Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Night Cream
1BeeBee 12/12/2012 5:18:00 PM
I am 53 years old and have used this product for years. I am told I look like my daughter`s sister, not old enough to be a grandmother, etc. I have used Neutrogena products for years. I have tried other products, only to break out, get flaky skin or other problems. This is the only retinol that works without irritation and peeling. I have no lines around my eyes. I also use sunscreen, avoid the sun, wear sunglasses, and have taken care of myself. This is just the way it has to be. I know that the endless tubes of this product are what have helped the most along with a light moisturizer at night. Don`t use retinol in the day, it makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Also use the one that says Night it is the original formula. Recently I have been sick and had to try some other Neutrogena products and I am equally pleased with them.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ed Hardy Perfume - Love Kills Slowly Women's EDT
1BeeBee 11/10/2010 4:46:00 PM
This review is actually for Ed Hardy "Hearts and Daggers" au de parfum. I bought a bottle of another fragrance in the dept. store and was given several samples. One was Hearts and Daggers and the other was Love Kills Slowly. When I sprayed Hearts and Daggers on, it was over for me. Oh what a fabulous scent. I get headaches and nausea so easily from perfume, this is a strong scent, but I keep my nose on my wrist with this one. It is advertised as a young, rock-n-roll type scent. I`m a rock-n-roll type, young shouldn`t matter. I love it and ordered a bottle from beauty.com when they were having their 20% off sale. My husband loves it. Love Kills Slowly smells good too, by the way, but for me it was Hearts and Daggers. Oh, and that 1st bottle I bought in the dept. store, it smells nice too, but not like this.

Fragrances -Calvin Klein - Calvin Klein Beauty

I sprayed this on in Macy`s then shopped for a while to see how I liked it. For me a perfume should not carry across a room or grab everyone`s attention when you come in the door. If it begins to give me a stomach or headache, out it goes. If it has all that sandalwood, amber, deep, deeper, deepest of the passionate scents, with oriental oils, and musks that are exotic and powerful - chances are it stinks. Beauty is classic. My husband loves it. It enhances you, not overpowers you. A signature scent is one thing, smelling like you used the entire bottle at once is another. I love it.

Foundations -Physicians Formula - Talc-free Mineral Wear Loose Powder Buff Beige
1BeeBee 2/8/2008 12:48:00 PM
This is the first mineral make-up I have tried. I have never bought any on line because I like to see what I am getting when it comes to make-up. Also I had been reading for months about all kinds of mineral make-ups from reviews by users to companies who make the products. I have to say with no other experience that Physicians Formula is very good. I like the fact that I can wear lots of moisturizer and have very smooth natural skin. I chose Buff Beige and it was perfect. It goes on so easily and looks wonderful. I also use Physicians formula Mineral liquid concealer in fair. It has a little brush on the end of a tube and it is by far the best concealer I have ever used. I see no reason to buy any other brand of mineral make-up since I have had so many compliments since I have been wearing it (and I looked pretty good before ha-ha). It is always on sale at the drugstores so it will never be expensive. I had to buy another brush since the brush that came with it was too stiff for my sensitive skin. I have the Translucent Veil in Physcians Formula and I wear it sometimes alone and it is also very good.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
1BeeBee 2/8/2008 12:17:00 PM
This is the one! No more searching. No more longing and wondering if I will ever find the one for me. When it comes to mascaras there are just too many to choose from. I walk up and down the make-up department with everyone else not knowing what to pick next. Well, not anymore. Lash Exact by Covergirl is by far the best Mascara I have ever used. It gives long, separated lashes. One coat give nice lashes that last all day and night. Two coats give wonderful lashes that last the same. No smudges, no clumps, no chunks. The brush never has too much mascara on it. It comes off easily with a cotton ball and store brand cetaphil cleanser. This is my second tube (I tried a different brand in between and it went to the garbage after one use) and it will be the only thing I will buy from now on. Covergirl....don`t discontinue this please!

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Makeup Eraser Pen
1BeeBee 2/8/2008 12:06:00 PM
Now this is a great product! I needed it more when I was using bad mascara, but it is a handy addition to the make-up bag. The Revlon Make-up Eraser is a pen that you use around your eyes to remove mistakes from mascara, liner, and shadow. Gently dab the mistake away, you don`t have to rub hard. Just lightly wipe the tip on a tissue after each use and use it as needed. It is especially good for the inner eye rim because it is very soft and non-irritating. I experimented with it to see how much it would remove, and I was very pleased. Just smoothe the liquid that is left behind into your skin and that`s that. I didn`t need to reapply make-up, but that will depend on how much wiping you do. It is so much better than smearing colored eye shadow and mascara into your make-up... or making your skin red from rubbing it. This is a keeper for me.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Full Definition Voluminous
1BeeBee 2/8/2008 11:38:00 AM
I have used many mascaras through the years and this is the worst. L`Oreal makes really good products as a rule but this isn`t one of them. I had a $2.00 dollar coupon off on a mascara that was on sale, so it was a no brainer to try the mascara. It was far too wet and globby. It clumped so badly I had 3 eye lashes on the top of each eye. Trying to use another brush didn`t help to separate the lashes. I finally had mascara on my face, I poked the brush in my eye (don`t ask how) and before it was over the wand was on the bathroom rug. I had to stop and clean that (use store brand cetephil cleanser to clean make-up off you and the rug, clothing, etc). The more I cleaned up the mess, the worse it got. At least I didn`t spend very much for it. I will do a review on the wonderful mascara I bought to replace it and the snazzy little clean-up tool for boo-boos.
