I'm seconding the "are all of you nuts?!" reviews. you HAVE TO use this wet, if you don't like using shadows wet do not buy it. But it's so beautiful and pigmented if you wet your brush first. Also, the big glitters are an overspray but it's still VERY shimmery underneath. If you look at the pics on the milani cosmetics website, they also show that the glitters are an overspray.
Love it! I got this for valentines day and my SO has good taste :) it smells wonderful, very very limy/citrusy. I like the fruitier scents so I like this a lot.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

I love it! I just bought it yesterday and it is a VERY satisfying purchase. The first time I put it on I thought: "wow!! this is buttery, I see why they call it lip butter!" It's just delightful. I love the texture, and I love how it has a great color and it's definitely pigmented, but slightly less so than a regular lipstick. It gives me a nice orange red lip that isn't too much for day time. I bought hot coral quite awhile ago but I haven't worn it outside of the house, it's just too bright, too much risk for me but this is perfect, I could wear it anywhere. I will definitely be buying more colors in this lip butter!
My ulta just got in a bunch more Nyx products than they used to have and I perused them because I've always liked the makeup on their website. I've been looking for a foundation for a long time, it's very hard to find one that matches my skin at a reasonable price because I'm pale as a ghost! well I saw they had testers of this foundation at the store so I tried out 01 on my hand, and it matched so perfectly and the price was reasonable, I bought it! it's great so far, it matches me perfect, gives great semi-sheer coverage just to even out my skin! It's a tad bit yellowish compared to my skin but I'm super pink naturally so Iike getting a clear canvas to put blush/bronzer on. It does have a very dewy finish which is nice if you have dry skin, but most of my face is quite oily so I like to set it with my mac powder.
Eye Shadow -Milani - Milani Eye Shadow Peachy Peach

I bought this while on vacation because it looked so pretty on the shelf at cvs. Now I know I over-payed! oops. It was 7.79 on my receipt from a cvs in florida but it's only about $5 here in MN at target. It was still worth it though, it's super pretty, this would look awesome on darker skin! It gives my eyes just a pop of light though, sometimes I like just a natural looking, sparkly-shimmery eye. I really like it, I want to try more colors by Milani.
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
sam23 4/19/2012 10:59:00 PM
this is a great bronzer! I usually find founations and bronzers way too orange for my skin because I'm very very pink toned, but this one works well if I use a broad brush and blend it well. It gives a really nice tan/ contoured look. It has good staying power whether you have anything on under it or not. I would buy it again.
Polishes -Essie - Turquoise & Caicos (Resort 2010)

it's a great color! I love the color and thus far I haven't noticed any chipping. I'd say it's worth $8, just for the color and it takes so long to chip. But, you do have to wait quite a while before it's fully dry so use it right before you watch a movie.
Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light

This is definitely more of a setting powder than an independent foundation powder, it isn't very pigmented. I like really light coverage but I'm gonna have to find a nice primer or moisturizer to put on first because this doesn't cover anything on it's own. Overall though, I do like it for very sheer under-eye concealer and for reducing the shine on my nose/forehead and it feels nice, it doesn't feel really thick and gross and like my pores are being clogged. It doesn't smell uber talc-ee either which I hate. so I would buy it again, if I find a really good base to put it on.
This is one of my two first ever mac makeup items and I love it! it's very pretty and gives a nice shine and it's really smooth. Nothing to dislike about it. I am very pale though and I have much more warm skin than cool so I'm a little pink and this pink is kind of a cool pink so it looks a tad barbie-ish on me, but I still love it, it's just kind of a funkier look so if you are very pale and more pinkish toned, you'll want to try it on before buying and make sure you like the look. But over all, I'm extremely impressed.
Overall, I like this product. the cap is a little hard to get off because it just has such a tight grip? I don't know but my hands always slide off a couple times before I actually get it open. It is not waterproof as it says. But it is very pigmented, the pen applicator works very nicely, you can get whatever sort of line you want with it. Despite the packaging and non-water resistance I would buy this again because it works and it's only $1 so it's worth it. I don't expect magic for $1. I like this a little less now because after a fairly short time the tip started to splay
amazing! I used it and my eyeshadow looked great! the pigmentation came out like 10 times better than without any primer! I don't know about the staying power because I just got it, but so far it's amazing and for $1 even if it only lasted a few hours, I wouldn't complain. Totally worth your dollar.
Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
sam23 11/10/2011 11:27:00 PM
admittedly, I'm not a very good judge of blush since I haven't ever purchased/used it outside of palettes before I decided to get this. I got it because I heard it looks like Nars orgasm, and also that thebalms hot mama blush looks like nars orgasm, and I love the balm but it's so spendy I thought I'd give this a go, at least to see if I like the shade. Neither one shows up well if you don't have a base of some kind on first but with foundation I really like the blush side, it's such a natural color. The bronzed I use a lot less but I'm just not really into bronzing.
Lip Gloss -TheBalm - Plump Your Pucker in Cocoa my Coconut

I was going to give this a 4 because I'm not one for lipgloss normally so I was hoping it would be like liquid lipstick but of course it's not. But in all fairness, it's not as if they say that's what it is, it's called a tinted lipgloss, so I have to give it props for what it is! It's a nice color, I love the natural look, it doesn't feel TOO thick on, it's pretty darn good for a lipgloss. and it was an awesome deal because I got it for about $20 in a kit with mary lou-manizer, a kabuki brush and nail polish!
this is an awesome luminizer, I just bought it today at tj maxx in a little kit, I paid just under $20 (it includes a lipgloss, nailpolish and kabuki brush) and it was WELL WORTH it. It's a gorgeous color, it's pigmented, it goes on amazingly, it doubles as eye shadow which I like cause some days I just like to swipe something natural but pretty all over my lids and go. It is also pretty much my exact skin tone so if I want I could use it to cover my undereye circles which is great cause it's so bright it'll counteract the darkness. This is my first go at non drug store, non avon/mark makeup and I'm pretty impressed. My favorite part, and the real selling point for me personally is the packaging! It's such a small cosmetic line, I feel like I wouldn't buy it/be willing to pay as much without the retro packaging. It's great though, I love it, now I'm even more set on buying the hot mama blush!
I just got it today, I love love love the color, it's my mlbb. extremely reasonably priced if you wait for a sale, it reminds me a lot of revlons colorburst line because of the pigmentation and overall feel of it. It's just a nice shiny, pigmented, light pink lipstick.
