This color was completely streaky and difficult to apply evenly. After trying a few times I gave up and removed all the polish. It looks great in the pictures if you're extremely skilled at application. For the average user it's not worth the aggravation.
This is the best eyeliner I have ever used, although I typically spend less than $10 on eyeliners. Figured it would be worth if it this truly works as promised. I have very oily lids, and unfortunately do have a bit of smudge by the end of the day. It takes a bit of practice using the formula, which is more dry than I expected from a gel. Although not perfect, it is the best eyeliner I have tried yet and will probably continue to buy it.
Unfortunately this product really didn't work for me. I realize it's only $1, but it's not even worth that if it doesn't work to keep my eye makeup on. By 2-3 hours my eyeshadow already started to crease, and by the end of a work day it was practically gone. The only other primer I have tried for comparison is the UDPP, which definitely works as advertised but is much pricier. Wish I could have replaced it with this bargain priced primer.
I love using this as a clarifying rinse when my hair feels weighed down and built up with product. It makes my hair feel smooth, silky, and clean. My scalp even feels better too. My method is to mix it as a 1:1 ratio with shampoo. Never had any problems with the scent once my hair dries.
These are my new favorite lip gloss. Aside from the fact that they're $1 each and don't test on animals, I really like the texture, color, and staying power. The smell is like cotton candy and doesn't bother me, but apparently it isn't for everyone. I think the brush applicator works great and is pretty fun to use. I actually bought a 3 pack of these to bring my online Target order up to the $50 free shipping, but now I'm going to get more colors.
This is a fun product to do smokey eyes with, even if you're a novice like me. The light gray colors are great for wearing during the day too. They last all day when worn with UDPP. I think this might make a good holiday gift idea too. On sale at Ulta it was around $6, but normally $10.
This is the absolute best topcoat I have ever used. Usually the nail polish on my toes would last a few days before chipping. With this topcoat, my polish lasts for 2-3 weeks. I love the fact that it dries my polish right away too.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55
Adriana_C 5/17/2010 10:26:00 AM
This is a pretty good everyday sunscreen for your face. It never makes my face feel hot or sweaty later on like some other sunscreens. It also has kept my skin clear. The finish isn't quite matte, so I usually use some powder after. I think I'll keep buying this, because it does what I need and is in my price range.
Lip Treatments -Desert Essence - Lip Rescue w/ Shea Butter

This really doesn't do much to improve the condition of my dry lips. I had higher expectations due to the great reviews and the slightly above average price. The pros are that it smells good, feels good to wear, is natural, and looks nice on my lips. The problem is that my lips are just as dry as before after a few hours. I'm still on that search to find the HG lip balm and will try other products before coming back to this.
For an inexpensive drugstore foundation, I think this does the job very well. I love that it's in a glass pump and gives just the right amount each time. In fact, it's lasted me almost a year because there is no wasted product. I'm running out now and I decided I like it enough to buy another bottle. It's pretty natural looking with medium coverage and blends in my skin well. It makes my pores look better, though not completely "airbrushed." Halfway through the day the finish doesn't look as good anymore, especially in the T-zone area. I think I'll try bringing powder for touch ups or try a primer first. I bought this on some kind of BOGO so it was probably less than $5. It's really a bargain for how much it delivers.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Mascara with Lash Boosting Serum

I got this product for free as a BzzAgent, so of course I really wanted to like it. I even took "before" pictures so that I could compare the results. The only problem is that my eyes are somewhat sensitive, and they would always feel irritated after waking up the next day. I used it for about a week before deciding it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't discourage others from trying it, and I'm glad it worked for many of you. The price seems reasonable if it works.
I haven't tried the Beauty Blender (which is not in my budget), but this is the best foundation applicator I've ever used. Actually I thought this was a splurge since I'm used to buying those big bags of triangle sponges for a few dollars. I could never go back to using those things or my fingers anymore now! This little purple sponge blends the foundation in very well and is so much fun to use. I wouldn't go as far to say I look airbrushed, but it's much closer than before. I have had it for over 6 months and it's still in perfect condition.
These wipes have made my bedtime routine even easier and work just as well as a regular cleanser + water. I'm not the type to be lazy about my skincare routine, so I didn't see the point of using something like this. I got them as a back up for those nights when I'm really tired, but loved them so much that I'm using them every night now. They get all the makeup off and my face has stayed clear. I have also noticed that my skin is less dry. The price is great too, of course. I was recently at CVS and got their generic version of the same product, and they seem to work just as well.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
Adriana_C 1/30/2010 2:47:00 PM
I always thought I was too clumsy to do liquid eyeliner until this product. I can easily do a thin line, thick and dramatic, or cat eye look with this felt tip. It took a couple days to practice, but after a few weeks I can do both eyes in less than 2 minutes. It stays on all day, but will run off easily if you cry. Overall I like this better than pencil and gel liners, because it stays in place the best for me. If you've tried the brush versions of liquid and got frustrated, you'll probably have better luck with this.
Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice in Raspberry Sorbet ] [DISCONTINUED]

I have been using this blush for several years and absolutely love it. It really perks up my complexion and gives the perfect pink glow to my cheeks. Unfortunately, when I went to rebuy it recently I discovered it was discontinued! :( If anyone knows a place to buy it online or a good dupe, please pm me.
