Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Defiant - Define + Shine Pomade

I have a shorter pixie cut and I use this mostly on my ends to create some shine and smooth out any pieces that need it. I would not recommend putting this all over your head as it is so shiny it might cause greasyness for people with short hair. However it smells AMAZING and I use a little bit between my thumb and forefinger on my sideburns and the wispy bits at the nape of my neck to smooth them and keep them going in the right direction. It doesn't really provide any texture or control other than the smoothing, so don't purchase if you are looking to spike your hair.

I use this as a finishing spray unlike what it is supposed to be used for, a heat protectant. It works well in assisting my style since I work at a coffee chop where there is a lot of heat and steam. It prevents any frizz and puts my stray hairs in place after I've already styled using whatever pomade I chose. The only reasons I wouldn't buy it again is the price, and that it's not a must have, as any anti-frizz hair spray works the same for me with my pixie cut.

This for me works similarly to the Bedhead blue manipulator. It's a fiber gum, so it is that strange glue-ish type product that needs to be used sparingly for the desired effect. I have a Michelle Williams-esque pixie cut and I let myself buy any products I wanted to try when I first got it cut so that I could experiment with styling it. This is great for days when I wake up and my hair is a little frizzy despite my anti-frizz cream, it gives it shinyness, smoothness, some texture, and allows me to push/pull my layers in the right direction. It also keeps my style throughout the day, and I work at Starbucks so that means it is holding up through a lot of steam! Overall I think you are getting a decent product and amount for a very good price. P.S. how I use it: I skim my finger across the top and rub it through my finger tips and then through my hair.

Blush -Hard Candy - Blush Crush Baked Blush #127 Honeymoon

I LOVE THIS BLUSH! I just got it in the mail today and it was so pretty in the pan I couldn't resist trying it on. I gives me the glow I love with such a pretty yellow gold pinky peach color similar to what Tarte's Tipsy cheek stain does for me! An instant favorite! It is shimmery like a highlighter which is perfect for my fair fair skin. A color I will be using all year round. **EDIT** I just combined this with my Tarte Tipsy and the results were incredible Note: I use Urban Decay's All Nighter spray every day so my reviews of staying power are not of the product alone.

The woman at sephora told me that I am pale enough to just mix a bit of this in with my moisturizer so that's exactly what I do and I LOVE it!! It gives me a glow that is not too pink and still shows through my foundation. My only wishes are a lower price and perhaps a squeeze tube instead of the nail polish like applicator?

I just tried this blush today and I love it! It works as a blush for me and not a face powder because I am so pale but it has the perfect amount of golden shimmer and is a lovely pink not peachy at all. I usually head towards peachy blushes but decided to try this because of the good reviews.

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach
Adeline92 8/27/2012 6:47:00 PM
Let me first say that this was the first blush I ever purchased and that the only reason I won't buy it again is because Cover Girl tests on animals. It's a very pretty pinky peach that is perfect for my fair skin and good as an every day blush as there is no shimmer. I've found in my new love for blush that I like some shimmer however so this is not my favorite out of the ones I have tried. The packaging frustrates me as the brush it comes with is crappy as usual for any drugstore blush but the pressed powder is small and hard to get to with my bare minerals blush brush.

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder

I bought this product to be a shine fixer for the middle of the day but when I used the applicator it came with it applied way too much. But recently I tried it with a very light hand and a fluffy powder brush and it works quite well as a foundation setter and keeps my shiny nose at bay.

Blush -Hard Candy - Hide & Glow Cheek Duo Tint

This feels a bit like chapstick on my cheeks and isn't very pigmented...it's sad I really liked the color of the one I purchased, "in love". It stayed on pretty well but I always use Urban Decay's all nighter spray, and it took a lot of product to get it to show up on my face, and I'm as pale as a vampire.
