Treatments -Olay - Pro X Intensive Firming Treatment
Abbytabby 2/24/2011 11:08:00 PM
This costs about $63.00 US for 5 intensive masks and a small bottle of the skin tightening serum. The masks supposedly contain a full bottles worth of moisturizer in each one and the treatment promises to make you look younger at the end of five days and improve skin's elasticity after three. Well, the masks make you look like a slasher flick villain and are slippery and hard to get into place and to stay in place. You don't get all the goopy stuff out, but you don't need to because you can't possibly need all this moisture on your face! The instructions tell you to leave the mask on for ten minutes or until most of the serum has been absorbed. Then to pat the rest of the serum in. Well, I was patting and rubbing and trying my hardest to get all the serum into my face and neck and chest. It was a lot of serum. And it was sticky. The skin tightening serum in the bottle says to use before moisturizer so I would use it before the mask (yeah, because I needed that much more serum) it was your average serum (not worth the pricetag they put on it when you buy it separately IMO) My skin did feel softer after the skin tightening serum and mask but that was it. My niece said my skin looked more even but I really don't think it did. After the fifth treatment (earlier tonight) I definitely don't look younger, my skin was already pretty firm so I can't speak to the elasticity issue. Overall, I definitely wouldn't buy this again as it's not worth the price. I got it for free or I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

Blush -Prescriptives - Pressed Powder Leaves [DISCONTINUED]
Abbytabby 5/9/2006 12:50:00 AM
This stuff is amazing! Simply amazing. I have Rose Baroque and Antique Peach. They give me the freshes, softest glow. It's like I'm lit from within. It's truly amazing. Peach works well as a blush for me while Rose is more of a highlighter with slight color. When I tried these on my hand (after buying them based on reviews here) I was disappointed in them. I decided to try them on my face though and wow! Just wow! I instantly looked healthier and more alive and just...glowing. These have quickly become my HG and I don't say that about many products but these are just incredible. They look so plain and unassuming but then you put them on and instantly you just look so alive and so young. As I described it to a friend, it's like a child like glow. Just luminous and magnificant. I can't say enough good things about the pressed powder leaves. I will buy them over and over again until I die or they stop making them.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Brownie Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact
Abbytabby 4/30/2006 9:28:00 PM
I wish they had a Yes, yes, yes as an option for would you buy again. This has got to be the most pigmented of all shimmer bricks and is just INCREDIBLE! It's a lovely mix of (to me anyway) pinky browns with the most gorgeous champagne shade. It looks awesome on my hazel eyes, it really makes the green stand up and shout. Not just pop, the green actually stands up and shouts. ;) As a bronzer it's too pigmented for me to use without a skunk brush, even with a skunk brush it's possible to overdo it, it's that pigmented but I definitely don't find that to be a fault, I love that about it. The other shimmer bricks (save for Peony) have all barely given me any color at all and have been truly shimmer (which I love about them). This makes me glow and makes me look so alive. Now some info on me, I'm super pale, I have brunette hair with reddish highlights and hazel eyes. I think this is a shimmer brick everyone should at least check out for themselves as it's truly different than the others. I can see people complaining about it being too much pigment but for me it's just right for creating a KILLER eye look.

Blush -MAC - Dollymix
Abbytabby 4/7/2006 3:44:00 AM
This is such a perfect girly pink! Such a natural looking shade on me that gives me a glow. I apply this with the 187 brush and my face is instantly transformed from pale and blah to healthy and alive. It looks scary bright in the pan but I'm glad I didn't let that stop me. The second I tried it I was in love with it. Though it's a sheertone shimmer instead of shimmer on me it imparts a lovely glow that makes me look so healthy, like I've just come in from a workout. I will repurchase this until they stop making it.

Blush -Clinique - Breast Cancer Awareness Palette - Shimmering Tones Powder
Abbytabby 4/7/2006 3:40:00 AM
I have all the Clinique Shimmering Tones Powders and this is by far my favorite. Pigmented enough for me to use as a blush (I'm quite pale however) it has three shades of pink (light, medium and dark) all are shimmery. The texture is soft and silky and on me it lasts all day. When swirled together it creates a lovely pink glow that would look great on anyone with cool-neutral coloring. I could see it not working on very warm toned women though. All in all, I'd definitely repurchase this one as it's not only beautiful but it supports a wonderful cause as well.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Spirited
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:48:00 AM
These in fact are very highly pigmented. This duo is a lovely shade of turqouise and a lovely dark blue. This duo feels silkier than the others in the HIP line. More on par with Milani. It's still pricy for the amount you get compared to Milani though. This particular duo looks great on my hazel eyes, it really brings out the green. I would definitely repurchase.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Sassy
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:44:00 AM
Sassy is a beautiful duo that consists of a greyed taupe and a beautiful blue grey shade. The pigment is incredible. You need to apply these with a light hand or you'll easily look like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show. The shadows themselves could be silkier and softer (like Milani) but the pigment makes up for it. Would definitely rebuy.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Playful
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:18:00 AM
This makes the green in my hazel eyes POP. And wow, is it loaded with pigment. You only need a small amount and WHAM! We're talking all day long gorgeous color here. The two shades compliment each other well, one side is a vibrant peach and the other a lovely bronzey brown. I can see the colors working for just about anyone. Loreal finally did something right with their eyeshadow and pigment consistancy. Now if only they could make these shadows silkier they'd be perfect. I'd definitely rebuy.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Lively #308
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:13:00 AM
I really love this combo, it's already been described so well but I'll try it again anyway, it consists of a dark foresty green and a taupe color. At first I was afraid it would be too much for my PPP skin but it looks beautiful on. It creates an awesome smokey eye but the taupe shade also makes a great base shade on it's own (on me anyway) These are much better than Loreal shadows most of us have come to know (and for some of us hate) still not as silky as say Milani but a definite improvement. I hope Loreal comes out with more shades.

Highlighters -L'Oreal - HIP Illuminating Highlighter - Shimmer 894
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:08:00 AM
This is an all around good highlighter but nothing special. I still like my Wet N Wild All Over Shimmer better than this. It's a nice silky cream that dries to a powdery finish, it feels great on and adds more color than the AOS does but I'm not a big fan of cream products in general and this has a bit more color than I'd like, I prefer my shimmer products to have little to no color so they can be used with whatever color scheme I choose to wear that day. It's also a bit pricy and as has been mentioned, the packaging could use some improvement. Overall, it's not bad but it could be better.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinité Eyeshadow Quad
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 8:01:00 AM
I have several of these and find the quality differs from one to another. Some are quite pigmented some aren't at all. The overall quality is lacking since you can't depend on them but the ones that have good pigmentation are great. I'll buy again cause I'm a sucker for pretty colors and because sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised.

Bronzers -L'Oreal - Glam Bronze Bronzing Powder - Enchanting Sunrise
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 7:53:00 AM
I'm a PPP so this works great as a bronzer on me but jiney17 is right, it's not so much a true bronzer color. It gives me a nice healthy looking glow. It lasts all day, is finly milled and has just the right amount of shimmer. If you're scared of bronzers looking too dirty on you this is a great one to try. Would buy again if it wasn't LE.

Crème -Clinique - City Stick [DISCONTINUED]
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 6:17:00 AM
I love this stuff. The coverage it provides is just right for me. Not too heavy but not too sheer. It's almost powdery to the touch but it blends in so easily with your fingers. Great color selection. Ivory Twist is perfect for my PPP skin. Would definitely buy again.

Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 6:11:00 AM
I really wanted to love this one. I really did. The color match was great for me (N2) It even covered well and lasted through the day. Unfortunaly it broke me out terribly. I liked everything else about this though. I had no problems with it turning another color on me or looking chalky, just the breakouts. Other than that it's a great product. I gave it to my sister and it works just fine for her.

Blush -L'Oreal - Feel Naturale BLush [DISCONTINUED]
Abbytabby 1/12/2006 6:07:00 AM
I have every shade of this and wish they made more. This has got to be my favorite drugstore blush. It's silky soft and finely milled. The pigment is incredible, you only need a tiny bit so the huge compact will last a lifetime. It's kind of pricy but as I said the compact is HUGE. Would definitely buy again.
