Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture SPF 35
sam23 10/30/2011 5:38:00 PM
I liked this stuff at first, it sounded good for me because I like to moisturize and I recently procured a scar on my face so I need spf to put on it and I need oil free because my forehead is extremely oily. But I was using tiny dabs of this stuff until the last two nights/days I used more for various reasons, just starting to look dry cause it's winter and all and yesturday I was pealing in a couple spots. which of course I assumed was dryness so I used even MORE of this stuff. very bad idea indeed because this morning I woke up all read and pealy! :( I must be allergic to it or something so for that reason I gave it a very low rating and would not buy it again. Also, just so we're clear, I didn't feel very moisturized after using it like I have with other moisturizers. so it also wasn't exactly performing.
Blush -E.L.F. - All Over Color Stick in Golden Peach
sam23 10/15/2011 10:33:00 PM
I wasn't really a fan of this. It has a weird smell, I don't mind it but I definitely feel like some people would be repulsed by it just because it's not very subtle. it sort of smells like carmex or something extremely fruity. I would buy it again, but not in golden peach because I'm not a fan of the color. It's very bronzer-ish to me and on my skin, my cheeks/face in general is kind of pink tinted which is uncommon. so I don't so much like the results this gives me but I would definitely try another color cause it's pretty creamy, has a convenient applicator and who can argue with $1?
I love this brush! it hasn't shed a single hair since I bought it several months ago, perfect shape and length of the bristles, decently soft. No complaints at all about this product!
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]

My opinion of this has reversed completely since the first time I wrote this review. I really like this lipstick, it's very creamy and somewhat moisturizing, it's perfect for a subtle natural looking lip to go with dramatic eye makeup. I think it lasts pretty decently.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Matte Lipstick in 901B Think Pink

Love it. I love everything in the wet'n'wild brand. You just can't leave a customer unhappy when you charge as little as they do. I just got this lipstick in "think pink" today, I already had "just peachy" which I also love and they are very close in color, just peachy is more corally though. I love it, it's a nice, pretty, subtle lip color. It's very pigmented, not too drying, no essential flaws and for $2.99 I'm pretty darn happy with it.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Matte 903C Just Peachy

I really like the color, it's a pretty, subtle almost nude pink on me and goes well if you have pink undertones in your skin, as I do. I would definitely recommend it if you want a pretty, inexpensive everyday lipstick which is why I bought it. it's nice and creamy, doesn't seem too drying even though it's a matte lip. my one complaint is that, as I think I've seen others have said, it doesn't wind all the way down into the tube so you could easily skim the lipstick part if you're not paying attention when you put it away.
Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - FastDry - Everybody Loves Redmond

I'm loving the retro candy apple red type color, it's even prettier than in pics I've seen beforehand. dries relatively quickly. I'm just waiting now to see if it'll chip like mad right away the way the black I bought in wet n wild brand did, but at 99 cents, I'm ok with a little maintenance! I would definitely recommend this as an affordable polish to anyone seeking a pretty bright red nail polish!
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Magalast Retractable Eyeliner

The only reason i probably won't try this again is because it didn't do exactly what I wanted and I'm a perfectionist. It's not quite as pigmented/creamy as I would like, but I'm not too disappointed since it was $2 and it'll make a nice fall back liner when I run out of the good stuff. the search for a nice black liner continues!
I really like manic panic, I've used pillarbox red and rock'n'roll red so far and both colors have turned out nicely. They don't last that long but I don't mind that, I usually get a solid 2 weeks with a vibrant color and it just dulls more and more for a month or so after that. I have never had one that had a soupy consistency, the ones I've tried were more like lotiony consistency. I definitely recommend only using this if you have several old already stained towels you can use while it's washing out (or black towels) because it does bleed after each wash. but I never bleach beforehand and I always get a pretty red color out of it so I like it. I'm going to try black soon as well. I just wish it was a smidge cheaper.
I love the red-orange color, it's very retro which is definitely my style! it's very pigmented though which I find hard to pull off in a day look. it's somewhat moisturizing. overall I think it's a really nice lippie but as for the color, I prefer my colorburst nude. If you're looking for a more subtle version of the same shade, try the colorburst lip butter in tutti frutti
Eyeliner -Avon - Satin Gel Eye Liner - Black Pearl

manipulating the little brush is kind of a pain in the butt, but once you get the hang of it, you can scoop a good portion of eyeliner from the pot and make really thin lines. It also works good to do the little cat eye swoop in the outer corner if you're feeling retro.
Concealers -mark - good riddance hook up concealer (all)
sam23 6/2/2011 6:03:00 PM
I too have tried many concealers and foundations used as concealer and this was the best. I tried wet n wild powder which very easily smudged and needed to be redone in a matter of hours, and color matte mouse which also smudged and didn't come in any shade that matched my skin tone. I love these concealer sticks because they come in just the right shade for my skin tone and cover my under-eye circles flawlessly!
Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color Eyeshadow Quad - ALL SHADES
sam23 6/2/2011 6:00:00 PM
I love these, I have several of them, in purples and two different brown/green color schemes. They come with really pretty colors and I actually like the pigmentation they give. I really like the two different quads I have with different earthy neutrals because they both have a really nice brown that goes well with my green eyes and one of them has a dark purple that accentuates my eyes and the other has a good green. I say good green because it seems like eye shadows are often really light minty green or they have blue undertones and my eyes have gold undertones so Prefer those.
This polish is not my favorite but it's workable and comes in a great variety of awesome colors. As others have said, it chips very quickly! But I also dislike the necessity of applying multiple coats since it's not very pigmented. It's a half way decent product but I'm certainly not loyal to this particular brand.
I got this on sale at walgreens for 69cents. I was buying lipstick and noticed the polish was on sale so I figured I'd try another brand! I had been using two others but both of the other two chipped right away and required multiple coats. I love this polish so far because it went on in one even coat! and it was so darn cheap! Can't go wrong with that price.
