well on your brush-not pretty... Overall, this is a great value, hard-working well performing powder, really does absorbs excess sebum and keeps skin matte at least 6 Hours. I got this from E-Bay for around USD 10, pretty affordable. The only downside is the packaging. Will definitely buy this again!

Blush -Too Faced - Papa Don't Peach
Aishteru85 12/22/2012 3:50:00 AM
I got this in the Sweet Indulgence Palette, I wasnt too thrilled at first cuz I usually think Palettes with face and eye products usually have poor face products pigmentations and the focus is always on the eyeshadows and they are usually good, but WOW, was i wrong. This has replaced my all time fave blush TheBalm Hot Mama Blush. This is actually reminiscent of TheBalm Hot Mama Blush, it is a peachy-pink-corally color with gold sheen. What I like about this Blush is that the pigmentation is a great medium, you can build it and doesnt come on too strong on the first swipe, by the 2nd or 3rd swipe you would have a great pigmentation very natural flush (non-clownesque)-For ref I am an NC35- for fairer skin gals, this might already be super pigmented on the first swipe. and it imparts the most beautiful peachy-pink-corally glow. The golden sheen is extremely beautiful but not overly overwhelming. Some blushes can have overwhelming sheen and sometimes when you layer it on, the sheen can be too EVIDENT and too reflective, but this is not the case with this Blush. It gives just the right amount of glow without detracting from the star of the show the blush itself. Applies beautifully, not chalky, blends well, has smooth velvety texture I am extremely impressed. The longevity is superb... lasted on me for 14 hours-considering i have very-very oily skin and sweat alot in the hot and humid weather where i live, and by the time i wash my face at night i was surprised that the blush was still there. Amazing!!! HG Status for me, once I run out from this palette i will buy the actual size... Highly recommended!

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Liner
Aishteru85 12/21/2012 6:23:00 AM
This is a mediocre liner for me, nothing to rave about but not an utter dud either. This lasted around 6 hours on me before dissolving smudging(bear in mind that i have very-very oily lids and hooded eyes). This dries a tad too slow for me cuz i have hooded lids, and since it dries too slowly, i almost always blink and it would end up transferring to the upper lids part and left me looking like i intended to draw a straight line in my socket line. (Those with hooded lids can relate). I find that when drawing the line in the same spot to darken the liner, it sorta takes it off, if that made sense, relining on the same spot would make the earlier line drawn disappear. The color however is decently pigmented, and on a normal person without special eye needs like me, this might work for you. But those with hooded and oily lids should avoid this...
