Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
pretiiandroid 9/25/2008 9:26:00 PM
Out of all the mascara I have tried this has been my favorite! I usually stay away from the traditional brushes because of clumping and I just feel that they don't work very well in general, but this mascara proved me wrong. It gives a lot of length and volume without much clumping at all. I have pretty thin eyelashes and this makes them look awesome. It does seem to dry out pretty quickly. This one should be the #1 mascara, not Great Lash!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

I don't know why this is always voted "best mascara ever" because it doesn't really do anything unless you really pile it on! It hardly gives any length and pretty much NO volume. If you're looking for a cheap mascara with no flashiness, go with this. I guess you could consider it the "practical, no-fuss mascara." On a more positive note, that ghastly pink and lime-green bottle is fabulous! It's my favorite part!

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Powder ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
pretiiandroid 9/24/2008 9:51:00 PM
I thought this powder was pretty crummy. There aren't very many color choices. My skin is kind of in between tones and the medium looked ridiculously dark so I went with the light which didn't work very well. I didn't like the feel of it and the powder itself was very...delicate. It dusted all over even with a soft brush. It also seemed to just like sit on my skin for a while before it quit looking so dusty. It did come with a nice dense sponge even though I don't use the sponge. I thought the packaging was cool but inconvenient. Who wants the mirror to be somewhere that powder is going to collect and the sponge has to sit?! The only reason I bought it was because it was cheap and thought it would be a decent powder. Mistake!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control
pretiiandroid 9/24/2008 9:42:00 PM
I didn't like this because it doesn't seem to exfoliate very much at all and it doesn't make my face feel very clean, more sticky. I don't think that it helped with blackheads. I think the plain old apricot scrub works the best.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub

I love this stuff and buy it quite frequently! It isn't harsh on my skin at all and makes it feel very smooth and clean. The smell is nice and soft. I just wish that there weren't so many variations of it because it gets a bit confusing. Like last time I accidentally bought the renew & firm... but it seems to be the exact same thing, save a few chemicals that I didn't really want. Anyway, good stuff, definitely a skincare mainstay.

Moisturizers -Ponds - Dry Skin Cream

This was too greasy. It would be okay for use as a night cream. The smell is a bit strong. It would be really awesome if it were not so greasy!

Cleansers -St. Ives - Make-up Remover & Facial Cleanser with soothing chamomile
pretiiandroid 9/24/2008 9:27:00 PM
I usually like St. Ives but with this product the best part is the smell! It does not take eye makeup off at all. It seems to get rid of the foundation/powder though. It doesn't lather and has the consistency of cold cream. It leaves my face feeling sticky, not clean. Besides the smell, the only other positive is that it hasn't made my face break-out... oh, and the fact that it was cheap so I didn't waste too much money on it.

Moisturizers -St. Ives - Collagen-Elastin Essential Moisturizer

I really like this moisturizer. It absorbs really quickly and doesn't leave my face feeling greasy at all. I also tend to have dry skin and this moisturizes just enough. Hasn't caused my face to break-out. I love the smell! It's nice and light so wearing it under makeup isn't an issue. The price is pretty darn good considering the size of the jar. I do wish that it had SPF though!

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Large Eye Shadow Brush
pretiiandroid 9/24/2008 9:13:00 PM
I have always used small eyeshadow brushes and decided to try a big one so I went with this Sonia Kashuk (it's the black handled one). I love this brush! It makes eyeshadow application very very easy and fast. And it works really great for softening/smoking your eyeliner and blending in general. It has not lost one hair and the fact that the bristles are so tightly packed keeps shadow from dusting. A good product but the price, in my opinion, is a bit steep for a shadow brush. If I were to lose it I would probably buy it again if I couldn't find a just as good alternative.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Travel Kabuki Brush

This is the first and most expensive powder brush I have bought. I love it except that the casing is a little weak. My dad had to fix mine because the retractable part was stuck down. And on the same note, I find it a bit difficult to clean also because of the retractable parts. Anyway, it's nice because you can take it with you without worrying about hairs getting ripped out or bent or dirty, it's nice, soft, and fluffy... and doesn't beat up my powders! I have read many reviews that say it sheds a lot but mine hasn't seemed to have lost very many hairs at all. Over all, I think it's a good product that should last for a long while.

Cleansers -Olay - Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash
pretiiandroid 9/24/2008 8:24:00 PM
This is the best cleanser I have used. It gets all the makeup off, even the water-proof stuff. I think it improved my skins smoothness and it did seem to help prevent break-outs. I have slightly sensitive skin and it was pretty gentle; it can be a bit drying but you're supposed to moisturize afterwards anyway so it's good.
