Consistency: The smooth feeling is caused by the silicones that are used in this product. Ingredient quality: I usually trust Murad to not take the easy/cheaper route with their ingredients but I was sorely mistaken. I let my mother use it and she got a blackhead in the under-eye area. The under eye area is usually never a place where she (or anyone for that matter) would usually get any type of clogged pore. It just goes to show that the ingredients are very comedogenic. Packaging: The cream has two parts that are supposed to mix when you pump. The first ten pumps did not have the mixed product. Price: For the poor quality of this product I really am angered by the price. Overall: Don't waste your money on this product. There are so many other eye creams that are not only cost effective but work much better.
Just FYI my skintone is south asian cafe au lait and my nailbed color is a pinky/beige color. This color looked great with my skintone. My only gripe is that it's hard to get all your nails the same shade of this color because of the streaky formula. Other than that it is a gorgeous milky nude beige.
Pretty, unique color. Good staying power. Streaky if you don't apply enough coats. Good for a fun spring/summer color. I would buy it again if I could afford it.
Nice color. Okay staying power. Okay packaging. Wish it didn't contain so many chemicals. (Try Zoya brand for a good polish that doesn't have too many chemicals) Drying time is pretty long (try buying the OPI nail drops) Color isn't streaky as long as you apply more than one coat.
Lotions/ Creams -Weleda - Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion

Again, what is up with the packaging, Weleda? This whole glass bottle thing is not working for me. It would be MUCH more user friendly if they put the product in a squeeze tube. The product smelled like oranges. At first it just sat on my skin but after a long time it finally sunk in (or rubbed off or evaporated ....I'm not exactly sure but I'll give Weleda the benefit of the doubt and say that it sunk in). I haven't really seen any improvements so far but I will continue to use it....even though it will be a pain in the butt because of the stupid packaging.
Why would they package an oil in an open mouth bottle? It just doesn't make practical sense. I have to be extremely careful when I poured this stuff out otherwise I would get a greenish yellow stain on my carpet. The actual product smells bad and doesn't do much. If you want something cheaper and less stinky try Nivea's goodbye cellulite.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Eden

This color does not look good because of the excess of yellow pigments in it. It also creases and to make matters worse they still haven't changed the design of the stupid bottle that leaves half of the product un-reachable with the wand. I am not a happy customer. I don't know why I didn't just get the original.
Styling Products -Alterna - Hemp Seed Texturizing Glaze
093274000 9/25/2010 1:51:00 AM
Ugh...What genius' idea was it to put beeswax in a hair product. Seriously?! This coated my hair so bad and made it extremely dull and not 'glazed' whatsoever. =( I'm sad that I spent so much money and that I didn't listen to the other negative reviews.
Considering the price, I don't see any noteworthy shine-lending qualities. The only shine ingredients are hemp seed oil and alcohol. The former causes the hair to become greasy and coated and the latter causes the hair to be zapped of moisture. For a good at home shine rinse, combine equal parts of lemon juice and ice water and strain (to remove seeds and pulp). Make sure to put that on AFTER you shampoo and condition.
I am starting to get frustrated. As a woman of color, I cannot for the life of me, find a good sunscreen. Every single type I have tried so far has left me looking like a ghost and greasy as hell. Ugh. I guess this product would be good if you had the skin color of dita von teese. I also hate the waxy residue that this leaves on my face.
Yves Saint Laurent's Parisienne is marketed as what a beautiful parisian woman would smell like after a late night rendezvous with a big bouquet of roses. Yup, an orgasm spurred by roses. Ridiculous marketing aside I think Parisienne is actually a pleasant scent. Although it is just an inoffensive vanillic/ berry/lychee scent it still is something that is quite wearable...just don't wear it when you want to make a statement. Perhaps wear it to somewhere were you want to appease others and be liked.
Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her

Imagine a girl who has just showered hastily eating an orange and spilled the juices on her sparsely clothed body. She then runs a mile to the beach where she finally collapses onto the soft sand. She pulls a vanilla pound cake out of her back pack and starts to munch on that. Satiated, she takes a small nap. The vanillic cake crumbs absorb her salty pheromone ridden sweat that has mixed with the sticky orange juice. If you were to smell her body this is what Narciso Rodriguez for her would smell like. Naughty, youthful, sensual, sexy, wrong, confusingly good. In the perfume world this would be known as jail bait. It is all the sexy, forbidden things about youth encapsulated into a little glass perfume bottle. You may be off put by it at first but that is only because you have been trained to dislike salty, sweaty, sweet scents. You probably would much rather prefer a nice girl scent, perhaps an inoffensive floral? But why suppress your inner sexual being. The first step to letting it free is with Narciso Rodriguez for her.
Pros -Definitely hydrating -Not greasy -Yummy coconut scent Cons -formula is too runny Overall: Buy it but I think Alterna's caviar shampoo is better
Pros -Defines -Separates -no clumps -easy to remove cons -no curl whatsoever -not a dark black but a soft one ( I tend to like darker mascaras) -Curved brush can be a little awkward to use at first Overall: beats out the more expensive brands EDIT: Causes dark smudges underneath eyes if worn for too long on humid or hot days. knocking off one lippie.
Pros -Sophisticated -Young but not your average fruity floral -Good for anyone over 18 -Unique -Makes a statement but doesn't shout it through a megaphone Cons -can be a little too 'masculine' for some people's tastes -a little spicy too but this is only due to the top note of bitter orange -powdery dry down overall: classic, timeless, will be saving it for special intimate occasions
