Cleansers -L'Oreal - De-maq'Expert Elixir Concentrate
Xdevilisious 1/21/2009 2:58:00 AM
This product is in one word useless. I did everything the package said and it barely got my blusher off. Of course all my waterproof mascara and eyeliner was still on my face, at best a little bit smudged. It is horrid and I will never ever even consider repurchasing. Edit: I still wouldn't repurchase but it's not as bad as I innitiately tought. Still: don't ever buy this if you have longlasting make-up or use waterproof stuff, it just can't take that off. If you use very light make up this might be a good product for you though (although I'm convinced there's better for cheaper)

Blush -Bourjois - rose d'or
Xdevilisious 11/12/2008 7:38:00 AM
Whoa. I just bought this on midseasonsales and I'm wowed. I had been looking for a new blush for ages and after reading the good reviews I decided to try it. I was a bit worried when I saw what it looked like in the package because it looked extremely shimmery! But when I applied it it just gave me a nice glow without looking fake. It looks very natural and one sweep does the trick for me. I'm very pale with blonde hair and blue eyes and this is perfect for me. It is buildable but with me that looks a bit weird so I'll stick with one sweep. The package is a bit tricky at first but once you get the hang of it it's allright, just dont use too much force. On the whole a lovely blush, will definetly repurchase and try other colors of this.

Eye Shadow -Bourjois - Mini Bourjois Dose de Nacres #1
Xdevilisious 11/12/2008 4:57:00 AM
I got these in colors 1, 5 and 8. They're quite shimmery but the shimmers aren't "offensive", they're just nice. Without a primer they'll stay on for most of the day, with primer they're indestructible. 1 is a bronze/brown color. As one of the reviewers above me, I've also used this as a bronzer/highlighter on my cheecks which is also lovely. 5 is a blue with a silvery undertone. It looks like a jeanscolour. 8 is a poisonous green color. If you apply too much of this it'll look too yellow. I love to combine this one with the blue one as it gives a very pretty effect. The main thing I like about these is that they're so small... I have a few "suivez-mon-regard" eyeshadows by bourjois and I found that they never ever run out. These little ones are cheaper and also last for ages so it's a good buy. They also are quite similar to the suivez-mon-regards. The only thing i miss is the little shaker, if you're not carefull you'll get this all over the place.

Shampoo -Nexxus - Theratin
Xdevilisious 11/7/2008 3:43:00 AM
I got this as a sample (thank god cause if i hadn't i would have purchased this). the sample lasted 2 weeks for me so i had plenty of time to test it and see if there was a difference. the shampoo is very thick and smells extremely nice (like a pina colada if you ask me) and lathers well. It's also easy to rinse. BUT it didn't do anything for my dry hair, even after two weeks of using this every other day. It still begged me for conditioner and i had once tried just the shampoo without conditioner to see the full effect of the shampoo and my hair felt dryer than ever so it didn't moisture my hair at all. And in the end that's why I would have gotten this, so in my opinion this shampoo failed me.

Powder -Prestige - Skin Loving Minerals Gentle Finish Mineral Powder Foundation
Xdevilisious 9/23/2008 6:21:00 AM
This is actually the first mineral foundation I like. I got it in fair, which is a bit too light for me now, but which will be perfect in the winter. Untill then I just use a bit of bronzer on top of it. It has a decent coverage, I have clear skin (no spots) but I do have a few red spots and this covers them up just fine. It doesn't completely cover my big pores on my nose and cheecks, but still reduces the look kinda. If you want complete coverage for big pores don't get this. The thing i love about this one is that, unlike other mineral foundations i've tried, this keeps me matte rather than turning into a smudge if my skin starts shining. It also has a really nice glow. Overall a really good product! Looks very natural. Only thing i like less is that you cant transport the package without making a mess cause the sticker that was suposed to keep the powder in has already stopped sticking.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
Xdevilisious 9/14/2008 4:49:00 AM
When I first aplied this product I was wowwed by it. So much volume and so much lenght! But after half an hour I was just left with black lashes, a bit more volume, and no extra lenght. Although Lancome advertised this product as a spectacular mascara, I would say this is a more natural looking, everyday mascara. It has a really good brush, I have been using this one for half a year now and I rarely get clumps. I also love the packaging, it's so elegant looking! As for the staying power, it is quite decent. If there's wind and I get teary eyes it WILL run out quite quickly, but apart from those occasions it stays on all day. Overall an OK product, but don't buy it if you want a spectacular mascara. Frankly I think you could get the same effects from a drugstorebrand mascara, which is why I won't rebuy.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Big Blue Bath Bomb
Xdevilisious 9/14/2008 4:39:00 AM
I don't get why so many people adore this product. I got it for free as a sample (thank God I didn't have to pay for it!). The smell isn't very strong if you ask me, I barely noticed it. I do like how it colours my bathwater blue and it fizzes well too. But why I really dislike this product is because of the bits of seaweed in it. After my relaxing bath I found myself on hands and knees trying to get them out of my drain because it stopped the water from flowing away. I don't really get why LUSH always wants to put bits of junk in their soaps and bath bombs anyway, it messes up a product which would have been perfectly fine if they hadn't! And to be completely honest, I think the bath bombs are far too expensive. I'll go with a drugstorebrand one next time <3

Bronzers -L'Oreal - Glam Bronze Compact bronzing powder in Golden Sun
Xdevilisious 8/28/2008 2:02:00 PM
I adore the packaging, it's really easy to take with you because it also has a brush and a mirror in it (took me 2 days to notice...). If you have a bit of a tan I would advice to get a darker shade. I bought the lightest because I'm blonde and only have a tiiiny bit of a tan, so this looks very natural on me. I might get a darker one aswell for when I'm starting to use selftan again. Then again, you CAN build this up, but then it looks less natural. I only have to touch up if I go out in the evening. Main thing i like is that its not glittery. It only has a bit of a shimmer in it to give it a glow, but not that much that you really see the glittery stuff. This is just a good, basic, natural looking bronzer.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Sultana of Soap
Xdevilisious 7/19/2008 1:46:00 PM
I have mixed feelings about this soap. On the one hand it lathers well, makes my skin feel smooth and it just smells oh so gorgeous it always makes me feel cheery. On the other hand this soap runs out very soon. I got the habit of cutting my LUSH products into smaller bits so they don't disolve so quickly, but this soap still ran out real quick. Also, I hate how lush puts bits of fruit or seeds or other junk in their soap which is meant to exfoliate. In some soaps it exfoliates too roughly (figs and leaves) and in some you don't even notice (this is one of those). But ALWAYS after rinsing yourself no matter how long with water you'll keep finding these exfoliating bits on your skin. Which is, of course, not very charming. Overall, in spite my list of cons being longer than my list of pros, I do kinda like this soap and might repurchase. It's mainly the smell and the skinsmoothing effect which persuade me :)

Cleansers -LUSH - coal face soap
Xdevilisious 7/19/2008 1:40:00 PM
This is my second cleanser by Lush (first one was angels on bare skin). If you want me to compare it I would say this one is alot less luxurious but also alot more effective.Angels on bare skin was also a nice cleanser but never 100% removed all my make up, this one does. After using I feel squeaky clean. (but not so squeaky as where it completely dries out my skin) The smell is something I came to appreciate when I saw how good it was. This is a great cleanser for oily skin in my opinion. I do recommend cutting it into smaller chunks when you use it, it will last alot longer. This also helped my neck stay clear of spots during my monthly breakout.

Masks -Freeman - Pure Ambition Purifying Facial Clay mask with Avocado and Oatmeal
Xdevilisious 7/14/2008 5:27:00 AM
I hate this product. A clay masque is supposed to help you get rid of blackheads and spots. I have pretty clear skin myself but it's a bit oily which is why I like using a clay masque now and then to get rid of excess oils. THIS STUFF BROKE ME OUT LIKE MAD! I don't even have sensitive skin and rarely have spots but after using this mask they were all over me. After my skin had calmed down I decided to give it another try but nope, same thing happened. I don't know what caused this reaction but for me, this mask is the worst thing my skin ever experienced. Will never ever repurchase this horrible stuff.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Dream Cream
Xdevilisious 7/7/2008 4:24:00 AM
This isn't a cheap product but to me it's worth every penny. This must be the most moisturizing cream I've ever tried! I have a skincondition on my upperarms which made them feel very rough and dry and this cream has really done wonders for it. What I like about this cream: - This cream makes me feel moisturized but doesn't give me the feeling that if I'd squeeze my skin the cream would all come out again (which most moisturizing creams give me). - This makes my skin the softest ever. Also if I forget to apply this for a day my skin still feels pretty soft which is new to me. What I don't like about this cream: - Although along the way I grew fond of the smell I can understand people not liking this. The scent is that of lavendersticks. People who garden will know that that scent isn't all too bad but can give you a bit of a headache if you're not used to it. - This cream gave me no problems, it only solved them. However, my mum tried this cream on her skin and it broke her out massively. I wouldn't really recommend this cream to use on your face unless its really really dry. - Because the lush pots aren't the biggest ones so this runs out fairly quick making this product even more expensive. You don't really need much product but if you plan to use this all over your body then myeah. Overall I'm very fond of this product.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Figs and leaves soap
Xdevilisious 7/7/2008 4:17:00 AM
I bought this soap because the saleswoman said it would do wonders to make my dry and rough skin soft and silky. As this wasn't the most expensive one I gave it a try. Pros: - smells nice - calms me a bit Cons: - I admit that I have really really dry skin but this soap really did NOTHING to make it softer. When I first try a soap I skip bodybutter to see what just the soap does for me. It felt as if my skin would rip if I moved too swiftly. - The seeds, which are meant to do the exfoliating, are far too rough. They really scratch but not in a good way, this does more damage to your skin than good IMO.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Sea Vegetable Soap
Xdevilisious 7/7/2008 4:13:00 AM
To keep things short: this is just an ordinary soap with a nice scent. It also has a side which you can scrub with, although with me this side was gone after a few uses so don't buy it for that. If you have a normal skin and you love this smell you can buy it all you want, if you have sensitive skin or dry skin (like me) I don't recommend this stuff. Just like ordinary soaps this dries you out. Won't repurchase.

Cleansers -LUSH - Angels on Bare Skin
Xdevilisious 7/4/2008 2:44:00 AM
Wow. I am very handy with make up and all but even to me it took me a while to figure out how to use this best. I just wet my hands a little (not too much or I can't rub it apart anymore), then I rub it into smaller bits and then apply on my face. So is it any good? I love using this in the morning. If you do it right it really gives your skin a glow, but doesn't make it oily. It didn't cause me breakouts either but then again, I'm not THAT sensitive. I also like the smell, which kinda reminds me of pasta with pesto (don't ask...). One con is that it isn't super at removing make up. To remove my foundation in the evening I use a different product than this. As for the exfoliating part, it DOES exfoliate but not much. It's not as harsh as most daily scrubs so if you're looking for something more gentle this could be it for you. Does it last long? Heck yes. When I saw this in the shop for over 8 euros for a tiny pot I hesitated to buy. I know how much cleaners I usually need and no way that this would last long like that. But I found out you really only need a tiny pinch of the stuff to completely cleanse your face so this will last a long while. And as a little goes a long way the price is actually pretty cheap in my opinion. Overall: a nice product, especially to give your skin a bit of a boost in the morning but don't expect it to take off tons of make up perfectly. Will definetly repurchase.
