Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Uber Dry Sunscreen SPF 30
1spell4u 9/3/2010 4:16:00 PM
I was initially against trying this sunscreen because of the negative reviews but I decided to give it try after I stood in Sephora trying every sunscreen they had and getting a whitish cast on my skin. Of course I was trying them on the back of my hands but I digress. This was the only one that didnt leave me looking like I had ashy hands so I purchased it. I'm really glad I bought this sunscreen. Its really mattifying and leaves no ghost shadow on my face. I have super oily skin and all the other sunscreens I've used leave me super greasy and ghostly. Even Neutragena Dry Touch left a little shine but that was the best I could find until now. This is my new sunscreen.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

I love this stuff! I am super super oily and this mattes me down. I get about 5-6 hours of no shine on my face. and after that I still dont have the greasies. But what I love the most is that this is a quality product at a great price.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Neocutis - Blanche Skin Lightening Cream
1spell4u 2/27/2010 3:44:00 PM
I have cystic acne that can cause discolorations when not treated properly (that means I squeezed it). I have been using regular hydroquinone for many years but Im in love with the Neocutis Blanche. It cleared my spots quickly. I could see the mark fading within 2 days. Its been 2 months now and the spots I used it on have not come back. I am religious about sunblock though. The only drawback is the price but I'm willing to deal with it because this really works for me.

Eyeliner -Victoria's Secret - Christian Siriano Kajal Eye Liner in Eclipse

The packaging is is absolutely gorgeous. I thought the color would be more intense but its not. It may be good for a super natural soft liner look but I definitely dont recommend this if your going for a dramatic eye.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion
1spell4u 12/2/2009 1:22:00 PM
I initially decided not to buy this because I thought it would be the drugstore equivalent to Givenchy's Phenomen' Eyes ( which I didnt like much). But being the mascara addict I am, I had to give in. The wand is longer than Givenchy's and maybe thats the difference. I dont use it alone. I apply it after my Prestige Matrix mascara. The Telescopic seems to grab the small corner lashes that the Matrix misses. I'm giving it 4 lippies only because I dont use it alone.

Sunscreen -Kanebo - Tiffa Silky Look SPF 50+ PA+++
1spell4u 12/2/2009 12:58:00 PM
I'm a sunscreen fanatic. I tried this because I have super oily skin and I'm always on the hunt for products that will help keep me oil free. This left a serious whitish tint to my skin even though I mixed it with my moisturizer. I have returned to my Neutrogena dry touch immediately and throwing this in my reject drawer.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Lipslicks - Edgy
1spell4u 12/2/2009 12:50:00 PM
I found this lipgloss on clearance at Ulta for 1.99 so I had to try it. I'm really glad I did. The color looks really intense and dark in the tube but its very subtle with just a hint of color when applied. The texture is very smooth and its not at all sticky, like some glosses can be. There's no waxy chapstick feel either. The packaging is lacking but for such a great product and wonderful price, I can definitely over look that.

Mascara -Kanebo - kate mascara base
1spell4u 10/11/2009 7:30:00 PM
I love this mascara base. I got it for about 11 bucks on E-bay. My lashes are not short but they arent long either. And they are on the thin side. This base has a lot of fibers in a gel type texture. Ande when I use the base the fibers add lenth and the gel thickens. I have to be careful when applying because too much can cause clumps but that is the only issue I have. But I dont consider that a big deal compared to the lush, glam lashes that I get from using this base.

Moisturizers -Murad - Oil-Control Mattifier
1spell4u 8/11/2009 6:15:00 PM
I'm so glad to finally have found a mattifying product that has SPF included. Its usually a 2-step process for me. The mattifying effect didnt last as long as some of the other mattifiers that dont have SPF ( maybe about 2 hours before I got shiny) but I like not having to mix my SPF with mattifier.

Mascara -Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill
1spell4u 8/11/2009 5:26:00 PM
I must say this is very expensive for a mascara, but it does work really well. It's really good at lengthening and it doesnt clump at all. I would buy it again because I like Armani and I love mascara...especially mascaras that do what's advertised.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
1spell4u 7/8/2009 4:05:00 PM
Finally! The perfect liquid eyeliner in a pencil. The fact that its a drugstore brand is just the cherry on top. This goes on so smooth and the color is very intense. The staying power is excellent. No racoon eyes at all. Even in the extreme Texas heat this eyeliner didnt budge or smudge. This is my new best friend and all my other liners are going under the bathroom counter.

Primer/ Corrector -Giorgio Armani - Fluid Master Primer
1spell4u 7/8/2009 3:46:00 PM
I like this primer. It did a great job of smoothing out my skin. Its a clear gel and it has a smooth texture. The only drawback is the price but since I'm a "primer queen" I have enough primers and mattifyers to rotate it. I'll definitely be keeping it in my top 5.

Mascara -Maybelline - Pulse Perfection™ by Define-A-Lash® Vibrating Mascara ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
1spell4u 7/1/2009 5:09:00 PM
I think all the vibrating mascaras are gimmicky, but I decided to try this any way. I'm such a mascara addict and I just had to try it. At first it didnt vibrate but then I realized there's a tiny little tab that has to be pulled out before it will vibrate. It clumped my lashes really bad when I first used it, but then I realized I didnt need to wiggle the wand between my lashes when i was applying. It did lengthen my lashes but no more than the non- vibrating mascaras. Certainly not as much as the advertisments would have me believe.

Primer/ Corrector -Mary Kay - Oil Mattifier
1spell4u 7/1/2009 4:50:00 PM
Today was the first day I used this and I am so impressed. I decided to try it because of all the good reviews here. I applied my sunblock and waited about 2 min. Then I applied the Mary Kay. That was at 5:30am. it is now 3:45p and my face is not shiny at all. No blotting papers, no touch ups with powder... I did nothing extra. My skin doesn't look like it did this morning when I first applied it (super matte), it just looks normal. I won this on ebay in a lot of 5 tubes. I intended to share with oily family members but now I've decided that I will just let them know what I use.

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Top Secrets Flash Radiance
1spell4u 6/29/2009 10:29:00 PM
Although I really love the Matt Touch by YSL, I purchased this also. It does work really well for me. It creates nice matte finish on my face. It doesnt keep the shine away as long as the Matt Touch does so I'm giving it four lippies. If YSL stopped making Matt Touch, I would buy this again but its too expensive to repurchase randomly.
