I received this mascara in a deluxe sample size with my Sephora order, been using it for about 2 months now. The brush is full making it easy to grab at the root of lashes coating them without MISSING any areas. It does add extreme volume & length. HOWEVER, the formula is so thick you must work with QUICK precision to apply multiple coats BEFORE it dries, otherwise you’ll have a clumpy mess on your hands. Formulation is thick & JET BLACK but it leaves the lashes hard with a matte look that I absolutely hate. A long story short if this were a drugstore mascara I probably would re purchase but definitely won’t be playing $16.00 for it. My L’Oreal Volumious Carbon Black is much better.

Lip Gloss -NYX - dolly pink

Wonderful vibrant neon blue based pink that looks cool toned on my skin. It’s so bold I have to pair this with a purple lip liner (NYX purple rain). I also use NYX sweet pink lipstick (same shade a dolly pink) underneath to give it some staying power.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Lipgloss with Mega Shine - Beige

One of my favorite NYX mega shine lip glosses. What I call a “throw & go” easy lippie, it doesn’t require liner or darker lip color to suit my deep dark skin. Although it’s a neutral fresh light pink with absolutely NO brown, purple, red, yellow or blue based tones in it. This NEVER looks milky no matter how much I pile on. Mac lovelorn or Revlon primrose paired with NYX prune lip liner look so great with this.

Lip Gloss -NYX - 115 African Queen

A gorgeous bright warm fuchsia that’s greatly purple based with red tones. It also has extremely tiny electric icy purple/blue duo chrome shimmers giving it dimension. I wear this on top of Mac’s violetta & line the lips with Mac vino. A great trio with shades all complements each other. Since its red based I must pair it with a darker lip liner & lip color because red based fuchsias require manipulation for my neutral skin tone.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Trendy

This is a gorgeous dark dusty, dirty cool toned mauve. It’s actually quite unique shade. The dusty lavender w/ gray & brown tone looks awkward & unappealing in the tube, but quite the opposite on the lips. In my opinion trendy looks best on deep dark chocolate skin a gorgeous “throw & go” easy nude that needs no liner/lipstick underneath to look pretty. When I’m going for a warmer/brighter look I just add pinky mauve underneath, will definitely repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty

Nutty is a gorgeous soft silvery gray cool toned taupe with slight lavender tones. It’s an extremely pigmented frost finish, smooth to the touch and applies evenly on the lids. As well as long lasting not powdery/chunky with NO fallout during application. Taupe is usually not flattering on my deep dark chocolate neutral skin but nutty is the exception. I use this on the lid; Mac swiss chocolate on the crease, Mac malt on the brow bone & Mac sketch on the outer corner for a little smoked affect. Topped off w/ Revlon Black Cherry or Mac Ruby woo on the lips makes a vampy sultry look for winter/fall. Drugstore shadows aren’t my thing. However, nutty REALLY does have the quality of high end e/s. I will definitely repurchase this product & get back ups . Only 99 cents at walgreens unbelieveable.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Brown Script

There isn’t really a day that goes by when I don't use this eye shadow. I use this in the crease to add extra warmth to my skin toned transition colors (saddle, texture or swiss chocolate). It’s incredibly pigmented with a matte squared finish so even a light soft touch could give you too much product. Brown script isn’t brown at all it’s an antiqued reddish, orangey terracotta clay pot shade every DDD should own this.

Although Mac ruby woo is pigmented natural muddy lip color still peaks through. I searched for cheap red lip liners to use as a base & fill in my lips underneath it. One day at my local beauty supply store I got one for $1.99. Still can’t believe how much this compliments ruby woo & DOESN’T CHANGE ITS COLOR, red hot is the exact same shade/tone but w/ an ever so SLIGHT HINT of pink. Also a neutral toned red love it so much.

I adore nyx mega shine glosses buildable coverage, the texture isn't too sticky or liquidly, they're cheap, smell great & have lots of product. Natural is my most used MS gloss. It’s one of my main go to no fuss nude lippies. A neutral well balanced brown based pink not muddy or milky. I can literally throw this on with no lip liner & it won’t look milky which is rare for us DDD to find such an easy effortless nude. Mac half n half, Wet n wild bare it all are great paired with it.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk

Milk jumbo pencil is a staple product in my makeup collection. It's an opaque creamy TRUE matte white, spreads like a dream & so easy to manipulate. I use this on top of Mac painterly/bare study paint pots. This is a sticky base that helps shadows to appear more vibrant & adhere to the lids. Many eye shadow primers do stop creasing/fading but are so drying they make the shadows look dull & hard to blend. That’s why I use milk. When using it you want to apply it to the LIDS, and then blend evenly all over. Also apply enough for it to work but not too much for it to crease. I get this from my local beauty supply stores around $1.99 – $2.99 always have backups. I finish them after between 8-12 months.

Lipstick -MAC - Retro Matte - Ruby Woo

My FAVORITE Mac lipstick, one of the best reds I own. Mac's website description calling it a coral red is VERY untrue & misleading this lipstick has NO warm tones let alone orange/coral. Ruby woo is a neutral, SLIGHTLY blue based, ultra dry matte but still applies even. The signature Mac vanilla scent is even more potent due to its dry texture. Make sure to scrub the lips several times & let your lip conditioner soak a few minutes before applying. After that I line my lips w/ NYX rose brown, fill in my lips w/ a little NYX red hot (cancels out muddy lip color), and then apply ruby woo. This is a great red to wear during the day. I’ll wear this bronze/mulch on the lid or sable & sketch, even looks great w/ wood winked. Mac matchmaster 8.5 (for reference)

Brows -Wet 'n' Wild - kohl/ eyeliner/ brow

LOVE these brow pencils they're one dollar at Dollar General & 93 cents at Wal-Mart very accessible & dirt cheap. I use both dark brown & mink brown interchangeably, depending on what tone I want my brows for that day. Dark brown is a dark rich warm red based brown, mink brown is a deep dark cool brown with no red undertone & not to gray or ashy. These pencils are EXTREMELY soft, pigmented & waxy so a little goes a long way. The trick is to use soft light strokes to add definition/fullness to sparse areas, and then set with eye shadow. My brows are full & thick so I only use this to outline & brows & fill in the tail. Always use more powder to set & then clean them around with concealer. THE E.L.F sharpener is the best to use of these.

Eye Shadow -MAC - AMBER LIGHTS

Amber lights eye shadow was one item in my FIRST Mac cosmetics order. A gorgeous warm peachy, amber gold with subtle orange tones, it isn’t bronze or copper like some are claiming. I’ve hit pan on this the texture is so soft (very shatter prone), smooth & pigmentation is insane. In my opinion this looks best on tanned/ deep dark skin every DDD should own this. I’m almost out & will forever repurchase this color many brands have similar colors but the texture & wear of this one can’t be duped. Mac matchmaster 8.5 btw.

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil

I'm a DDD so the tinted mineral veil was recommended for me. I got this with a value bundle deal offered on the Bare Minerals infomerical. Anyway .... this powder is awful (just like B.M foundation) it's chalky & ashy even when using the slightest amount. No matter what foundation applied before it. After less than one hour it makes my skin shiny & greasy looking. How is that possible when my skin is DESERT SAND DRY? Although it sucks as a finishing powder its pretty decent for setting my under eye concealer. Doesn't look or feel cakey/dry but that reason alone wouldn't make me re purchase cause I prefer my Ben Nye banana powder for setting foundation & concealer.

Lips -MAC - Lustre in Lovelorn

I have a HARD time finding good pink lippies; they usually look clownish harsh or just plain awkward (like pink nouveau). Only brown & violet based pinks suit my complexion. Lovelorn is an exception it’s a fresh, clean, SOFT true blue based pink that can be worn everyday depending on your eye look. It’s a Mac lustre finish so it’s extremely moisturizing for my dry peeling lips w/ a glossy feel & shine. The pigmentation is buildable from sheer, medium to full if I want a little extra shine I pair it w/ NYX beige gloss. This lipstick is so wearable lip liner isn’t necessary & it doesn’t look milky on my deep dark skin. My makeup collection will never be without lovelorn now that I’ve discovered its glory. Mac match master 8.5 btw.
