Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Emporio Armani Diamonds

This is a very pretty floral gourmand. On me it is creamy amber, raspberry, vanilla and a beautiful cedar note. This is light-hearted, young and seems playful and foxy. Even tho, it's geared to the younger crowd, it's not boring at all and the notes are well-balenced. It isn't cheap smelling at all. The lasting power is quite good too. To me Diamonds is all about a laid back, carefree and casual lifestyle. It's perfect for times where you just want to smell pretty, feminine and fuss free. The bottle and the color of the fragrance go perfectly with the personality of Diamonds. The bottle is faceted and sparkling just like the sparkling floral gourmand held within.
Fragrances -Vivienne Westwood - Boudoir Sin Garden

Boudoir Sin Garden was developed by perfumer Marie Salamagne. I've read that it was inspired by English country house gardens. The notes are listed as freesia, pink pepper, aldehydes, violet, heliotrope, Florentine sword lily, amber, sandalwood, oakmoss and musk. The ad says it's supposed to be warm, aristocratic and magnetic. On my skin the violet, lily and lightly musky oakmoss are the predominant notes. It really does make me think of an airy cottage garden. It really is a very feminine and airy fragrance. It's very light and nonoffensive (nothing like the the original Boudoir). The original Boudoir was magnetic & aristocratic. Boudoir Sin Garden isn't what I'd call warm, aristocratic or magnetic. I'd call it cool, white and innocent. It isn't very long lasting on me at all. Perhaps 2 hours, tops. It doesn't have any sillage at all on me. I have to plaster my nose to the crook of my arm to smell it. How can a scent be magnetic when others cannot smell it at all? Perhaps if you wore it in the Spring or Summer when your skin was warmer it would rise a bit better. I'm wearing it on a frigid February day, so that could explain it. Overall, Boudoir Sin Garden is not a bad scent, but it's one that's not for me. I was hoping for a more heady floral that lasted longer. I'm sure many ladies might like it tho. It's definitely worth a try. Perhaps I will revisit it this spring.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - With Love by Hilary Duff

My rating is a solid 3.5 lippies. I was suprised by this one. It was really nice. It's definitely NOT a fruity floral. It's a warm oriental. The base is a blend of very light mossy woods. It has a very light pretty milky amber note that is infused with bubbly florals. If spiced champagne had a smell this would be it!I really like it. It was developed by perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Stephen Nilsen. The notes as listed by Duff include: mangosteen fruit, exotic spices, chai latte, mangosteen blossom, cocobolo wood, balsam, incense, amber milk and amber musk. My only gripe with this one is that, on my skin the lasting power is horrid! It only lasts 10-20 minutes if that long. It seems to last much longer on fabric tho. If the lasting power were better I'd have given this a solid 4 or 5.
On me this smells a lot like an acidic flowery linen. It's nice after it dries down, but not my cup of tea. It never really develops fully on my skin.
Actually, I give this fragrance a 3.5. On my skin it's exactly what the name says- PURE VANILLA! I like this one alot. It lies close to the skin, it's very warm and comforting. It never changes from opening to closing on my skin. It's like coming home from a hard day of work and slipping into your favorite thick cotton pajamas and your cozy fuzzy slippers! It's very long lasting too. I might just buy a bottle.

While I LOVE Fantasy, I'm not liking this one at all. It has a very nasty fruity beer note. It does have a light promising floral and amber base, but on me the fruity beer overwhelms the nice florals. My husband thought it smelled too juvenile. I'll stick to my beloved Fantasy!
Lips -Laura Mercier - Lip Evolution of Colour in Rosebud

The previous reviewer did an excellent job of describing the colors & the uses, so I won't go into that again. I do like the colors here and they look good on. The packaging is sturdy, which I like too. My gripes with this product are as follows: The lasting power of these lip colors are pretty fleeting considering the price, in my opinion. Also, the mini brush isn't very good. When I use the brush the bristles come out on my lips and they are fine and hard to see. They end up getting in your teeth and mouth...arghhh! You could use your own brush, but you should be able to use the one that came with the product! I like this Laura Mercier product, but I wouldn't repurchase it again.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Brown Sugar and Fig Body Butter

My boss had it and it smelled so great on her, that I had to ask what it was. I promptly bought some on Ebay. Just wonderful. It's warm, ambery, sweet, but not too tart. Just a bit of warmly sweet fig. It's very long lasting and has great sillage. Smells good enough to eat. Hubbie likes it too.

I absolutely love the Body Butter in this scent. My boss had it and it smelled so great on her, that I had to ask what it was. I promptly bought some on Ebay. Just wonderful. It's warm, ambery, sweet, but not too tart. Just a bit of warmly sweet fig. Smells good enough to eat. Hubbie likes it too.
Well, on my skin I get mostly pear and very heady roses and helitrope. I do get a very slight aquatic feel too. My husband HATES this one, he said it smells like a locker room. So, I probably will not be wearing it much. It actually makes stationary smell fabulous, so I will probably use mine to scent my writing papers. The lasting power is incredible too. It does have a kind of cheap fruity rose tone to it, but I still cannot stop smelling it!! Not bad at all, but, I wouldn't repurchase.
Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella Sheer Eau De Toilette

I have the Stella Sheer EDP (in the deep purple bottle). This is a bit of a frosty take on the original Stella fragrance. It's a fresh, soft floral. It has notes of wet, cool Bulgarian roses and rose absolute warmed with sensual spicy amber. It seems to last a moderate time on my skin about 4-6 hours. It's one I like, but probably won't wear too much. It is a modern scent, that could easily been worn to the office or for everyday. My husband doesn't like it, he said it smelled like something Sasquatch's girlfriend would wear!!
I'm not someone who uses many scrubs, but this one is awesome! Sugar is the 1st ingredient. It smells great, and does very gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it softly coconut scented. It's packaged in a plastic tub and has a ton of product. It takes very little product, so it will last forever. Love it!
Hair -Asquith & Somerset - Moisturising shampoo, coconut cream
takemyhusbandplz 1/21/2008 8:11:00 PM
I was hoping for a little more coconut scent. My hair didn't retain any of of the coconut scent. I couldn't find the matching conditioner, so that might have something to do with it. I also didn't get the super moisturizing effects. This isn't bad, but I don't think it's my cup of tea and not for my hair type. I have super baby fine hair, long & wavy.
This scent isn't bad, but I don't care for it. I'm not a fan of Ozonic fresh fragrances,(which Hawaiian Surf is). If you're a fan of very fresh Ozonic fragrances you will definitely like this one. It does remind me a bit of a salty & brisk ocean breeze.
Mesmerize is a pretty floral aldehyde fragrance. Some of the notes include coriander, iris, orris, rose, jasmine and sandelwood. It takes about 10 minutes before the true beauty of Mesmerize develops on the skin. It's a rich, powdery and classic fragrance. It reminds me a little of Je Reviens, but I like Mesmerize better. Mesmerize is a very classic type of fragrance (which many might think is too old-fashioned). I really enjoy Mesmerize and it's very long lasting too. Mesmerize is similar to Je Reviens, Hermes Amazone and Coty's Emeraude, but it's uniquely different and in my opinion better than them. It seems to be discontinued and Avon brings it back once in awhile.
