Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush - Candy Coral

See my review for the Dream Bouncy Blush (all colors) for my general view on these. I want to specifically describe the color for this particular review. Candy Coral was the first one I got because it was the closest shade to NARS Orgasm in my opinion. I generally go for that when first trying a blush because it is a foolproof color. This is exactly that minus the gold shimmer - a gorgeous peachy pink. It makes you glow and would work on anyone!
Freakin adore this stuff. I've never been able to get on board with using Vaseline on the lips because the smell of it repulses me. Furthermore, I've never found it to be particularly moisturizing and quite frankly, it's not. But the cocoa butter in this little gem not only allows me to use Vaseline on my lips but it smells delicious. As I said before, I think Vaseline is more of a skin protectant and that's why I adore this stuff. I use a regular lip balm, let it soak in a few minutes, then I top it with this. It adds some oomph to the first lip balm and protects the moisture in the lips. The packaging is sooo cute! Won't be without this. I have one on my desk, one in my purse, one on my nightstand and one in my bathroom.
Treatments -TRESemme - nourishing rituals LIQUID GOLD SHINE THERAPY

AMAZING product. It does what it claims and more. It feels so nourishing and conditioning on your hair. A little goes a long way so a bottle will last forever. So, so impressed with this product. The health and life it brought back to my platinum blonde hair is truly a miracle and the shine, OMG. I had recently been considering changing colors because it was looking so damaged and dull. This has brought back everything I loved about my blonde hair, I changed my mind about changing colors. Such a steal too, at $4
Adore these. For the price, you cannot beat them. I love all the shades too; haven't found a bad one yet. What I like most about these is the texture; slightly thick and long-lasting, yet not sticky. I love the cotton candy scent too, which must be new, because when these initially came out I hated the scent.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eye Studio™ Color Plush™ Silk Eyeshadow

How and why I've lived without these shadows for so long is beyond me. My husband recently bought Smokey Night for me on a recent trip to Wal-Mart since I loved the tutorial emilynoel83 did on it. I'd also been wanting to try these quads anyway, and this was a good excuse. I actually wasn't very impressed with Smokey Night. It seemed to fade. Still, curiosity was killing me because I'd always loved the color selections from this line. So I got on Ulta.com one night and they were having a buy two get one free of Maybelline products so I ordered all of these along with the Color Explosion line. I've used not even half of them and I am in love. All of the quads are incredibly pigmented and blendable. The other thing I've been super impressed with is the colors, they don't always come out to be the colors they seem in the pan, but I've not been disappointed yet. For example, today I am wearing Legendary Lilac. In the pan, they look like a boring purple quad, the two first shades look like they are going to be so sheer that you will need tons of eyeliner to get any definition on your eye. NOT the case. They are all pigmented and this particular palette made my eyes look ethereal. I finished the look with Benefit's Hervana and L'Oreal's Color Riche Balm in Tender Mauve and LOVE the look. I don't think it's possible to be more impressed with these shadows.
Styling Products -Clairol - Herbal Essences Smoothing Serum

I love this stuff. For the price, it kicks ass. Smooths and adds shine, which is all it really needs to do and this does it well.
Treatments -Dove - Style+Care™ Nourishing Dry Ends Serum
dbmiller 8/24/2012 12:49:00 PM
Claims to "smooth frizzy, rough, dry ends. Its lightweight formula deeply nourishes to restore softness and protect from heat styling, for beautifully smooth, healthy-looking hair". It does all this well, but I wish it'd add a little more shine and it'd be a perfect product for me. Would still repurchase.
Styling Products -Clairol - Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Silkening Detangler

Nearly perfect product. Detangles and moisturizes like a dream. Wish it'd smooth a little better. Smells wonderful.
Love this product. Detangles, nourishes, moisturizes and smooths. Does it all well. Would definitely repurchase.
Styling Products -Pantene - Aqua Light Weightless Conditioning Shake

A nearly perfect product. Conditions and helps detangle. Eventually leaves a little buildup but I think nearly any other product would as well.
Styling Products -Clairol - Herbal Essences Set Me Up Heat Protection Spray
dbmiller 8/24/2012 12:21:00 PM
As good, if not better, as any other heat protector I've tried. I am not a believer that this, or any other heat protector, for that matter, will save your hair from heat styling, but if they help at all, then it's worth the small $4.29 price tag and I do think this helps.
This, for once, works being a Pantene product. I think over the course of 15 years or so have bought a million different variations of a styler like this and this is the first one to ever work. It moisturizes and nourishes my hair so well that I think the Neutrogena Silk Touch Leave In Cream (which everyone raves about, but I've not been too impressed with) is a joke. This has really helped my hair and will continue to be a part of my regimen until Pantene discontinues it and replaces it with some other variation of it that will probably not work, given their track record. UPDATE: This comes out in a huge blob; DON'T use it all or hair will be sticky and weighed down.
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720

I like to use this with more luminous foundations. It looks really natural and adds some color to my face. You can't beat the price, either.
BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
dbmiller 7/30/2012 11:29:00 AM
This is ok. Out of all the BB creams I own, this is my least favorite. It's not as moisturizing as any of the others I own, which all happen to be drugstore brands. This also doesn't have very good coverage. I do, however, appreciate the SPF 30 aspect of it.
BB Cream -L'Oreal - Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator
dbmiller 7/30/2012 11:26:00 AM
For me, this is an almost exact dupe of the Garnier BB Cream in texture, moisturizing properties, SPF and fragrance. I happen to love that one and this is just a bit more expensive. The coverage is good with these, and it does help my skin appear more illuminated. My husband said I look gorgeous when just wearing this, so that's good! :)
