Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk

If you want a colored eyeshadow [like blue, green, purple etc] to show to true to color then using this as a base will do wonders. Because I stick to neutrals I don't tend to need this as a base. I usually just put this on the inner 3rd of my eye to brighten the area then pat a highlight color on top to set it. Nothing too fancy but this gets the job done. Not too fond of the packaging since you do need to have a sharpener with a big slot. I wished they made these NYX pencils like a twist up kinda thing (like the clinique chubby sticks).

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Bolole Juicy Tubes
rated 2 of 5
mikxoh 7/20/2012 12:32:00 AM

It looks really promising in the tube but noooo. It comes out like clear lipgloss with colored sparkle-flecks all over. For the price you're better off picking something else. The smell is really something weird...ginger mixed with cough syrup. Hallucination is one of my favorite all time juicy tubes and is opaque. Bolole was a let down. I think any juicy tube that looks a bit bright and overly glittery is going to pump out sheer. $18 for a sheer lipgloss? I'll pass.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack_EX
rated 3 of 5

Smells fresh and the packaging is in a really appealing blue color. It comes in a jar with a spatula so just make sure your hands and the utensil is clean to avoid contamination. For someone who has problematic skin its sometimes hard to figure out when it's okay to wear a pack like this since we have to use acne treatments are night as well. When I did use overnight I woke up and it left a slightly tacky residue on my face. I didn't really feel like it made my skin supple/soft like my eucerin cream did. Maybe if you don't have problematic skin and you're just looking for something to perk your skin up this might do the trick. Now it just sits on my vanity looking pretty :x I'll give it another go when my cheeks are feeling dry and report back if anything changes.

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Design in Love It
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 7/20/2012 12:16:00 AM

This is a pretty cute pink with a hint of a berry tone on my complexion. I swear there's a slight blue undertone but don't hold me for it. Lancome lipsticks are on point with the formulation - creamy and smooth. I didn't find it drying like some but just put on some lipbalm and that should solve the problem. A bit expensive since cheaper brands like MAC probably have something similar for less.

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Fever - 212 Wicked Brown
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 7/20/2012 12:11:00 AM

When I hear brown lipsticks it makes me think that I'm still a bit too young to pull off that color. This shade however has enough glitter in it and is more of a reddish brown. Because of the glitter and the tone I can actually pull this off :> I just look more mature and what not compared to my usual pink-nude lipsticks. If you're interested in a brown color this one is a pretty awesome choice.

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Design in Pale Lip

I've got some awesome milky pink lips with this stuff guys. It's not a matte pink, it has a tiny tiny tiny tiny amount of glitter in it. It looks fine on its own but sometimes I top this off with any sort of light lipgloss or even a clear one. It just gives me the perfect milk pink-nude lips! The only con I can think of is the price but that's just being extremely nit-picky. Love this stuff! My go to pink lipstick until otherwise.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

Just like my review for the rose one - thanks for the birthday gift sephora :> Smells so yummy, like lemon cookies. A tad greasy. Packaging is sleek and effective. And it's damn expensive. I'm usually never the stingy one when it comes to cosmetics but this is pushin' it. No wayyy fresh. I ain't handing over $20+ for some average lip balm. My carmex jar will kick fresh lipbalm's butt any day hahaha :>

Thanks for the birthday gift sephora cause I sure as hell wouldn't be dropping $20+ on chapstick HARHARHAR But really this stuff isn't bad...just the price. It gives me such a lovely hint of color but not lovely enough for me to spend $20+ on it. It smells nice & I like how you have to twist to open the cap so it's super secure. Even after all of that I'm still not forking over my money. Sorry fresh, I'm sticking to my carmex, clinique chubby stick and MAC sheen supreme lip goodies.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Max Clarity

To keep it simple - this stuff didn't work for me. I think the idea of a foaming cleanser for people with acne is fine since there shouldn't be any abrasive texture against the face. I used the whole first kit that I got and it didn't do anything. Like others have said here, they'll charge you a ton of $$$ and throw a second kit at you without warning. Just FYI. I think what this system lacks is a good moisturizer to treat acne. Regardless is system was a bust for me.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Studio Matte Lip Color
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 11:31:00 PM

I have this in two colors - natural and coral. I really love both! Just make sure your lips aren't chapped before you apply them on. My favorite way to wear this is topped with a clear sticky lipgloss. The stickiness of the lipgloss really makes it last so much longer throughout the day [I use a tokidoki prisma gloss]. Natural really looks like my natural lip color but better & coral is just a brighter matte shade but still wearable. Both have really good pigmentation and is smooth to apply. Just keep those lips hydrated and this stuff will look picture perfect :>

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Tickled Pink
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 11:19:00 PM

One of the cheapest pink blushes on the market. This one has really good pigmentation and it gives me a cute dolly look. There's really nothing more to say about it. If you're new to blushes go explore ELF's blushes and buy some in various colors since they're $1-$3. Try them all and see which colors work with your skin tone. That's what I did when I was new and I don't regret it. ELF has a very large range to pick and choose from so don't hesitate to try any of their blushes! :> It's a good starting point before committing to any higher end blushes.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush in Candid Coral
rated 3 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 11:13:00 PM

I think if you're really really fair and pale this will perk your skin right up. But I'm not super pale so this works as a highlighter for me. I tried many times to just use this simply as a blush but it was just a lot of shimmer and not any visible color. It's 3 bucks so I don't feel like I was completely jipped but I won't be repurchasing this if I ever run out.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Peachy Keen
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 11:10:00 PM

Out of the four studio blushes I own, this one was the most used and loved. It gave me such a lovely kiss of peach on my cheeks. Pigmentation wasn't that stellar but I was able to layer it until I was happy with the color pay off with no problems. One of the cons is that after a few uses I could see how chunky this blush was - it wasn't very finely milled and chunks of glitter is peeping through the product. Maybe I just got a weird batch but that's okay. It still worked for me and for the price I can't complain. I wouldn't repurchase this only because I discovered my HG peachy blush - springsheen from MAC.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Blushing Rose
rated 3 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 11:04:00 PM

It's a much cheaper version of NARS dolce vita in my opinion or at least on my face. pigmentation is alright - it's not as pigmented as dolce vita [for that blush you have to have a super light hand or risk looking weird] it's easily to layer the color to your preferred intensity but there is almost too much glitter in this one for my liking. It's not an unbearable amount of glitter but just my preference. If I'm in need of a berry color then I'll use it.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 3 of 5
mikxoh 7/19/2012 10:43:00 PM

Smart move for urban decay to change their packaging (&pull out from the whole China deal). Anyway, this product is nothing short of awesome. Eyeshadows become bold, even cheap drugstore chalky ones are able to look decent with this guy on their team. My oily lids aren’t even an issue with this primer. It is expensive and I believe you’ll get more for your money if you invest in the biggest tube (the “professional size”). That runs for about $30 but it’s less money per ounce than the $20 one. It’s worth buying if you have some sort of discount from Macy’s as well.
