This toner has reduced the oil production of my oily t-zone and helped keep my pores clear, and make them less visible on my cheek area. It smells very herbal/minty but the scent goes away quickly. It is not drying at all, and is my daily morning toner. I saw results within 1 week of using this product. Quite effective, for the relatively low price point for something that actually works. Will be repurchasing for sure.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Naruko Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Foamiing Wash

This is the smoothest foaming cleanser I've ever used, it puts my previous Shiseido foaming cleanser to shame! It feels like you are lathering up whipped cream on your face, and the rose scent is amazing. It's very calming to use, and it does not leave the skin feeling tight or dry at all, as this is part of their hydrating line. It keeps my pores very clear as well. I will definitely buy this again, and if I can get travel size of these, I would give one to every girl I know to share this awesome product. As with all Naruko prodcuts, you can re-fold the box into a useful container. I already purchased backups of this cleanser!

Eyes -Unlisted Brand - Koji Eye Talk

All my life I had puffy thick monolids and was never able to apply eye makeup. I started using eyetalk when I first found out about it in 2002. I used it daily and after a few years my crease would stay for a few hours after removing the glue at night. All this consistency paid off. and around 2 years ago I managed to get a permenant double eyelid (tapered, sometimes parallel) on 1 eye! My other eye can maintain its crease for the whole day if I put glue on it for 2-3 hours then remove it; but it goes back to monolid when I wake up the next day. I am still using this glue everyday for my monolid eye, hopefully one day it will turn double as well. Sometimes I use this on my eye with double eyelid as well, if I want the crease to be extra prominent that day. I will continue using this product forever, and I always have a few back ups. I've been using it for 10 years, and if you keep at it, it may give you that nice double eyelid you always wanted! Plus, you can use it for false eyelashes too.

I use this once a week as an exfoliator and it has done a fantastic job. Removes my dead cells without leaving my skin feeling dry and tight afterwards. It keeps my pores clear (no more blackheads) and much less noticeable. The packaging however is pretty bad. The pump pretty much stopped bouncing back up after maybe the second or third use. Now I have to push down and pull the pump back up every time, which is very annoying. Also this product is not readily available outside of Asia, which is extremely annoying. I will not repurchase this, as I already found a cheaper (but just as good) dupe of this product. It is the Naruko - Marjoram & Lavender Brightening Peeling Gel. The BEST part is, you can directly order it from their Canadian or USA site... and they ship 2 days! Not to mention it's around 1/2 the price of Cure Natural Aqua Gel.

Lip Treatments -Anna Sui - Lip Balm

Lovely small tin container packaging with the signature Anna Sui roses pattern. The balm itself looks milky pink in the container but applies clear to your lips with a slight shine. Leave you lips looking hydrated and with a healthy shine. The texture is like a gel-balm which you can easily blend out with your fingers or a abrush, definitely not sticky, and extremely smooth. The scent is that of roses, again Anna Sui signature scent. I've had this for around 2 years and i'm just halfway through. I apply it almost every morning before starting my makeup for the day. This product seems to last forever! The size is perfect for traveling or sitting in your purse everyday. Makes a lovely gift, and the packaging is so pretty you just want to reach for it all the time!

Treatments -Chanel - Nail Colour Remover

This is a very high quality nail polish remover which is VERY effective (gets the job done very quickly with little product). does not dry out your nails or your skin, and leaves your nails with a light rosey scent. The nails also look very shiny (not glossy, but a natural healthy-looking shine) after using this product. 1 lippie off due to the strong scent of roses mixed with alcohol if you smell the bottle itself.... but the scent left on your hands after using is just of roses, very nice! This product would get full score if they can remove the alcohol scent altogether (like Anna Sui's! Same quality but much better scent). However, the glass bottle is very elegant and nice to look at on my makeup table.

Eye Makeup Remover -Anna Sui - make up remover

Amazing quality, amazing price. Performs just like Lancome Bi-facil eye makeup remover except at a much cheaper price (this one costs $19 and lancome is $35 in Canada) and with a beautiful Anna Sui signature rose scent. Removers all eye makeup, including liquid liner and waterproof mascara easily, no tugging or rubbing required. This doesn't sting and leaves no greasy residue whatsoever. I used to be a very faithful Lancome Bi-facil user but I won't be using that anymore after finding this Anna Sui remover! The bottle is very pretty and easy to travel with. Definitely a great find and will be re-purchasing again and again.

Toners -Vichy - Normaderm Purifying Astringent Toner

Good, practical packing with a small dispensing hole under the flip lid. You can't really spill this product or squeeze out too much on your cotton pad. It's effective in terms of oil control, keeping pores clear, and reducing their visibility. It has worked well on my combination skin with oily t-zone. It doesn't really dry out the skin but it does leave a slight tightness after applying. The feeling should go away after applying your serum and/or moisturizer. The product would be perfect if they can improve the scent, or reduce the alcohol smell. Will repurchase this if I cannot something else as effective but with a weaker or better scent!

In correction to the previous reviewer's comments, this product is a serum - it should be used after toner and before a moisturizer. it cannot be used AS a moisturizer. If no moisturizer is applied after the serum, the slightly sticky texture remains, since it is not meant to be the end of a routine. Having said that, the serum may not work well with just any moisturizer. I am using the Narcissus hydrating & firming gel from Naruko and they seem to work perfectly together. The serum is a clear, liquidy texture with the scent of tea tree and mint. It is somewhat cooling when applied. If you don't like the minty scent, you probably won't like this product at all as it is quite prominent. This serum has helped reduce the oil production on my T-zone and helped clear and reduce the appearnce of my pores. In my opinion, it is quite effective, as I saw the effects after my 1st use and have continued to see effects. Yes, the texture feels slightly sticky after you massage it on. However, it is completely dissapeared after applying the Narcissus hydrating & firming gel, which completes my routine. The 2 together works well for reducing oil control and hydrating at the same time. My skin is left cooled and supple, no shine whatsoever, and pores are cleared and less visible. The packaging is nice. Sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser. 2 pumps is enough for the whole face, 1 pump if only using for T-zone area. Definitely a must as part of my morning routine, especially for warmer months. It's 20-something dollars, and it works!

Got this for $4 at my local warehouse sale. Good concealer, hides redness, dark circles, and pores well, does not get oily and color shade remains over 10+ hours. Great staying power and natural finish. Definitely a good buy.

Typical Vichy packaging, very practical and hard to spill or pour too much product. Super effective in removing makeup (you can do your whole face in 10 seconds wiping with a cotton pad), makes your pores super clean and leaves your face completely oil and shine-free, does not dry your skin out. This will be amazing for traveling when you want to pack light. This product is definitely underated!

Eye Makeup Remover -Estee Lauder - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

The bottle's opening make it way too easy to spill the product.... unlike other high-end brand eye makeup removers, this product is not effective. and requires you to rub the cotton pad around your eye to remove anything (compared to Chanel and Lancome, which can get the job 100% done in seconds), unlike the usual press, hold, quick wipe of better high-end similar products. If I'm going to pay for a high-end eye makeup remover, I won't have the patience to work this hard and get crappy results..... Also it DOES NOT remove mascara, it simply smudges everywhere and makes you look like you have awful undereye circles. It's OK for removing eyeshadow but even for eyeliner you need to "work it" a lot. I wish I could give this a rating of ZERO! Please do not waste your money on this useless liquid. I only use it to spot-clean eyeshadow off my brushes now. Thank god mine was a full-sized gwp.

Powder -Tarte - Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder

In my opinion, this powder gives a slightly more natural finish than the MUFE microfinish powder, their oil control ability is very similar, This works best if the makeup applied before this powder is done nicely, since the powder can accentuate dry skin patches. This powder is supposed to be "good for skin" but I didn't see much change in my skin condition after using this for around 3 months. The tiny hole from which the powder comes out distributes just the right amount for each application with a large powder brush, since you only need very little. It can also make your neck look flawness if you put it over any makeup on the neck area. Also, it comes with a huge amount of product, still looks brand new after 3 months.

This is for the shade Pure Pearlfection --- This beautiful polish is great on its own or on top of any other color to give it a more shimmery effect with a subtle glitters. It has a very frosty finish and is NOT over-the-top sparkly at all. It's unique when compared to other clear sparkly polishes because it is not a clear finish but a very frosty shimmery finish, and the glitters are very fine and subtle. It adds sophistication to any polish underneath and can cool down other color tones too. It also goes well on the tips of nails for creating gradient designs as well. It's also a very safe choice as a gift, anyone can use this! Good buy, will repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm

Nice cute packaging and amazing price! I have it in Pink Punch and it gives a nice baby pink finish that is minimally glossy. It's great for days when you need some moisture and some color but only have 5 seconds to do your lips in the morning. It has a refreshing fruity scent and the moisturizing ability is alright. Even after the moisturizing feeling wears off the light pink tint remains on your lips. It's not a super amazing lipbalm, but if you consider the cheap price, it's awesome! It makes you want to reach for it from you makeup bag throughout the day, just for the nice scent and smoothness of the lipbalm. Overall, pretty good product for a reeeeeeally good price.
