Mascara -Rimmel - Scandal Eyes
rated 3 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 3/1/2013 11:40:00 PM

Right after application, my eyelashes look amazing! They are lifted, seperated, blackest black, and volume has been added. My favorite types of mascaras are those that make my lashes "feathery" or "fluffy" while looking natural at the same time. This mascara is that- for 1 min. After that min, my lashes droop and my eyes begin to burn. That doesn't happen to me, but it is obvious this product is full of cheap, toxic ingredients. I loved the brush, the very black color, and the packaging but I was disappointed. I will maybe try out the waterproof version and see if I like that but I'm still doubtful. The formula was also too wet and sticky for what I like in mascara texture.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - aqua cream #11
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 12/31/2012 8:22:00 PM

Pros: Lasts all day, no creasing at all, does not need base or primer Cons: Dries fast I have oily lids, and have no problems with this product. I love to use it as a base for matte eyeshadows as it creats a subtle and pretty shimmery effect. It is also a gorgeous color (#11) that really makes my blue eyes standout. It dries fast, but just work quickly and it is not a problem. I find it best to use my fingers to blend, very easy application.

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Eye Shadow in Copper Penny
rated 4 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 2/4/2011 12:43:00 AM

This is a great eyeshadow! I love the color, because it's a red/orange brown it makes my blue eyes stand out. Red & orange are opposite blue on a color wheel so you get the biggest contrast with those kind of colors. I like to pack this on my lid after a primer 2 or 3 times and it stays on pretty much all day.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Baked Collection - Baked Oatmeal

First off, the packaging is somewhat lacking, I find these break easily. But that would be the only con! These colors are perfect neutrals but can be built up for night time as well. I love to use them wet because they last forever and ever!! When I use them wet I don't use a primer and they look and as I mentioned- last beautifully. The name of them is bland, but these eyeshadows are anything but.

Blush -Make Up For Ever - HD Blush (all)
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 1/11/2011 5:34:00 PM

This blush has the best staying power of any other blush! It lasts all day well into the night, looking as beautiful as when first applied. I love the finish it gives, it really is like it claims, that of skin. It isn't dewy or completely matte, it looks so fresh on anyone. It blends so well into the skin, if you gently blend the edges in.The color selection is also amazing, I have #3 (truth or dare) and I'm shade #117 in the MUFE HD foundation for reference. It looks very vibrant on my skin, like I've been excercising for a long time. During the day to tone it down I apply this after my moisturizer and use a very small amount of foundation to stipple or use a fluffy blush on top of the blush. It looks great at night, it gives me a glow. The pump tends to give more product then needed but it just takes some getting used to to get as little as possible. Half a pea-size amount will be plenty for both cheeks, so I think that although the bottle is small it is a great value. I've never experienced a blush like this before, because it seems to sculpt my cheeks as it says it will on the product info. I am going to try out one of the very light pink shades and some more as well. If you get at least one, you will not regret it. This is truly a one of a kind and innovative product that is impossible not to love. Some may find it difficult to apply at first, so I would suggest nudging the pump down as little as possible onto the back of the hand or CD and then with a ring finger pick up a little and dab it on, blend edges, and then layer more on, blend edges, etc until the desired affect is achieved. If too much is applied, use a little powder or foundation to dust over. All I can say is you have to try it and choose the right color for you, and if you don't love it you can always return it.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 1/3/2011 12:40:00 AM

I have been looking for something to wash off all my makeup for a while, because with other cleansers, some specifically makeup cleansers, I have had to scrub my face until its bright red, and there still will be residue left on my face. I love the packaging, one pump is enough for my face and neck. I love that it foams up and it feels light. It also smells really refreshing. I use this with my scrublet (available at Sephora and w Loreal go 360 clean) to gently massage the product on my skin for about 1/2-1 minute and I find it's a great combination. It literally dissolves makeup in one cleaning and I wear all long wearing products usually. I was only able to find this at Ulta after looking at CVS's and my Target near me. This is a great product for every type of skin, even extremely sensitive. HG status right here.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 12/7/2010 5:47:00 PM

I feel like this is a very good moisturizer but not the best. I love that it has no SPF and does not irritate my skin at all. I use this in the morning and at night, each time after washing my face. This definitely brightens and it evens out skintone a little bit. It kind of works for blemishes, it will help when used with an acne fighting product but does not do that much when used alone. I throughly cleanse my face everyday and use this and I don't have much skin problems. Would I repurchase? Yes I really do like this. However, my skin just doesn't feel as soft as other moisturizers make my skin feel but for some reason I really like to use this. It is very gentle on skin while doing it's job. It seems it would be very good for Combo or Oily skin.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 12/7/2010 5:28:00 PM

Coverage: Medium-Full 5/5 (very buildable, use a thin amount for medium and a little more for full) Finish: Natural & Dewy 5/5 Blends: Very well 5/5 Drying time: Drys fairly fast 4/5 Moisturizing/Hydrating: Yes 5/5 Lasts: through sweat- very strong lasting power 5/5 Packaging: Very Nice, Easy to Use 5/5 Transfers: Not really. Just a little bit after being worn for over 8 hours.. 5/5 I love ColorStay Foundation from Revlon and this is very comparable! It has the same lasting power and they both dry pretty fast after applied to the face. The differences are that the Rimmel is more moisturizing and leaves a dewy appearance on the skin, while Revlon (I use Normal/Dry Skin) drys to a matte finish which is fine during the day. The Rimmel is perfect for night and in photos as it has no SPF, doesn't need any touchup's to look amazing, and feels good on the skin. I purchased a color that was too dark for me but it blended very well... This also blends easier than the Revlon as it's more liquid-y while the Revlon has a thick consistency. So for day I continue to use Revlon but at night I use Rimmel.. couldn't be happier with these foundations:)

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 1 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 10/23/2010 9:19:00 PM

I had such high hopes for this.. I went to sephora and got color matched for it.. (normally i am tanner but this summer i decided to keep my face from the sun as i dont want wrinkles and sun spots any earlier then I should- normally I am always medium) #117 was put on and blended into my skin perfectly, although it was only applied to a my cheek/jaw area.. i got home and put this on my entire face.. and I was SOO dissapointed. It cover's my friends freckles so I thought it would cover my light acne I have been having lately, but the coverage is so bad. This is supposed to be med-full coverage... It was sheer. I dont hav alot of acne and honestly it did little improvement to my skin. It evened out my complexion, but after an hour my skin looked very pasty. I dont understand because so many people have loved this, but Revlon Colorstay blows this out of the water. That has the best coverage of anything I've tried but I wanted something that would make my skin look GREAT in photos.. The only things I liked about this was the packaging (people pay for this- and the label- even tho they say they dont.. well they do.) and the softness/smoothness of it on my face. Please listen to this review, I hate being negative about makeup products.. but test this out at least before buying!! I dont understand why so many people like it...

Scrubs -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub
rated 1 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 10/15/2010 3:37:00 PM

Pros: Smell, Really removes makeup, my pores do appear smaller, the scrublet Cons: Breaks me out (I have combo skin so its dry everywhere except for t-zone) which is hard for a product to do, irritates, brings out redness that doesn't fade back, doesn't make skin feel smoother or softer I used this everyday for a couple weeks and found it was horrible for my skin. So I tried using it once to twice a week and I discovered it to be the sole source for my breakouts. My little sister uses this and it does work for her without breaking her out, but her acne stays the same so it isn't an acne fighter at all. She will be repurchasing as she enjoys it, but it does'nt work for me. UPDATE: My sisters found that this was too harsh for her skin and stopped using it. But I have found a way to use it just to finish it up- I find that if I use a very tiny bit of product on my nose and chin area being careful to not let it spread anywhere outside of these areas it really cleans my pores, not the best but it does a good job. I still will not repurchase, next time I will buy a gentle exfoliater.

Skincare - Body -Palmers - Skin Therapy Oil
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 10/5/2010 3:28:00 PM

I love this! I only use it on my face and neck in the morning and at night. It doesnt break my acne prone skin out or make my pores bigger. I'm not sure if the recommended use is for the face but I have really dry/combo skin and this makes my skin so soft I can't stop feeling it after I put it on. It is not greasy at all provided you don't put more then a few drops on. The smell isn't bad (I really like it) unless your one of those extremely sensitive people who likes to complain about everything, i mean really who cares about the smell unless its bad? We're talking product quality and the smell is good and not very strong at all, so get over it. I have the same complaint as everyone- its very messy and they need to improve the packaging. Other than that, this is a great moisturizer and I will be re-buying again and again!

Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Purifying Brush Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 9/27/2010 8:23:00 PM

I have never used a makeup brush cleaner before, but I don't need to to see that this is not the best, in fact- pretty bad. It seemed to cling to the product on the brush so you have to really scrub hard to take it off. It also left a dry clear-glue like residue on the brushes sometimes too. While it did effectivley clean, you have to use alot of product on little eyeshadow brushes for it to feel like it actually does clean. It actually ruined my EL face brush, leaving the once soft bristles hard and clumpy. Now I clean with baby shampoo and use this too just to use up the product.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
rated 3 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 9/24/2010 3:33:00 PM

Coverage: Medium-Full 4/5 Finish: Natural 5/5 Blends: Very well, creamy texture 5/5 Drying time: 3/5 Moisturizing/Hydrating: 4/5 Mousse foundations usually are Lasts: half day when set with powder 2/5 touch-ups are quick and easy just a pain to do, and you shouldn't have to Packaging: I really like the jar as you can get out all the product, but dont like the top 4/5 Transfers: yes, very badly 0/5 This is a great foundation, feels great on the skin but the biggest issue is even when it's set with powder, it transfers so bad. I heard this is an issue with the smooth mousse as well. On hands I can understand because of the oil, but I never touch my face. It ends up on whatever I'm doing, alot on paper. That's just very annoying for me but if you find a powder that really locks this in and doesnt transfer let me know, and I would definitley repurchase.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
rated 5 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 9/24/2010 3:22:00 PM

Flakes: no 5/5 Volume: YES 5/5 Thickens: YES 5/5 Seperates: Pretty well 4/5 I use a seperator after, just because I like the look Clumps: No Lasts: All day/night 4/5 Pigmented: SO much! the black is so dark 5/5 Packaging: Whats not to love? 5/5 Price: 3/5 I hate spending this much on a mascara, I love drugstore ones but you can find this on ebay and other sites that discount it by $10 or so The people who don't truly appreciate this mascara just don't know how to use it! If you put one coat on, it looks good but not dramatic. It is actually a very pretty day mascara with 1 coat. This is what I do for gorgeous dramatic lashes: Sometimes I will curl, I put on a full coat (until their is no product left on the brush) on both sides of my lashes, then put on a light second coat (sweep), wait for it to dry, put on a second full coat, seperate lashes if they need a little more space between each lash.. and there you have it!! It can take 10-15 min, but for night it is well worth it! LOVE THIS, my HG

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
rated 2 of 5
1BlueEyedGirl1 9/24/2010 3:11:00 PM

Color match: I used the card thing which has all colors on it, and that never works btw. It made me a cool tone, which has way too much pink undertone as I always fall in the beige family. Maybe I should have gone with the warm tones, although it doesnt make sense. I need yellow undertones. Coverage: None-Medium 1/5 while it did even out my complexion and got rid of red areas, it actually accentuated my pores and acne Finish: Natural 5/5 I did like the finish, very natural. Perfect for day wear Blends: Very well 5/5 It's thin and very very blendable. I like to use my hands with this. Moisturizing/Hydrating: Didnt notice 2/5 I always look for this in a foundation as I have dry skin Lasts: Half day 2/5 unless set with powder, and some powders will make this look cakey. Packaging: I like it, reminds me of a big nailpolish 4/5 wish it had a pump tho! I liked that it didn't feel like I had much on, but the coverage and lasting time is really bad. I will not re-purchase.
