I always go back to this. It's lipstick-tube form that's great for covering up marks or blemishes, too heavy for undereye. I'm a ppp w/slight olive and pink in my cheeks. This is the perfect color and consistency. Use Shu's pro concealer under eyes.
Treatments -Clarins - Renew Plus Night Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

I was disappointed with this product. Love most Clarins skincare and makeup, but this has oil in it and is probably the reason my skin has broken out (normally don't have this problem). Moisturizing for a lotion. All natural ingredients. Can get for less at strawberrynet.com.
Lipstick -Sue Devitt - Balanced Matte Lipstick in Moscow
Suil 8/14/2003 10:37:00 AM
This is a beautiful, step-above-neutral plummy-brown color. Moisturizing, long-lasting and creamy. I'm a PPP w/dark hair & eyes, and alternate this (pretty w/Delux Norris gloss over it) with MAC "O" most of the time. Nice packaging, pricey but worth it.
Cleansers -Clarins - Cleansing Milk for dry to normal skin
Suil 5/21/2003 8:52:00 AM
I've used Clarins gentle night cream (for sensitive skin) for a long time and love it. Have had good luck with most other Clarins products. This cleanser, however, made my normal skin break out. It feels good on, but if you have any skin type but dry, I wouldn't recommend this.
Lipstick -Shiseido - Advanced Performance Lipstick in Faded Mauve
Suil 4/30/2003 10:51:00 AM
This color, a purple-nude a bit deeper than neutral, is gorgeous. Similar color to Sue Devitt's Verbier, but stays on longer and is slightly browner and sheerer. The sleek, sophisticated brownish/reddish sheer tube is very pretty also. Great spring/summer color or can be layered for more drama. Not sure of price since I got it on sale.
After reading the rave reviews, I tried this. I'm not a big MAC fan, except for "O" lipstick, but thought this might be an exception. It wasn't. The color went on a flat gray and I didn't see the blue. It didn't do anything for my brown eyes and ivory skin.
Eye Shadow -Shu Uemura - eye shadow in IR rainbow 900p
Suil 4/15/2003 11:32:00 AM
This shadow is wonderful, as in texture, color, useability. I usually layer it over a nude base (MAC brule or LORAC nude), to add brightness. It's iridescent without shimmer. This comes in 2 other tints, with slight gold and slight silver, I believe.
After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to try this gloss. Like the previous reveiwer, I'm pale (PPP) with dark hair and eyes and looked washed out with these glosses. They're good for spring/summer but only a couple have more color and you can buy less expensive, better-smelling glosses (i.e. Delux) elsewhere. They're also sticky, so keep that in mind if your hair is long enough to stick to your lips.
I was about to buy UD's XXX clear gloss but couldn't justify the price ($16?). Then I found this clear one by Sephora...it's reasonably priced at $7, smells nice (sort of vanilla-y), is portable in a plastic tube and has a good amount of product. Perfect to layer for that shiny wet look.
I wanted to love this (normal to dry formula), after reading the rave reviews. Unfortunately, after only 2 days using this, there were tiny red bumps on my forehead, which have gone away when stopped using it. Lancome said it must be an allergic reaction, not sure which ingredient. My skin is normal to slightly dry and usually doesn't break out.
Eye Shadow -Shu Uemura - ME Silver 945 [DISCONTINUED]
Suil 3/6/2003 12:15:00 PM
Love this shadow! Similar to Chantecaille's graphite, but with more shimmer and pigmentation. Can wet for darker color. Great as a crease color (i'm a ppp with brown eyes) or liner. My only negative is that if you drop the plastic case on the floor, the shadow shatters and is hard to keep contained after that...highly recommended, though.
Fragrances -Trish McEvoy - Blackberry and Vanilla Musk #9 EDP
Suil 3/5/2003 11:16:00 AM
I'm not a perfume person. This is such a nice, light every day scent that I wear it every day. It's not overpowering or saccharine sweet, and the people next to me in the elevator don't complain (lol). Highly recommended. The #9 shower gel is also nice, but too expensive. You get more value for your money with the perfume.
After reading the raves about this, thought it would be one of the best. I was disappointed--it didn't add much drama to my lashes and the price is too high for an average mascara, imho. Prefer Prescriptives false lashes for a little less $ & a lot more drama.
Concealers -Shu Uemura - Pro Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
Suil 1/7/2003 10:16:00 AM
This works well for undereye circles. The color selection is good but limited, so if you find a color that works (I use medium light), I'd recommend it. It doesn't work as well for blemishes because it's slightly dry. No creasing and easy to carry because it comes in a tiny square compact. Will repurchase. A little goes a long way, so this will last. The SA recommended warming it up with your finger and applying, rather than using a brush. Worth the $21.
Lip Gloss -Delux Beauty - Norris Lipgloss [DISCONTINUED]
Suil 12/29/2002 12:25:00 PM
Norris is the perfect gloss! I wear it alone (good for the gym to the party), over other colors (looks great over MAC "O") and always go back to it. Pigmented color that's shiny enough for gloss but not sticky and tacky. Similar to Shiseido's ruby lustre gloss, but better pigmentation and lasting power. Small size that lasts a long time. Don't miss this one :}
