Eyeliner -Milani - Black Magic Liner & Eye Glimmer #01
gimmeglamour 12/11/2007 12:29:00 PM
These liner/eye glimmer pencils are LE IIRC, but they work amazing. I picked up this one to add some finishing touches to my m/u for the work holiday party, and was really impressed. I really didn't expect that much, since I'm not a huge fan of Milani.. but, I really got blown away. There is an eye glimmer on one side, called Sterling Magic, which I guess is purposed to be used all over the eye, but I just used it to line my bottom lashes, and it stayed well all day and looked reallly pretty. I got tons of compliments. As far as the other side called Blackened Sterling, it's your basic black liner. You're really paying for the eye glimmer side, which I would seriously recommend using as a pencil glitter liner. Just lovely, and although I believe it's an LE.. I'm gonna try to snag up the last ones left at the d/s asap.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
gimmeglamour 12/8/2007 10:38:00 AM
When I first started getting into m/u, this was the reason. I never knew how long & thick my lashes could be. I started buying this a few years ago when I worked at a DS, and would constantly be walking customers over to where it was, when they asked what fake lashes I used!! Everytime I'd tell them it was this stuff & they'd be amazed, cause it is a cheaper product. I just apsolutely love it, I've moved on to DiorShow since, but it's the only thing that's beat it IMHO.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
gimmeglamour 12/8/2007 10:34:00 AM
I've been using this for years, and was recommended to use it by my cousin who is a Doctor. What people need to realize is that this is a harsh scrub, IF it is used 2x daily, like most people use their facial cleansers. This is an EXFOLIATOR, not an everyday scrub. It is recommended to exfoliate 2-3 days a week, so for that it is the most inexpensive/affective exfoliating scrub you can buy. It leaves your skin feeling very clean after, and very soft, and smooth. A real HG exfoliator especially for the price. So, the reason for all of the harsh reviews, is because you are not supposed to use this daily.. use it 2 to 3x a week tops. Use something gentler like Cetaphil for everyday use. Anyways, I love this, will continue to buy it, everytime I run out, and it really is a great product, gives your face a nice glow after using, and like I said your face will be feeling super soft & smooth after use. Great for acne prone..

Blush -Revlon - Golden Affair Sculpting Blush - Berry Daring
gimmeglamour 12/8/2007 9:47:00 AM
A friend of mine gave this to me, & at first I quickly assumed that it would be wayy too dark & bright for my NW20 skin.. but, I was wrong. I lightly applied it, & added translucent powder over it & it gave my cheeks a perfect flush. this is the blush that showed me that I could use darker colors & get away with it. I wouldn't go around using this everyday, but it's good for nights out, if paired with the right eye m/u, and even better for all the holiday parties coming up! Plus, how can you not like the pretty casing. Just adorable. Would re-buy, but I'm not going to run out anytime soon, because I don't use it enough, and it's an L/E anyways. But, if you want a pretty d/s blush for the holidays, pick this baby up!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Phloof! (frost; Hollidazzle)
gimmeglamour 12/8/2007 9:43:00 AM
This is probably my favorite MAC e/s I've used yet. It completes every eye look I do, and is so versatile. I love the fact that it isnt so subtle that you can't put it on by itself & go out.. It works for that, because it's such a pretty shimmery color. I mainly use it to highlight under my brows, but I also like to apply it all over, than put whatever color I want in the crease, and finish up by blending a little bit of this color with it, my m/u just comes out looking way more put together with this stuff. It really is an HG shadow, and I adore it!

Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
gimmeglamour 12/8/2007 9:38:00 AM
I usually try to wait atleast 2 weeks before I review something, just to make sure that the review is accurate.. but, it's been one week & I just adore this stuff way too much to wait! I've tried soo many different highlighters, and have constantly had problems getting it to actually show up, or showing up too much & being too glittery/shimmery. After trying this I was soo amazed at how perfect it makes my skin look. It's an off white with gold undertones, and it's absolutely beautiful on the skin. I apply it everywhere I can, and apply a light bronzer over top of it (WNW Acapulco Glow), because it is a white highlighter, and if you use too much, you can look like a ghost, but that's almost hard to do. I apply it lightly over my blush, which helps a ton, especially if I've over applied my blush.. It makes my skin look like it's been airbrushed from a magazine, and I can't even count the compliments I've gotten since using it. This stuff is my HG highlighter, and I pray they never d/c it, I will die.. It's pricey, but def worth it. A must have. Will be buying again & again, even though it will be lasting me forever. For reference, I apply it with my Accent brush made by EOB.

Styling Products -Oscar Blandi - Seta Silk Polishing Cream
gimmeglamour 12/3/2007 11:50:00 AM
Hate to give this a bad review, since there are so many good ones on here already, but I just hated this stuff. I have dry naturally wavy hair, that I blow dry & straighten daily, so my hair can get really dry sometimes. I tried this hoping it would soften it up a bit and make it silky, like it is supposed to.. but, instead it not only made my hair really oily + greasy looking, but it made my hair hard to straighten. It came out wavy & not even my CHI Straightener could fix the mess. I just think it made my hair really unmanagable. There has been 1 time since I bought this that I've actually noticed a positive outcome, and that was after I had completely blow dried and straightened my hair to perfection & applied a little bit, it did make my hair a little bit softer. Obviously this stuff works for some people, just wasn't for me :( Won't be repurchasing..

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Laughter
gimmeglamour 12/2/2007 3:07:00 PM
FINALLY I found my HG blush! I love this.. every blush I try is either too dark & looks like rust on my face, or too light & I can't see it. This was the case with NARS Deep Throat & tons of others. Finally I decided to try this one out at the recommendation of a MA at Sephora, who told me it'd be best for my NW 20 skin tone. I apsolutely love how it flushes my skin & gives me a pretty glow that lasts all day long. Just adore this stuff, & will keep buying!

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Teal
gimmeglamour 11/29/2007 12:44:00 PM
I really like this color, however, I work constantly and don't go out much, and this just doesnt pass at my job. It's a bit too bright for everyday use, but for the holidays I think this is an amazing, really pretty liner. Makes my blue eyes pop, and goes on pretty smoothly. I apply it with the MAC 208 brush, and definately don't recommend the brush that comes with it but any eyeliner angled brush would work well. Only problem would be that it does have a tendency to flake off and get all over the face, but if you apply it right and take your time, than you'll be fine. I always apply translucent powder under my eyes before applying eyeliner so that I can wipe the flakes off. So, the quality is good for DS brand, and the color is really pretty. I'd buy again.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black
gimmeglamour 11/29/2007 12:32:00 PM
At first use I was amazed at how great this stuff works. I used it with my MAC 208 brush, and the line came out perfect, and precise. No smudging, and the color stayed true all day. This slowly replaced my HG Bobbi Brown gel liner, & I found myself opting to use this one instead, of my BB everyday! It is a lot cheaper, so it's definately one of those miracle ds items. I like how I don't have to make a trip to the mall to buy this, but I can just drive right down the street and pick it up from the DS, so it's very conveinent. I gave this only 4 lippies, because recently my eyes have started to become irritated & watery constantly. I don't know if it's from the e/l or the mascara I'm using, but I will be finding out tomorrow when I switch to using my BB for the day, and I'll update on that. But, besides the irritation, this is a great buy, and if the e/l isnt the cause for the irritation, I don't think I'll ever buy BB again.. haha.

Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Acapulco Glow
gimmeglamour 11/20/2007 3:12:00 PM
I really liked this.. I bought it because of another MUAer who told me it would give me the "Hayden Panettiere" glow. Well, it wasn't an miracle worker, but it did give me a great subtle glow, that would be perfect alone for the beach with a nude gloss, or layered for a glowy night look. I love the price ($2.99!), and way it wears, only issue would be the boring packaging, but thats not really an issue when it comes that cheap. A good buy, will repurchase, as long as they keep making it!

Lips -Neutrogena - MoistureShine tinted lip balm in Clean #20
gimmeglamour 11/20/2007 12:30:00 PM
I love this color, because it matches so perfectly to the natural color of my lips. It looks natural, and leaves them feeling really soft. I also like how it blends nicely over the lips rather than sinking into the creases. I'm usually a lip gloss only girl, and never go darker than a light light pink lip, but this has changed me. Love the smell too! Will be repurchasing, and I'll probably be trying the other colors out soon too.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP PIGMENT PROGRESSIVE
gimmeglamour 11/20/2007 12:25:00 PM
This color is great, and easy to apply. I love using it to contour my eyes paired with MAC's Arena color, or any white shadow. It makes my blue eyes pop, and is my 2nd favorite of the pigments. My 1st being Striving. Just love this color, and how easy it is to apply, and how great it looks. Will be buying again :)

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP shocking Shadow Pigment In Striving
gimmeglamour 11/20/2007 12:15:00 PM
I apsolutely adore these new pigments. Especially Striving, which is a teal/emerald color that I adore! I use it in the creases and to contour my eyes. I love how you can layer it to give you a more dramatic color, or to not layer it, for a day at work. It's really a pretty color, and it's a color I just can't live without. I constantly get compliments with it, especially when I pair it with a light matte green. It really makes my blue eyes pop. Works just as well as MAC pigments, but a bit cheaper. It's still expensive for DS, but worth it to me. Just be sure to put translucent powder around the eyes, because the access shadow tends to fall off around the eye, but it doesnt stick if you put the powder around, and brush it off. Will definately be repurchasing <3

Highlighters -Bare Escentuals - Pure Radiance
gimmeglamour 11/19/2007 10:53:00 AM
Love this, I have been looking forever to find something that will give me that "hayden pannetiere" glow, and this did it! I tried Clear Radiance, but it was too pink for me, so I gave this one a try & it's now something I know I won't be able to go without. Loveee it.
