Okay, but nothing special. Doesn't work any better than a cheap drugstore product.
I was drawn to these by the packaging, which is seriously the loveliest makeup packaging I've ever seen. The case is a beautiful dark blue with subtle shimmers. Gorgeous! Anyway, I bought Fascinate, and it's a very nice reddish-brown. Very moisturizing, noticeable but not over the top. My only gripe is that it doesn't last long on me. Still, it's so pretty that I don't mind reapplying.
The smell of this is a little too much for me, but it does leave a really nice nude color on the lips, not too shimmery, just nice and subtle. Texture is creamy and moisturizing. I am going to try to get over the smell because this is actually really pretty on. I imagine it'd work very well to soften the shade of a darker lippie or just add a little extra oomph.
Lips -Palladio - Lip Ink Extra Long Wearing Lip Stain

I love these! I have Mocha, which, while not a true brown as I'd hoped, is a beautiful brownish/brick red color. I also have Rose, which is a very pretty MLBB shade. Both can be built up, depending on the look you are going for. And they last *all* day on me; I love lip stains and have tried a ton, but these are by far the longest-lasting. You do want to put a swipe of balm or gloss on top periodically. I will definitely be buying more of these!
Brows -Femme Couture - - Brow Couture grooming wax for brows

Wow!! I've been on a quest for something to keep my brows in place, and I've tried an assortment of products, but this beats them all hands down. I soften up the wax a bit by running it over my hand first, then swipe it on my brows, then do a quick brush with a spoolie. It stays in place all day long! No crunchy/sticky/stiff feeling, not overly matte or overly greasy/shiny looking, just perfect! I will be tossing my other similarly-purposed but underachieving products, and stick with this, because it's clearly the winner!
HG! Fantastic product! I've been experimenting with all kinds of oils, and this one is clearly the winner. I have sensitive skin that reacts very unhappily to many products, but this one actually seems to soothe it and reduce redness. I pour a small amount into my hands, rub them together and then pat them on my face. It sinks in fairly quickly for an oil, but I do have to wait a few minutes to put anything else on my face. If I've applied too much or am in a hurry, I just blot off the excess with a tissue. It leaves my face soft, happy, and seems to have balanced out any oiliness in my skin. Also awesome as an add-on to body lotion; just a few drops mixed in my hand, and my skin is sooo soft. I plan on trying this on my hair next, and in an OCM recipe. Note: as another reviewer mentioned, the Aura Cacia brand makes it hard to just get a few drops at a time. I end up rubbing the excess into my hands, but I might decant it into a different bottle.
Styling Products -Aveda - Be Curly Curl Controller (new)
1Bruce1 2/6/2013 11:12:00 AM
This is a fairly new addition to the Be Curly line. Supposedly it loosens curls, smoothes, minimizes volume (not sure why that would be desired), and reduces frizz. I'd explained to my stylist that I'd prefer my hair to be more wavy than curly, and she suggested this. It did nothing for my hair but leave it flat (I hadn't read the volume-minimizing part, to be fair) and lifeless. Also contains dimethicone, and I'm trying to avoid cones since I'm experimenting with no-poo. Again, if I'd read the back of the bottle more closely, I'd have seen this, so that's my own fault, but my stylist has rarely steered me wrong, so I just bought it. Will definitely return it to the salon. I'm becoming disenchanted with Aveda, which I've come to realize I'm often heavily influenced by their many wonderful scented products to buy. This was a big loser for me. I do wonder if it'd work well on people with "tight" curls.
Styling Products -Aveda - Be Curly Curl Enhancing Hair Spray

This is a relatively new addition to the Be Curly line. I'm not impressed, to say the least. No matter how little I use, no matter that I spray it at a distance, as my stylist instructed, it makes my hair very stiff. I'm not okay with any hair product, no matter how well it does its job, if it leaves my hair feeling icky to the touch. The other day my dr. put his hand lightly on the top of my head when he was checking my height again (which I find kinda ridiculous since I'm 36 and not getting any taller, but that's another story), and I was embarrassed because I'd used the spray earlier and knew that my hair felt really gross. Lol. Anyway, I'm returning this to my salon, because it's just awful.
Gels/Soaps -Gold Bond - Ultimate Deep Moisture Healing Body Wash-Aloe

This is the *only* body wash that I've ever used that doesn't require me to use lotion after showering. Amaaazing product! Scent is light and pleasant. I don't have super-dry, itchy-type skin, but in the winter especially my skin feels more comfortable using some kind of lotion. Not with this little wonder! My skin also reacts in an unhappy way to some products, but absolutely not with this one. I'm in love with this whole line. Most definitely HG for me!
I was reluctant to try this, based on my younger years of mousse experience. Also, I've been sucked into the Be Curly line, though that kind of stopped working that well for me, and this doesn't seem to be marketed as specifically for curly/wavy hair. Anyway, I had a travel size lying around, and finally decided to give it a try, not expecting much. But it has become my favorite styling product! It gives some definition to my wavy/curly hair, and adds volume as well. No crunchiness/stickiness, and somehow I've had way better 2nd-day hair than ever before. I do wish it smelled as good as some other Aveda products (this is very lightly scented, hardly noticeable). But, that's no big deal since I'm absolutely loving what it does for my hair. Will definitely repurchase!
Just okay, nothing special, in my experience. The scent is okay, but I don't enjoy it nearly as much as the smell of other Aveda products. Just like the Foot Relief, I think it's decent, but that there are many other better and cheaper hand/foot creams out there, and at a lower price. I like that it's not greasy, but it just doesn't do anything for my hands but provide a little moisture that doesn't last long at all. I'll use it up, but definitely won't repurchase.
Just like the Suave conditioner in the Waterfall Mist scent, this performs fabulously as either a co-wash or regular conditioner. The scent is light and pleasant and not overpowering at all. It leaves my hair soft and shiny. No complaints here--excellent product at an insanely low price!
Conditioner -Suave - Naturals Refreshing Waterfall Mist

Great stuff! I use this for co-washing sometimes and as a regular conditioner after shampoo other times, and it works wonderfully for both. I was wary about the scent based on the name, as I hate scents that are described as "fresh" and "clean" in general; I prefer more earthy scents. But when I sniffed it in the store, I was pleasantly surprised that it actually smells lightly herbal, and not overpowering in the least. I'm still going to try out other Suave scents, but it's likely that I will keep this on hand as well, because I enjoy the scent and the performance is wonderful.
Not impressed at all. It smells good, but does nothing for my feet. I'm sticking with my Aquaphor!
Good performance, but can't get past the strong smell. And I have never before met an Aveda product that I didn't adore the scent of. That's probably at least half the reason I buy them, seriously. It's not that the scent of this itself is necessarily bad, but it is so strong and lasts allll day. Headache-inducer for me, and I worry that it will offend fragrance-sensitive people around me because it's so overpowering.
