I had been looking for a replacement for my Mac brow powder, as it had been discontinued. Everything I tried seemed to have too much warmth or red to it. This is the perfect natural shade for most brows. I am a cosmetician and have used this for many makeup applications on all different kinds of skin tones. I will buy this from now on, so glad I found it.

Moisturizers -Neostrata - Ultra-Smoothing Cream (10% Glycolic Acid)

In Canada, this is also known as Neostrata's Oil Free Smoothing Lotion, Level 3, not to be confused with the Daytime Smoothing Lotion, which is, in my opinion, not as good. I use this cream nightly and it is an amazing product. It is quite intense, so if you have very sensitive skin, be very careful with how often you apply. My skin is fairly used to AHA's so it responds well. This stuff is fantastic for smoothing your skin and evening skintone. This works so well that my husband's male friend even made a comment as to how smooth my skin was looking and that I looked younger. I don't use this during the day too, I tried and it was just too much for my skin. Be sure to use the advice and apply sunscreen during the day as the glycolic acid will thin your skin. I don't find that this makes my skin oily in the least, if anything, it could be a bit more moisturizing but will probably be perfect when the summertime finally rolls around. Oh, and I don't find this has any offensive scent whatsoever. What an amazing product, so glad I tried it. Update: I got away from using this for awhile, not sure why, just trying other products. I started using this again 2 days ago and I already see such a difference in my skin. It's so smooth and the tone is already evening out. I will never stray again.

I love this colour! I guess you could say it is technically orange but it is on the red side. It is the perfect shade I was looking for, makes me think 50's housewife for some reason. I was looking for a match to OPI's Red My Fortune Cookie as I have nowhere to purchase OPI where I live. I get a lot of compliments on this.

This stuff is so cheap and the colour is gorgeous, just what I was looking for. It isn't long lasting but I don't expect that from any gloss really. Very pretty and fresh colour, I love it! Update: Had to take a lippie off because this makes my lips tingle in an unpleasant way. It doesn't say it's plumping but it has that feeling and I don't like it.

I personally LOVE the smell of this! This is rather expensive but I did find it made such a huge difference in my hair. My hair has been overdone and is very fine and dry/dammaged. With one use of this my hair looked and felt completely transformed. Not only was it soft but it looked a lot smoother and healthier. I only needed the smallest amount and it did an amazing job. I will repurchase this in the future.

Eye Makeup Remover -Clean & Clear - Oil free Soothing Eye Makeup Remover

This stuff isn't bad, and it's cheap. I decided to give it a try upon reading such good reviews. I had previously been using Jonhson's Baby shampoo to remove eye makeup, which worked just great and I will be returning to using that. Johnson's removes eye makeup with much greater ease I find. I was also turned off because I would notice that the clean and clear seemed to cause me to get more eye goobers during the day. It also seemed to make my eye makeup smudge more, could just be my imagination. It claims it doesn't contain oil but seemed oily to me.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush

I got this for free but I cannot say that I would pay money for it in the future. I received one of the plum colours, which is darker than most of them. This went on quite sheer and was very pretty and natural looking but I found that after a few hours, it was barely detectible and that just won't do for me. I would recommend this to people who are afraid of wearing blush.

This stuff gives barely any colour. I wasn't impressed with it at all, it will probably end up in the garbage. Waste of money.

Fragrances -Paris Hilton - Heiress by Paris Hilton

We sell this at my work and although I haven't yet commited to purchasing my own, I can't help but spray this on myself when I'm there. The scent is young and fresh, fruity and clean. It almost reminds me of the old Pantene flora scent, which I love. It might be a tad too young for me but I think I could pull it off. It would be a very nice summer scent. Oh, and I happen to love the bottle. I would be a tad embarrassed if anyone were to ask what I was wearing but oh well.

I don't like this stuff. I bought the purple one and I wish the colour was richer, I feel like it looks faded after a short while, like a matter of minutes. Plus, it smudges like no other, I mean after I've just been sitting talking for an hour, I look in the mirror and it's already began to move. I would like to toss this.

Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Professional Mineral Powder Brush #45

OMG do I ever LOVE Sephora. I had never tried their brushes but went in there today and noticed this one. I don't like mineral makeup but I do wear powder foundation daily and figured it was a good idea to invest in a good brush. Is this brush ever beautiful. It feels amazing and is awesome when used to apply powder foundation. I am in love and will seriously consider investing in more Sephora brushes. Update: I recently tried this with liquid foundation and it works amazingly well! It blends in very effortlessly and makes your skin look super smooth and natural. I love this brush.

Treatments -Revlon - Crazy Shine nail buffer

Love this! I recently have had to stop using nail polish as it takes a beating at work and looks awful after a day. This stuff is cheap, foolproof and makes my nail super shiny and beautiful. This is the perfect alternative to those who are unable to wear polish at work or otherwise. I will definitely buy this again!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast 24 HR Mascara

Personally I wasn't impressed with this mascara. I do like how the brush is good at separating the lashes but I found it took at least three coats before I got any kind of volume. Even then, I more or less used this as a primer before using another more dramatic mascara overtop. Afterwards, the results were pretty good but not worth the effort it took to achieve. It did keep them curled for a long time but when I went to remove it at night it was nearly impossible to get it all off and in the am I still had gunk on a few lashes.

Shampoo -Live Clean - (Apple cider)- clearifying shampoo

I was interested in trying apple cider vinegar on it's own as I have heard good things. I thought this would be a nice place to start as this product does contain Brag's apple cider vinegar but actually smells nice. This clarifies beautifully without leaving my hair feeling super dry and stripped. I will use this weekly to remove the styling products and dry shampoo from my hair. The conditioner on the other hand is super super light and I need something with more detangling power. Both nice products, though.
