Treatments (Eye) -Avon - Advanced Eye Perfector with Peptides [DISCONTINUED]

I used this product in the morning and the hydrofirming eye cream at night, until recently when I ran out of the hydrofirming and started using this both morning and night. It is ok, but the hydrofirming is so much more hydrating. This tends to feel sticky and definitely doesn't leave my eyes feeling as nourished as some other eye products I have used.

This is a pretty good cream. It is very rich and doesn't leave a sticky feel around the eyes. I had no problems with it at all. If you catch it when it goes on sale it is an amazing price.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Spa Wisdom Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil

This is a nice oil. It smells like gardenia. It is great for dry skin and the scent isn't overpowering. A bottle of this also lasts a really long time. I used it as a pre shampoo treatment, but I didn't notice much of a difference. It also seems to smell weird in my hair. I don't use it in my hair at all anymore.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
rated 5 of 5
sugarlumples 10/14/2007 12:15:00 PM

I tried this for the first time last summer as both a facial and body moisturizer. It wasn't the best fit as a facial moisturizer for me, but I adore it as a body moisturizer. It absorbs quickly, has no strange smell, and a bottle lasts a really long time. I also tried it in my hair, but my hair is so fine that it didn't work well, even in the smallest amounts. Overall, jojoba oil is a great and very versatile oil.

Accessories -Bath and Body Works - Wallflowers Wall Plug Home Fragrance
rated 5 of 5

I love my Wallflowers. It is a borderline obsession. I have tons of different smells to go along with different seasons. I always stock up during semi annuals, so the prices for both the starter and refill kits are very reasonable. Each flower lasts about 6 weeks. My favorite is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. I love anything pumpkin scented and this fragrance is my absolute favorite of any brand of pumpkin. It is just as the name describes, very sweet cinnamony with a lovely pumpkin scent. Like pumpkin pie. This is my staple fall home fragrance. Warm vanilla sugar is another lovely scent. I think I actually like it better as a home fragrance than I do for a body fragrance. I use this scent in late winter/early spring usually. Gardenia is my favorite summer scent. It is light and floral. Kitchen Spice is probably my least favorite so far. I thought it would be more of a spicey mix, like when you open your spice cabinet and all the wonderful smells mixed together hit you. Instead, it is a bit sickly sweet. I don't think I'll repurchase this scent again. I have also recently purchased Cinnamon Stick and I have high hopes for it! I am going to plug it in December. I love a good true cinnamon scent for the Holidays.

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula

This is my HG winter lotion. I use the unscented version, so the scent is not an issue for me. The product is very thick and does a wonderful job moisturizing. My skin always feels very soft when I use this product. I go through gallons of it during the cooler months.

Shampoo -Nature's Gate - Herbal Hair Shampoo
rated 1 of 5

The smell, oh my god the smell. It is horrible. I hate anything with a strong "earthy" scent and this screams musky grossness. I have no idea if it works well because the smell was so strong and disgusting I stopped using it after two days. Also, I ordered it online and the bottles leaked during shipment three times. So, three times the package had to be sent back and reshipped before I ever even received it. The packaging quality is awful.

Conditioner -Jason Natural Cosmetics - extra rich biotin conditioner
rated 2 of 5
sugarlumples 10/14/2007 11:42:00 AM

I can't say I was a fan of this shampoo and conditioner. It has minty sort of smell, which wasn't bad but definitely not my favorite hair care scent. It made my fine hair very limp and dull. I didn't even make halfway through a bottle before I gave up on it. I was not even remotely impressed. I didn't bother to try the conditioner with a different shampoo because the smell was not very pleasant.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
rated 3 of 5
sugarlumples 9/15/2007 7:13:00 PM

I have tried matte, semi-matte, and intensive formulas of the foundation and this came in third for me. My skin can get pretty shiny so matte was the best fit for my skin type. Intensive is very similar to matte to me. Semi-matte just seemed more shiny and didn't seem to hold the shinies at bay for as long. This would be perfect for someone with drier skin.

I have tried matte, semi-matte, and intensive foundation formulas and this comes in second place. My skin can get pretty shiny so matte is just a better fit for me. I do like the intensive foundation though. There really isn't a huge difference between matte and intensive formulas to me.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush
rated 5 of 5

I love this brush so much. It is extremely soft. I actually use this to apply the Silk Dust powder and it does a great job. I got it in a kit so it was very reasonably priced.

I think this is a nice kabuki. It is much softer than my old brush and it blends the foundation well. I like this and the flat top brush a lot.

I have cool fair skin tone and I think this color looks lovely when it is paired with another color. It use it just on the bottom of my eye lid (not even all the way to the crease) and then I layer it with Hot Chocolate or Sunset Voyage. It looks nice and subtle and really makes my blue eyes pop.
