I bought this product because of the rave reviews in magazines. I didn't expect it to be waterproof because I don't use waterproof, but what I got was a runny mess before the end of the day. Fortunately, one of my friends swears by it, so it went to her.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

Great for someone with dry skin. However, I have combination acne skin and it felt like it left a film even when washed off. I'm an Esthetician, and wouldn't recommend this to clients unless they wanted something that provided extra moisture. Plus, with no lather, it's hard to determine it's cleansing abilities.

Eye Shadow -Avon - Eyeshadow duos

I used these years ago. They have wonderful colours but the shadow itself is too soft and certain colours tend to cause my eyes to have a strange allergic reaction. Considering Avon's longevity and popularity, it's surprising that these shadows are not of better quality.

Loose Powders -Physicians Formula - Retro Glow Shimmer Puff - Victoriana

Fun stuff! This puff comes with built-in shimmer powder. It is a light fine powder that can go over your regular completed makeup. Since the puff dispenses the powder, one can use a little or a lot. Also, it doesn't get all over clothes like some glittery products do. Great for a night out or a little extra fancy glow during the day.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 266 Thin Small Angle (Synthetic hair)

I've had this brush for 2 years and I use it every day. It's my all-time favourite makeup tool and all other eyeliner brushes pale in comparison. It's pricey, but the proper tools do make for the most precise makeup application.

Wonderful every day fragrance for work or weekend. I first tried it a little over a year ago and was instantly hooked. I bought it at Christmas, so the promotion included shower gel and body lotion, which were both heavenly. I alternate this fragrance with my other favourite, and am about to buy a new bottle because I ran out. Fruity, feminine and elegant. My boyfriend loves it on me.

I first sampled this wonderful fragrance when it came tucked into my credit card bill. It was so wonderful that I immediately bought a bottle. That was 8 years ago. It's become one of my signature fragrances, and I've bought it again and again because I've run out. It has delectable sandlewood and vanilla notes, and I never tire of it. It is a stronger fragrance, so a little does go a long way. It also tends to last all day and only needs the slightest reapplication if I'm going out at night. I'd strongly recommend this fragrance to anyone who likes sandlewood and vanilla. Note: the body lotion can be a bit overpowering. If you work in an office with "scent-sensitive" individuals, the spray is your best bet.
