Blush -MAC - Fun & Games - Hello Kitty [DISCONTINUED]
kewlhat 8/11/2009 12:42:00 PM
For reference, I am NW25 in MAC SFF foundation. Fun & Games is packed really tight... as in, when you rub your brush over the top, no powder comes off in a big whiff like some blushes do. I have to really pack it on for it to show up on me, too. That being said, once I pack it on, it looks beautiful! It's very gentle and subtle on me. I don't think I'll ever run out, but I may try to pick it up at the CCO when it finally makes it there.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
kewlhat 8/5/2009 3:30:00 PM
Even with multiple coats, I couldn't tell that I was wearing any mascara. I don't know if it's because the product isn't think enough or if the brush just doesn't grab my lashes. The brush does seem to be a large part of it... the design of it just makes it so that it doesn't grab my lashes at all.

Moisturizers -Cosmedicine - Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion
kewlhat 8/5/2009 1:17:00 PM
This is a difficult product to review. It works better than all of the mattifying products I've tried thus far. That being said, it doesn't work the way I hear it works for everyone else. Either it does not work with what makeup products I layer over it, or my skin is just THAT oily. I know I have quite an oily t-zone but I also know that it is not uncontrollably oily. Medi-Matte works for a few hours, but by noon I have to use a blotting powder. Bottom line: it works better than if I didn't wear it, but it still does not completely work for me either. I will probably keep buying it until I find something that works better.

Powders -MAC - Warm Blend
kewlhat 8/5/2009 1:09:00 PM
I actually purchased this with the intent of using as eyeshadow. I use either of the two lightest shades as an all over lid color and the deepest brown shade as a crease/outer shade. It's actually quite nice. The medium shimmery bronze color actually reminds me of a sheerer Tempting (sheerer obviously because this is a MSF). I have never tried this as a face color, because I imagine that it'd probably be too dark for my NW25 skin tone, but I may try it one day.

Lipstick -MAC - Patisserie
kewlhat 8/5/2009 10:32:00 AM
I read so many reviews telling me not to buy this; that it wasn't pigmented and that it wasn't worth it. Well, I held off for a while before finally giving in... I had wanted it ever since I saw the swatches. If you're someone who likes nude-pink lip colors, definitely get this. It's beautiful. My lips are really pigmented and Patisserie goes on nicely.

Blush -MAC - Strada
kewlhat 8/5/2009 10:21:00 AM
I use this every day. It makes contouring extremely easy since it is a light shade of almost a clay-brown with a tinge of pink. It is very subtle which makes it hard to mess up while using. It has been discontinued, but I picked up two backups at a CCO, so go get it while you can!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Brunette Degradé (Brunette Blonde Redhead)
kewlhat 8/5/2009 9:31:00 AM
I was in denial about this for a really long time. I bought Redhead and Blonde and didn't even think about getting Brunette. Neither R or B worked out for me and I fiiinally decided to get Brunette. True to its name it works for me! It doesn't look very pretty in the pan but it looks really great on my NW25 (in MAC foundation) skin tone. I would repurchase this, but I don't think I'll need to.

Lipstick -Lancome - Color Fever Shine -- Pixel Pink
kewlhat 8/5/2009 9:08:00 AM
I bought two of these on ebay after reading raving reviews about it. It's gorgeous! It is not as sheer on me as it appears to be on most everyone else. I have very pigmented lips, though, so maybe that's why. It shows up as a berry pink on my lips. It is not overpowering. It looks like I just drank/ate something that stained my lips... it's not a light stain, but it's not super dark either. I am a NW25 in MAC SFF foundation and it looks very pretty and flatters my skin tone. The reviews make it sound like it flatters almost any skin tone, which I can see. It's still on ebay for $25... which is the retail price, so grab it while you can! I'm glad I got a back up!

Lipstick -Urban Decay - Naked
kewlhat 7/28/2009 11:19:00 AM
I love this color! I believe this is the first universally flattering pink color I have found thus far. Absolutely beautiful shade of nude-pink, more on the pink side than the nude side. I'm about to buy another! (for reference I am NW25 in MAC SFF foundation)

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Improvise
kewlhat 7/22/2009 3:12:00 PM
This does not show up on my NW25 (in MAC foundation) skin. It only shows up after I pack it on a lot, which just results in a ton of frost/shimmer.

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Cobalt
kewlhat 7/22/2009 9:35:00 AM
I bought this because it was used in the promo pic for Stila. Upon trying this as an eyeliner I realized that they must have (of course) enhanced the picture, making the eyeliner seem sooo much brighter. It looked like a bright royal blue to me in the picture. I'm not saying that this isn't a nice, dark, shimmery blue eyeliner, but it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

Blush -MAC - Style Demon
kewlhat 7/17/2009 9:20:00 AM
Love this blush! I am NW25 in MAC foundation. I put it on this morning for the first time and thought that I'd over applied, but I realized that it's just that this is more pigmented than the other blushes I own, which is not a bad thing! My cheeks have more color, yes, but it also made me realize that I look good with that much blush on and that apparently other blushes are too sheer for my skin tone. I'm considering purchasing a back-up!

Blush -MAC - Fad-Dabulous
kewlhat 7/16/2009 12:47:00 PM
Love this!!! Really great pink, almost melon-y color. It's absolutely beautiful and out of all the mineralize blushes from Colour Craft, it is the one to have (if you could only have one). Has some sparkle to it, but it is not visible once you put it on your face. Definitely thinking about picking up another one...

Eye Shadow -MAC - Night Manoeuvres
kewlhat 6/10/2009 8:57:00 PM
This e/s is very chalky, and does not blend well. That being said, I do like it a lot as it is a really nice black/brown color. I thought it was quite close in color to Dark Edge (from the Cult of Cherry Tempting quad) but actually it's more of a black-brown, which actually looks really good. I love it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Vibrant Grape
kewlhat 6/10/2009 8:54:00 PM
I have heard many complain about the chalky texture of this e/s. I have to agree that it is a little chalky but it doesn't bother me too much. It does not turn look as bright on as it does in the pan, however, on me at least (MAC NW 25) it turns out to be a nice shade of purple. It is similar in shade to Creme de Violet, but it doesn't have the shimmer aspect. All in all I like it.
