I got this on clearance at CVS I think for like 99 cents, so it's not a total loss. I will not repurchase this because it did not remove ANY of my makeup and I don't use waterproof makeup or anything. I wet my face, applied this and rubbed it into my skin for a good minute or so and then rinsed. My makeup was still completely on my face, but just sort of smeared around. I had to rewash my skin with another cleanser. I will use this in the morning to wash my face just to use it up, but will not repurchase. If the cleanser doesn't remove my makeup, it's no use for me!
Treatments (Eye) -L'Occitane - Immortelle Eye Balm
AddicTedtoMAC 9/2/2007 3:03:00 PM
This product did absolutely nothing for my eye skin. I have dehydrated skin that's getting fine lines (and i'm only 24!) and was hoping this would hydrate my skin. Nope, nothing. My skin literally soaks this up in like 5 seconds and then my skin is dry again. Luckily I got a free .17 oz jar, so I didn't have to shell money out for it. I will use it under a much more hydrating moisturizer just to get rid of it.
Sunscreen -Dermalogica - Super Sensitive Faceblock SPF30

I read the awesome reviews and thought I would give it a try. I feel like I tried a completely different product than the other reviewers- but nope, the name says "Super Sensitive Faceblock SPF 30. This product is really greasy!! After applying my foundation, I need to apply loads of powder to make my skin feel smooth again because of this demon sunblock. Because of that, my makeup looks cakey. Also, this left a white residue on my face. It also seemed to be attracted to any flakes I (didn't know) I had on my face, leaving white flakey splotches on my face. Also, some areas "pilled" off, making my face even more of a white splotchy mess! Needless to say, I will not be using this anymore. I am going back to my HG Hawaiian Tropic Oil Free Faces SPF 30, which is so much cheaper and better!
This is a really gorgeous red color! Very cheap too, at only $1.99. This is gives a really great, true cherry red. Not too orange or too dark. Really high shine and chip resistant. I like this way better than my OPI I'm not really a waitress
Sunscreen -Dermalogica - Extra Rich Faceblock SPF 30
AddicTedtoMAC 6/23/2007 2:25:00 PM
This was just waaay too thick for my face! I have dry skin that's prone to breakouts, and this broke me out! This left my face extremely greasy and I had to apply lots of powder over it to make my face matte. It also made my foundation cakey in some spots. I would definitely not repurchase this, and I'm using the remainder on my neck/hands.
Foundations -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup

I believe this is my HG foundation. I've already gone through 4 compacts. I wear the 120 Creamy Natural and it's the PERFECT match for my light skin. I have dry skin that's prone to flakiness and also acne, and this works really well for me. I wet the sponge and this literally just slides so easily on my face. Very fast application and looks very natural. The coverage is buildable, and I'd say it provides very good coverage without looking heavy. You'd probably need a concealer for bad blemishes, but this covers up my red marks from old acne perfectly. I LOVE love love this!!!!
I've been using a sample of this for a week and I really love it. My skin was EXTREMELY dehydrated. I was on Taz, and my skin was flakey and makeup looked horrible on me! I decided to lay off the harsh skin treatments and I've been using this and it has virtually gotten rid of all my dryness. I am going out to buy a full size one today. It also makes my makeup go on smoothly. A+++
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Visibly Firm Night Cream with Copper
AddicTedtoMAC 6/4/2007 3:20:00 AM
This is an average night cream. It's nice and basic, non-irritating, but really doesn't do anything special for my skin. I have semi-dry skin that's prone to breakouts. This didn't cause any breakouts or irritation, but it didn't provide enough moisturization for my skin. I don't know about the firming properties, as I'm still in my early 20s, but for a basic nightcream, this is pretty good. I might repurchase but I am always in search of something better, so probably not.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads
AddicTedtoMAC 6/2/2007 3:10:00 PM
I received a sample of this and decided to give it a try. For the past week, my skin has been EXTREMELY flakey and so makeup looks horrible on me. By the end of the day I can usually just peel of flakes of my skin. I've tried super moisturizing creams, exfoliating, etc, but nothing seemed to work. As a last resort, I tried this and this morning I woke up with incredibly smooth, flake free skin! The skin on my forehead still has a couple patches of dryness, but overall my skin is soooo smooth!!!!!! I will be buying a full size box of these today! I don't think I would use these everyday, but when my skin is flakey and I need the extra oomph, I definitely will! I love it!
This product gives good protection, but it leaves a film on my face and makes my makeup look HORRIBLE! When I apply makeup over this, no matter how long I let it sit, the foundation cakes and sort of just sits on top of my skin, and it somehow makes my foundation/powder look more orange. I've never had this problem before, and it only happens when I use this lotion- so I know it's from the lotion. That being said, I will not repurchase. It didn't break me out or anything, but not worth it if my makeup is going to look like crap
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Pure Pressed Powder in Medium
AddicTedtoMAC 6/7/2006 6:28:00 PM
I got this in Light, it goes on Sheer-Medium and looks very natural and soft. The color match is perfect for my NC20 skin color! I will definitely be repurchasing!
Cleansers -Philosophy - On a Clear Day Super wash for Oily Skin [DISCONTINUED]
AddicTedtoMAC 10/27/2005 3:22:00 AM
This product made my face feel very dry and somewhat itchy, especially near my nose area. The product is very hard to spread on the face, sometimes it slides right off my face into the sink. Doesnt remove all my makeup, and feels a bit harsh. I won't be repurchasing.
Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Lasting Lift Mascara
AddicTedtoMAC 10/22/2005 6:18:00 PM
This looks really wonderful when you wear it...you get full, gorgeous lashes....but it's too hard to remove it. It flakes really easily on your skin, so by the night I have black specks all under my eyes. It takes like 3 days for all traces of this mascara to be removed from my eyes. Not worth it!!!! Will not repurchase.
Skincare - Body -Victoria's Secret - Pretty In Pink Body Lotion
AddicTedtoMAC 8/3/2005 3:49:00 PM
I really love the scent of this. It's so fresh and feminine, but not overpowering. I dont' like the body cream though. It's too thick and hard to spread. I will repurchase this, but in the body lotion next time. Smells heavenly!
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
AddicTedtoMAC 7/19/2005 2:40:00 PM
I may be the minority here, but I love this stuff! I never buy this stuff though, only use the mini bottles from the GWP. I have sensitive, combo skin that's prone to the occasional breakout. My skin also tends to be pretty flaky. This lotion helped moisturize my skin really well and get rid of the flakes without breaking me out. It's nothing fancy, but I'll continue to use whenever I get the GWP bottles :)
