Lip Gloss -MAC - Goldensoft Lipgelee
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 10/20/2006 10:36:00 AM

Goldensoft is the perfect "goes on top of anything" lip gelee. It adds such a yummy honey shimmer to your lips. I wear it alone or paired with Sophisto or Flutterby and it looks great. The gold is not overdramatic Vegas gold at all.

Lip gelees are my preferred lip gloss because they are not sticky at all and have sheer colour. My complaint about the packaging is that the squeeze tubes are notorious for bursting at the seams. I had a Dewy Jube die in the mail, so I now carry lip gelees in a snack-sized Ziploc bag.

Application is easy with the angled applicator tip on the tube. The amount of product in the tube is 15 mL and seems to last forever for me. The tube fits nicely in my pocket if I'm ever brave/stupid enough to carry it that way. :D

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipgelee in Dewy Jube
rated 5 of 5

Dewy Jube was my first experience with lip gelees and I absolutely love the colour. The colour is a fresh cherry stain that reminds me of my lips after eating a popsicle. To me, the formerly lipstick phobic, it's a very easy-to-wear colour.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dame in a Dress Lipgelee
rated 5 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 10/20/2006 10:32:00 AM

I have three tubes of Dame in a Dress so I obviously love it! This is one of my HG glosses which sucks since it's DC. It's a very subtle yellow with the same irridescent shimmer as Who's That Lady? that reflects the rainbow off of my lips. I find this tends to brighten any lipstick I wear. This does not apply as a tacky yellow, rather is adds a glowy spun gold tint to your lips.

This is one of my HG glosses which sucks since it's DC. It's a very subtle pink gloss with silver shimmer that reflects the rainbow off of my lips.

If you missed out on this shade with Who's That Lady? don't fret! It will be released as a mini in the holiday sets.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Sophisto
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 10/20/2006 10:14:00 AM

As described by MAC: Dewy Plum Rose Splashed Subtly With Gold (Lustre). I LOVE this shade. I'm by no means a lipstick girl but this one is truly a HG colour for me. I went to MAC to B2M Berry Boost because it looked so pretty online, but when I got there it was just too much for me. The MA showed me Sophisto as a milder alternative in the same colour family so I decided to give it a try. As has been said before, it's a little bit drying and tends to wear down a bit. I pair it with a few light dabs of lip gelee to counter my problems. The colour is a warm berry with subtle gold shimmer and looks great with my fair skin and dark features.

Highlighters -MAC - Glimmershimmer - On the Town
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 9/13/2006 4:21:00 PM

I love this product! I use it as a highlight on my browbones and cheeks.

On the Town is a melony peach color and blends beautifully into my pale to medium skin. I apply Bare Minerals foundation, then this, then a blush, then BM Mineral Veil. It helps keep my cheeks from looking to chalky and it adds a hint of color.

The price wasn't bad on my end because I found it in a CCO for just over $10. The packing kinda sucks because the little tube lets way too much product out. I've taken to squirting in a sample jar and using that one squirt for two or three applications.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe eyeshadow - Graffiti
rated 2 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 10:01:00 PM

Cute packaging! I really want to like this shadow because it's such a pretty, bright, well-reviewed shade. I'm disappointed with the application, as I never get a strong pigmentation unless I swipe it on several times. I do use an eyeshadow base, MAC Stilife paint. Still, the colour is so pretty that I'm willing to work with it. I wouldn't spend another $16 on it.

Moisturizers -Dove - Dove Face Care Deep Moisture Facial Cream
rated 5 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 10:00:00 PM

I use this as my nighttime moisturizer and I really love it. It comes in a little jar and applies easily. It does soak in quickly and makes my skin feel supple and soft. I never wake up feeling greasy.

Self Tanners -Dove - Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer with subtle Self Tanners - Medium [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:58:00 PM

I'm still in the initial phases of working with this product but WOW, does it work quickly! By the second day, I had seriously noticeable colour. I did cheat and get the "for Medium tones" when I really have fair-to-medium skin. Application is a little difficult around the joints, even though I do moisturize the rough spots before hand, but I think that I'm solving the problem. This product does take a bit longer than anticipated to soak in, but overall I'm pleased. The smell is significantly better than any self tanner I've used before.

Gels/Soaps -Caress - Caress Glowing Touch Body Wash
rated 5 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:54:00 PM

I love this body wash! The smell is so yummy, with shea butter and other sweet products. The first time I used it, my husband was drooling and wanted to know what it was. This wash leaves my skin feeling so luxurious and soft, and I always smell delicious afterwards! I'm extremely pleased.

Polishes -Revlon - Cherry Crush
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:51:00 PM

I bought this because I heard it was a dupe for OPI's "I'm Not Really A Waitress". It's slightly off, a little more purpley, but overall I do like it. The colour is lasting forever and was easy to apply.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Squease Shadow
rated 2 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:48:00 PM

For drugstore makeup, this is over-priced. My husband actually bought it for me. The product came out watery at first and was highly disappointing. I'm still not too impressed, but I'll keep trying. The application is uneven, clumpy, and messy. The pigmentation is very bright and pigmented, but that is a bad thing when it goes on this unevenly. I bought Lagoon.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - dream mousse shadow-tranquil rose
rated 4 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:47:00 PM

For a drugstore creme shadow, this product is a bit over-priced. Search circulars and you can find it on sale. I also found a coupon once and that is the only reason I bought this to try. The shadow is really easy to use and dries quickly. I'm very pleased with it. Don't expect much intensity from the colour payoff, but if you are looking for something subtle and pretty to wear then this is right up your alley.

Brows -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers Natural Lash & Brow
rated 5 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:45:00 PM

I have used this "clear mascara" for years now, probably close to ten. I have never been disappointed and I've only learned more uses for it! The application is super easy and it makes my eyelashes look fresh and clean. I have also taken to using this product on my brows to keep them under control and it works beautifully. The mascara is not sticky once it dries.

Highlighters -MAC - Pearlizer - Pearlette
rated 2 of 5
AimeeGoMeow 4/13/2006 9:43:00 PM

I was slightly disappointed by this product. I'm not sure exactly what I had in mind but Pearlette just didn't cut it. My first and most important note is to apply this with a light hand! On my first application, I looked like I had a sunburn! The shimmer is nice and the colour is pretty, but I think I'll be sticking to my more conventional products.
