Best coconut fragrance I've sampled to date! This one is so creamy and not as sweet as others. Very, very good. I can actually see myself wearing this one. Notes: coconut, vanilla, vetiver and exotic floral accords.

Incredible black tea and spice opening. It's joined by a milky note that is wonderful too. This is a fantastic gourmand. Top Notes: Cardamom, Ginger, Black Tea Heart Notes: Freesia, Milky Accord, Dried Fruits Base Notes: Cinnamon, Honey, Amber

I am getting such a strange note from this, like Juicy Fruit gum. It doesn't seem nearly as gardenia-like compared to other gardenia fragrances I've been sampling.

Great full gardenia; however, the topnotes are pretty bad. They include that strange mentholated note I get once in a while with gardenia fragrances.

Now this encompasses the essence of a gardenia fragrance. It's full-on gardenia, with just a little edge from the other notes. Bitter orange oil, Clary sage, cyclamen, heliotrope, tuberose, tarragon, violet leaf, gardenia, lily of the valley, jasmine, ylang-ylang, oakmoss, benzoin, sandalwood and musk.

I don't think gardenia has a menthol note in it, and yet I got a big blast of this in the topnotes. Even now, it is standing around a little. This is an okay fragrance, but nowhere near as lush as I like my gardenia fragrances.

The second time I wore this (and put on much more of the fragrance), I could really smell the gardenia. It was a cold gardenia, if that makes sense, which is why they named it "cruel", I guess. I really liked this the second time around. The first time, it seemed like the gardenia was lost in a swirl of other notes.

This one does have a wonderful, creamy gardenia smell, but it's so light! Especially considering the price. I wonder if I'm anosmic to part of it (most?) or if this fragrance is so light, one would have to bath in it to get some sillage. Perhaps this is a gardenia fragrance to wear in the middle of summer? Nevertheless, it deserves a four because it is just so pretty. ETA: Luckyscent describes this as "luminous". Yes, I think that's a pretty good description.

Very pretty white floral mix; gardenia doesn't stand out overwhelmingly. I'm not sure it's that much better or different from several other white floral mix fragrances out there.

Topnotes of dank garden; unpleasant. It's much better once they burn off, but even so, the gardenia doesn't seem very true to life. Not very lush or deep.

Beautiful gardenia. Much better than five other gardenia fragrances also on my arm. At this point, not picking up much from the Jo Malone except the flower, and that's all it needs.

This is a great tea fragrance; too bad it's discontinued. The black tea note isn't as strong as that in CB I Hate Perfume's Russian Caravan Tea. The burst of citrus is especially strong in Jo's fragrance.

I sampled the water perfume version. This fragrance is gorgeous--a mixture of true black tea note and bergamot. No smoke; no dusty books. Lovely. Downgraded from a 5 to a 4 because it's such a light formulation. You have to bath in it to get any sillage.

This is a very nice rose. Could easily wear it. The tangerine isn't overbearing in the topnotes. The true-rose note, without smelling plastic or artificial, is great.

This was pretty good, but there wasn't much oud or persistence to this fragrance. Having said that, I did enjoy that animalistic nature of it and the topnotes quite a bit. This fruit did not go into B&BW territory. Nicely grounded and adult. Notes: Madagascar vanilla, cardamom and blackcurrant; middle notes of Egyptian geranium and Peruvian essences; and base notes of amber and American cedarwood.
