this moistursier gives dry skin enough moisture by providing ceramide to the skin. yes it moisturised, but it gave me hugh pores (seemed like my skin cant breath) and lots of backhead, which i hardly get. then they all disappeared after i stop using the range. very disappointed at the product, even though, its cheap, and packaging was good (it came in a plastic bottle with a pump. oh well....
Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Verite LightLotion Cleanser

i tried this product on the back of my hand at the counter, which normally i shouldnt really judge this product. however, i would really like to comment on it. i went to try this because of the good comments given by reviewers on this site, and luckily, i didnt buy it. b4 i went to estee lauder counter I tried the laura mercier tinted moisturiser on the back of my hand, then i messaged "thoroughly" with this cleanser on the same spot and wiped off with a cotton pad, my hand looked really clean. then it shocked me when i used another tissue to wipe my hand, there were ALOT of tinted moistursier left. i think it did a very poor job on cleaning. So, at the end i bought the MAC everyday lotion cleanser instead. I tried the same thing again with the MAC cleanser and it cleaned very well. May i suggest ppl to try MAC skincare if u hav dry/dehydrated skin. I always thought MAC was only good in their makeup range, but im genuinely suprise at their quality. their studio moisture fix is very good, very light, yet very hydrating even for winter. but should order this from strawberrynet.com, coz its almost 40% cheaper.
my fren who works for lancome recommended this mascara for me, I used to use keracil b4. this one doesnt clump like keracil. its not bad, definitley better than clinique mascara which smudge (lucky got that as sample). this one doesnt smudge, curls a little bit, extend my lashes by 10-15%, not that much, an ordinary mascara can do that too. wat i dun like is the packaging, the lid seem to not screw on tightly, im worry that the mascara will dry faster. since this doesnt volumise, i probably try magxxcil next time. UPDATE: well... this smudge in summer a little or with prolong wear, I really hate smudge mascara, it also irritated my eyes and the mascara gets dry in the tube fast.
lucky i received this as a sample. it makes my face look very white, very un-natural. i agree that its oily, but its good coz i hav dry skin. but this sunscreen feels very sticky on my face.
Once again, this is not enough for my dry skin. i dun think it made any difference to my skin, very ordinary. this is one of the cheaper price product for this brand, i like the packaging, i comes with a pump, easy to use. it sort of create a veil on ur skin, not a very good feeling. with all the other sk2 products, its not enough moisture for countries with very dry climate, that is y i understand sk2 is such a popular product in asia. UPDATE: i tried this when it was in winter, so wasnt anything special. it is now summer, and my skin is oilier, and seem to work well. but i still plan to move on.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Le Grand Curl Waterproof [DISCONTINUED]

this is the most horrible mascara i hav ever used. it clumps terribly and also way too waterproof, i lost at least 4 lashes while i was trying to clean it with my eye makeup remover. i throw it into the bin after used it once. for any1 who want to get a good mascara ( not necessarily waterproof) go for lancome. maybelline and clinique r easy to clean, but they smudge, end up looking like a panda. btw, this mascara doesnt curl for me, but i guess thats becoz i hav thick lashes.
its a very fine cleanser with no fragrance. but definitely too strong for my already fragile skin. Will keep it as a weekly exfoliator, it does a good job on my cloggy days.
originally i bought this for my mum to use, we both hav sensitive skin, but one day i decided to try it too. i put my usual skincare on straight after i used it, and 5 minutes later, my cheeks started to feel really hot, so i looked into the mirror and find my cheeks really red, 10 minutes down the track, it didnt get better, but only hotter and redder. OMG....i had an allergic reaction. so i wash my face with my usual sebamed face wash, and then avene thermal water to calm, then some hydrocortisone cream, then avene skinrecovery cream, hoping my allergic reaction wasnt gonna get any worse. and luckiy, by the next day morning, the my skin was back to normal. im very disappointed, it wasnt a bad cleanser, it smells nice, wasnt drying, and cleaned well. but then i thought avene was suppose to be design for sensitive skin. thank god mum didnt get any allergic reaction to this product, or else it would have been my fault. it's jux too bad....
i think this moisture mask is ok... i dun particularly think its soothing, bcoz the skin recovery cream is VERY soothing in comparison. i dun think its super moistursing, as it sinks in straight away, even though i feel less dry, but still not enough for my super dehydrated skin, but it could b bcoz the air has been very dry lately. ive use it 3 times already. but i will give it a longer try b4 i update this again. price wise, its a pretty cheap moisture mask. ive tried shiseido and clarins moisture mask, and they r more expensive and not as good as this one. they were quite greasy, it felt like they r moisturising by using oil, but avene actually moisturise with water, so no greasy residue felt on my skin. UPDATE: not very effective like every other hydrating mask. think those paper mask does a much better job in hydrating than any of the wash off ones. Will not even purchase any wash off hydrating mask ever again.
i actually dunno how to rate this product. ive only been using it for 3 days, but so far ive found it very hydrating (none of the creams that ive tried gave me that feeling b4), not oily, light (even though its a cream). i can feel very deep inside my skin is very hydrated (they said it works from inside out). however, i still feel very dry on the outside. this is my first sk2 product, i havent use the whole line, but would like to. i guess this product was design to use in conjunction with the essence and sign treatment. i would say this is a really good product for normal and oily skin. dry skin is much better off to use in conjunction with other creams. this cream absrobs very fast with no greasy feeling, and the hydrating effect starts after 15min on the face, and almost immediately ur skin gets really soft, and ive never had that soft skin ever, and i think i have very soft skin already. anyway.... im gonna purchase the essence and sign treatment and probably the lift emulsion. i will give an update a month later to see if theres any improvement to my skin. but ive got to say this brand is so tempting.... UPDATE: its been awhile since i used this product, i need to agree that this product is probably the most hydrating product for dry skin. with this price vs quality, ive got to say im very disappointed with sk2. I dun think its for very dry skin. i bought the facial treatment essence, sign treatment, and lift emulsion, and i used them layer in layer, with 4 layers of product i still feel really dry. other than that, i did see improvement in smoothing the surface of my skin (ie pores slightly smaller too), but it does poorly in long term hydration in winter. all in all, not for very dry skin, definitely not for countries with very dry climate. I got abit sunburn aswell, doesnt even feels like it's SPF15
LOVE HABA makeup, they have the best color, yet in a small refill size, so i can finish them. especially love #301, its an orange tone blush, gives u a healthy glow on ur checks. only costs AUST$12, even cheaper than Red earth, and 10X better quality. I dun think i will need to buy expensive makeup like lancome, I paid $60 for the blush and only used 5% of it for 2 yrs. with the HABA refill size, i dun have to waste any and $60 i can buy 5 different colours instead.
I bought 82 and 72 refill. I love HABA eye colors, the colours are very nice, it lasts long, very powdery, easy application. really great, i LOVE them!! I especial love the refills, they are small, so then i can actually finish them.
HABA makeup are not bad.. this powder doesnt dry my skin at all, it gives u a medium coverage and looks very natural on ur skin. it also lasts for quite a long time, i only sometimes reapply once on a very hot day. highly recommended ppl with dry skin and want to use powder foundation.
No, i will definitely not buy this product again. this oil-like squalene clog pores, made me breakout, doesnt moisturise that much too. I guess this is good for normal/slightly dry skin. moisturisation lasts for 5-6 hours, but they dun really saturate into ur skin, like wat i said with the umi no houseki, u can see fine lines after a few hours upon application, so they dun really deeply moisturise. These days i only use it on my hair.
same with the white lady!!! it does whiten and even out skin tone. the only differences between the 2 are that UV lotion has less vitamin c, and is less moisturising than white lady. this one feel even more like water.
